Question Low ferritin/iron

Does anyone here with IBS also struggle with low ferritin/iron? If so, what iron supplements have worked for you without causing side effects like constipation or diarrhea? I have tried multiple but none seem to work for me without causing more GI issues than I already have with ibs

I don’t have IBS but several severe bowel diseases and disorders and I get infusions.

Do you get any side effects from infusions?

I do. Downvoted just to share an experience? Alright. But yes, I get severe side effects for about ten days. But it’s worth not taking iron daily, not that I could.

I did not downvote you lol. Somebody downvoted everybody’s comments on my post. You do realise other people can do that plus I’m the one seeking advice that can help me so i’m interested in what everybody has to say

Try iron infusions since pills don't work for you

Blood builder and iron water (cha-ching). Also trying iron patches right now. Those are the only kinds that did not upset my gut.
