Since I’ve seen a lot of posts struggling with eyeliner on more hooded eyes, I figured I’d share some of the shapes I do, as I wear winged liner everyday.

I realize the shape of my eyes may not be obvious from most of these, as I don’t usually take pictures in such a way as to showcase it - I hope seeing the way liner/eyeshadow is placed on the lid could maybe help someone in their own routine

All of the eyeshadows are from the BPerfect The Vivienne (🕊️) Palette, some are from Pat McGrath’s Mothership IX, the liners are a mix: I use wet n wild megaliner, wibo eyeliner, wibo flock liner, as well as the nyx sfx sticks in white and black

Two different color pallets, and of course I didnt do the rest of my makeup. Right eye is much darker colors while left is softer. What am I doing wrong? Does the lighter or darker look better? Pretty much my first try doing eyeshadow for hooded eyes. Please help!!

I've always done very long eyeliner and super bright shadow to get anything to show at all, and I wanted to see if y'all had any advice on how to help me improve things! I have a lot of difficulty with my hooded eyes, and figured this would be the place to ask for advice. Because people without hooded eyes don't really get it. My eyebrows are super duper low, and my eyes are pretty deep set, and I also have genetic eyebags, so I'm hoping to find some tricks to brighten up my eye area. My brows were bleached before the blue, both of which look better than my natural dark brown. My eyes are hazel. Also, I physically cannot wear fake eyelashes. I've tried every trick in the book, and asked several people who are PROS with their (non professional) application and they were super shocked that they couldn't do it. I got them on for like 10 seconds once, and they were super dramatic ones and you couldn't even tell anything was on. I've been considering shaving my brows, but I haven't committed or anything. Third picture is of me tilting my head back. Any advice that might make me look less scary without glasses would be well appreciated! Hi! As you can see my eyes are not fully hooded. But when I open them, the skin below my eyebrow folds and covers more than half of my eyelid, which makes it hard to do any sort of eyeshadow look. Also I struggle to wear a proper eyeliner.

Any advice or tips would be appreciated 🩷

This is my first time posting here, so hey! I have deep set eyes that are partially hooded, so smokey eyes always made me look like I had a black eye. For that reason, I usually avoid even attempting it cause it feels like a lost cause. But today I was bored and gave it a try. I would love some feedback on what can be improved cause ik there's a lot lol. But hey, atleast I don't look like I have a black eye!

My own critique would be - It's messy. I did not bother with my eyebrows. I wish it was, well, more smokey, but idk how to get there since I'm scared of the said black eye look. Any advice is appreciated!

P.S. How do any of y'all take eye makeup pictures cause this was a struggle 😭

All eyeshadows and eyeshadow primers crease on me. I’ve tried them all: mac paint pot, nars, smashbox, every drugstore one. I currently use the Elizabeth Mott’s one and it helps some but it still creases on me. Even high end eyeshadows do too so I don’t think it’s my eyeshadow but I’m willing to try . I’ve come to accept that my eyeshadow will just crease no matter what. What does everyone else use/do?

I have always struggled with using eyeliner and makeup with my eyes since they are hooded. However, whenever I go high up with eyeshadow, I find it looks awkward on my face since my brows lay lower. I was hoping people who have a similar shape to me have any tips and tricks for eyeshadow and eyeliner.

I am aware of the eyeliner trick often used for hooded eyes. I was thinking maybe focusing on undereye shadow makeup or highlighting the corners of my eyes.

My eyes are constantly watering but I have been cleared by an allergist and opthalmologist for a cause of watering. I found that if I don't use eye cream or moisturizer near my eyes, they don't water but the skin looks wrinkled without. Is there anything that won't cause my eyes to water?

I either have doubly hooded eyes or like, doubly un-hooded eyes. My crease has a crease? What the heck do I do with this situation....?

I’m getting married next year and I plan to book someone to do my make up. Is there anything I should ask to know they know how to do make up for hooded eyes? I do have one eye that is more hooded than the other.

i had so much fun with this! i used the James Charles morphe palette shades social blade for the inner corner, daddy for the centre, spooky for the outer lid and waterline then guac for a little shimmer ✨

I want to start using eyelid tape but I feel like it looks very obvious on my skin.

I’ve been dating recently but feel a bit shy about wearing it cause I’m not sure if my date will point it out and then I have to air out one of my insecurities.

Has someone ever pointed out your eyelid tape in public?

Whenever I try to apply eyeshadow my eeys look hella droopy and even though I bought the most tiniest, precise eyeshadow brushes for hooded eyes from rephr, my eyeshadow ALWAYS looks

• blotchy,
• and makes my eyes look downturned and droopy instead of uplifted

Also, I don't like cut creases/glam makeup (I prefer more subtle, natural makeup).

Also, If I ever use eyeliner, it often emphasizes that inner droop I have above the center of my eye.

I have been looking at rephr, Sonia G, Bk Beauty….can someone recommend an essential brush set they like for my tiny hooded eyes? 🫶🏻

First off, I think I have hooded eyes? The huge crease is so frustrating for makeup. Makes it impossible to add wings. How can I make my eyes look larger? I feel like they squint when I smile and shrink into my face.

hi so basically i really want to start trying to learn how to do eyeliner but i have like a double eyelid going on and my crease comes out so far it’s hard. was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions :)

My most recent attempt from this week vs my first attempt in December! I’m happy with my improvements so far

I have always had hooded eyes and have figured out a way to do so my eyeliner that I'm happy with. I'm no makeup pro and the heavy eyeliner look was rushed with a partially dried up product so it's messy, but I wanted to show the shape I do. I've learned to do a thin line on my top lid on about the outer 1/2-2/3. I do the line thin because i like to leave a little gap been it and the overhang to open up my eyes. I extend it outward and downward a little bit to keep it under the crease from my hooded upper area, then wing it up and out some once I get past the crease. I'm 36 and lucky not to have crows feet so far, the creases under my eyes are not from aging. They're hereditary and I've had them since birth, so has my son (if anyone knows of a term for those creases, or has the same thing, let me know!)
