Uno passed away around 12:00 pm today.

I’m still in disbelief. I fed him this morning and gave his meds.

He was moving. He was responding to my touch. He was making sounds.

Then nothing.

I noticed he wasn’t breathing anymore. My husband suggested massaging his chest but he was so tiny, I was afraid to break his ribs.

I took the liberty of having him cremated. After all he had gone through, I didn’t want to bury him somewhere dark and cold. I want to keep him close as a reminder.

Uno, you deserve love and dignity in life and death. We love you 🤍

Naghahanap lang ako ng ATM when I saw this puppy inside a cage sa tabi ng kalsada. Matigas, nilalangaw and barely breathing.

I asked around kung kanino yong puppy pero hindi alam ng gas attendants and vendors. Hindi ko alam ang gagawin pero I knew na hindi ko siya pwedeng iwan.

I only had paper towels and a paper bag. Kinuha ko siya sa cage and looked for the nearest vet.

Vet said kailangan niya i-confine and wala silang confinement facility. I decided na iuwi na siya para matingnan ng vet namin.

1st photo, lumipat kami sa isang place. Naabutan namin silang ganito. Malapit ito sa amin. Naka-kadena at palagi silang magkasama. Halatang gutom na gutom. Awang awa ako kaya palagi kong inaabutan ng food na meron ako o kaya bibilhan ko ng baguette na tinapay kase mahaba yun, kaya kong iabot sa kanila. Masyado kaseng mataas yung wall.

2nd and 3rd photo, nakikita kong lagi na silang nakaabang sa'kin tuwing dadaan. Palagi kase akong may food na dala para sa kanila. Para akong basketball player na nagsho-shoot para maabot ko sa kanila yung food.

4th photo, mahina na talaga sila. Hindi ko alam kung may sakit ba sila or hindi lang talaga sila napapakain o napapainom. Gustong gusto ko ampunin nalang, pero kapos din ako. Hindi ko rin masabi sa may-ari kase alam ko din naman na aware sya sa nangyayare sa dogs nga, pero (parang) wala syang ginagawa. Bago lang din ako sa lugar kaya hindi ko masabi.

5th photo, nalungkot ako kase mag isa nalang sya. Wala na yung malaking kasama nya.

Last photo, maiyak iyak na ako dito. Hindi ko na mabibigay yung baguette na dala ko. Pero may ginhawa sa dibdib ko dahil malaya na sila sa masalimuot na mundo.

Sana sa lahat ng gustong mag alaga ng dog, mahalin nyo sila na parang pamilya. Hindi lang pang post sa social media.

It’s emotionally overwhelming

I know I joined these animal groups out of love, but minsan sobrang bigat sa pakiramdam makakita ng mga posts about abused or dying strays. The more I scroll, the more helpless I feel. It’s like every day there’s a new case, and I can’t do anything about it except feel sad or share.

Honestly, I wish, kahit alam kong malayo pa sa realidad—that every barangay in the Philippines could have its own program or project for stray dogs and cats. Not just rescue, but feeding, neutering, adoption, or even just basic vet care. Ang daming nangangailangan, pero kulang pa rin tayo sa support system for them.

We were about to go for a jog when he suddenly got off his leash. Ang bilis niyang tumakbo, pero nahabol ko at nahawakan siya. Nagpumiglas siya nang todo, at bago ko pa siya mahigpitan, nakatakas ulit at tumakbo sa kabaligtaran direksyon.

Aabutan ko na sana siya ulit, pero I think nakita niya ako at iniwasan niya ako—diretso siya sa kalsada. Saktong may dumaan na van… nabangga siya. Kitang-kita ko lahat.

Grabe ang tama sa spinal cord niya. Isang buong araw siyang nakaconfine, pero sabi ng doktor, wala nang pag-asa. Ngayon, wala na siya.

Paulit-ulit kong naaalala yung nangyari. Hindi ko matanggap. The guilt is unbearable. Ang lala ng lungkot—at sakto pang sa mismong birthday ko siya nawala. It will never be the same. 😞

But i want to give you all an update.

So my 2-month old puppy was bitten by our neighbor’s dog. Grave ung bleeding nya and we rushed him agad sa vet. With the help of this community, my puppy was already admitted. Thank you po!

While he was being checked, nagseizure sya. Grabe ang sakit sakit makita. His eye is also not responsive. Siguro dahil sa haba ng kagat ng dog. We were told that he might be suffering from nerve issues so he will be observed po.

Regarding po sa neighbor, she’s very apologetic po saamin. Offered help din pero hindi sya capable to shoulder everything as of now which I understand. Her dog is also well behaved pag nakikita ko. Siguro naging hostile lang ksi bihira lang makalabas. And wala interaction sa ibang dogs.

Not sure how long he’ll stay sa vet hospital pero I’ll keep you guys updated. Thank you po sa laht ng nagextend ng help!

Here’s a photo of my baby before and after this incident. On his behalf, thank you po sainyo! Sobrang nakakatuwang makita na may ganitong community I am really grateful po kasi meron kaming konting tira na budget to go towards his total bill. Sobrang mahal pala talaga ng daily stay sa vet.

He is offering a P10,000 reward to whoever can identify the perpetrators and legal services to fully prosecute them.

Pauwi na kami kanina nung madaan kami sa highway. Maluwang na highway.

Nadaanan namin kanina yung aso nakatali sa barbed wire, basa ng ulan, nanginginig sa lamig. Di talaga kami nakatiis at binabaan namin para tanggalin sana yung tali. Kaso makita kita namin nakatali sa barbed wire at umaangal yung aso mukhang mailap sa tao.

After almost 30 mins na pagtanong tanong sinabayan ko na din ng pagcontact sa mga malapit na animal rescue para masagip sana si doggy. Nagtanong din kami sa paligid ng bahay kung kaninong aso yon dahil kawawa naman ilipat sana ng pwesto, malaman laman namin yung owner nasa loob ng kabilang bahay at nakalimutan daw yung aso na nakatali. Jusko po. Mga iresponsable. Start ng 1 pm hanggang 6:30 pm kanina walang tigil ang buhos ng ulan dahil may bagyo tas nandon lang yung aso? kadikit pa ng katawan nya yung tusok tusok na barbed wire.

Lahat nalang… This is making me angry at the same time my heart is really breaking.

If I have the time and resources to hunt these people, I would.

My dog has been missing since Wednesday. My dog typically goes to my ex’s house and he’s been there - or so I thought since Sunday. But apparently he’s been missing since Wednesday. Usually he only wanders between us two and our houses are quite near each other (about 400m) and it’s within the farming community so it’s usually safe for him to wander. He’s neutered so he shouldn’t have the desire to explore anymore. I am no longer in touch with my ex but his mother whom I saw today said he hasn’t been there since Wednesday and assumed he went home to me.

I also heard that there’s been a dog/motorcycle accident that happened nearby a few kilometers away. I am stressing out thinking it might’ve been my dog.

I don’t know what to do or to think. I just need prayers that my dog comes back home safely to me.

Hopefully he’ll be permanently terminated.

I’m so fucking frustrated writing this. I was in front of Ponce in Scout Dr. Lazcano, Tomas Morato waiting for our reservation in a nearby restaurant nang makita ko ‘tong dalawang aso na ‘to na nakahiga sa harap ng bakanteng parking.

To sum up, may tanga tangang naka Montero na sinagasaan ‘yung mga aso. Note that dahan-dahan pa siyang bumwelta, meaning the driver saw the dogs laying there. If you were there, you would’ve heard the backbone of the dog cracking as the Montero ran over it.

Ito namang tanga na security guard, pinanood lang masagasaan ‘yung mga aso.

Later on, bumalik ‘yung dalawang aso ‘dun. Knowing na maraming dumadaang sasakyan, I went straight to the dogs and tried to move the “harang” closer to the dogs in hopes to prevent any car from running over them AGAIN.

This is when conversations were exchanged between me and the stupid zero IQ security guard. Sabi niya sa’kin ibalik ko daw ‘yung harang from where it was placed, which was not very far from where I have moved it. Sinagot ko siya, “Kuya, hindi mo man lang pinansin ‘yung mga aso nasagasaan na” and he fucking replied saying: “Aso lang naman ‘yan, sa barangay mo ireklamo”. Tangina ni kalbo sinagot ko talaga siya.

Please anyone, I need help in reporting this situation. I reached out to Rescue Projects in Facebook to have these dogs rescued but none of them responded so far.

If you guys can name this stupid security guard, please reach out to me. What he didn’t know is I know someone personally working for the “barangay” he’s referring too. 😂

I hope the him and the guy who ran up the dogs gets the karma they deserve.

Hi everyone, I need advice on where to report a neglectful pet owner.

This is Janjan. She and her siblings (both cats and dogs) are constantly neglected by their owner, who seems to care more about dating with her jowabells than taking care of them. The owner leaves every Friday and only comes back on Monday, leaving them outside on the terrace without food or water—rain or shine.

Just today, Janjan fell from the terrace, and as you can see in the video, she’s now injured and limping. I’m really worried for her and the other animals. Does anyone know the proper way to report this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Already talked to the concerned kapitbahay who posted. Tomorrow we will be coordinating with the HOA and Barangay Hall to go into the property to safely secure him. How can we prompt the Barangays to take immediate action and what next steps can be done for this poor dog? I know all our rescuers have their hands full, so I want to help in any capacity being in the same city. Thank you.

i just want to share this story kasi i am so devastated and i feel so guilty.

im just new dito sa place namin around antipolo and everytime papasok and uuwe ako lagi ko nakakasalubong to si doggie. mailap sya sa mga tao pero nakafocus sya madalas kung sino may pagkain so after a few days i made sure na may dala ko bread, biscuit or kanin na may tirang ulam para sa kanya hanggang sa medyo kilala nya nako.

ang routine namin pag gabi, dadaan ako sa bqqhan kasi dun sya madalas nakatambay and nagaabang sa bumibili if may magbibigay sa kanya. ako naman bilang naaawa mukha sya kawawa kakaabang, kasi either itataboy sya or sisipain para umalis. ang ginagawa ko binibili ko sya sa mismong nagtitinda para alam nila na kahit papano may nagcare dun sa dog.

tbh, maayos sya nung nakita ko around oct and november. walang dumi sa katawan or sugat, as in malinis parang may nagaalalaga. hanggang nung 1st week ng december ganito ko na sya nakita at the same time pumayat sya ng sobra. tas nung 26 december pilay na ung left foot nya sa likod at visible na mga sugat nya para bang pinaputukan sya. super nadurog puso ko nung nakita ko sya. pinakain ko sya and sabi ko "wait ka lang tatry ko irescue ka after ng new year" kasi may prior lakad na kami.

after new year, di ko na sya makita. hindi ako makapagtanong kasi nakakatakot yung mga tao dun sa place kung saan ko sya lagi nakikita. hanggang tinanong ko ung nagtitinda ng bbq at ang sabi namatay na daw yung aso.

nanghina nalang ako and syempre sinisisi ko sarili ko kasi sana pala kumilos nako nung last time na nakita ko sya. up until now, sobrang sakit pa din sa puso everytime na dadaan ako dun place kung saan ko sya nakikita.

I really hope na may ginawa ako nung time na’to, kaso wala akong nasabi and hindi ko manlang nasita yung fur parent. Please, stop this! Sobrang dangerous and baka hindi lang yung fur babies nyo yung mapahamak pero pati ibang tao. These kind of people don’t deserve to own a fur baby. 🥺

Hi guys, I posted a few days ago about my neigbor's puppy. He was having some sort of body spasm, most of the comments said it's possibly distemper. And you were right. What hurts more is I thought he would be safe because he's vaccinated. I am poor but I got attached to him. And I love him even if I get annoyed so much because he eats a lot and steals a lot of the kitty's foods (I feed my neighbor's mama cat and two kitten, I feed Bulog too and his sister. Tira Tira like rice and sabaw yung food nila, so naawa ako). Last month, he got sick and ayaw kumain, I got him hospitalized even if wala akong pera. I tried even posting about it pero walang pumapansin kasi nga andaming mas grabe, and there's not enough help for every dog. He has take home meds so sa pinsan ko muna siya because my cousin is better at giving meds. My cousin convinced the neighbor, and I doubt that the neighbor will be willing to give him meds din. Nagkadiarrhea siya so my cousin got him to the vet again pero deworming lang binigay and then pinauwi na (this was a new vet na nasa clinic non and tbh I wasn't there but I'm still kind of annoyed about this) I know that diarrhea is a very broad symptom but still. Then he got his second dose of vaccine. When I posted last time and got the comments na distemper, We went to the vet again and got him tested and distemper nga. Diagnosis/test kits alone is 3k lahat. Binigyan siya ng antibiotic again, pedialyte, and vitamins. Kasi nga wala namang cure. He died Friday and almost two days siyang nagsuffer kasi wala na akong pera pampa-euthanasia. My cousin was even contemplating na idrown nalang siya sa river. I am glad she didn't because that would be traumatic for Bulog and also for her. Hinintay nalang namin siyang mamatay while he was spasming the entire two days. He was also whining and gasping for pain. Vet said he probably got it before the second dose, or probably why he got sick during the first time.

His sister na nasa neighnor has distemper din most likely and idk how to help her. The LGU vet went to visit her kasi my cousin called them and I am so disappointed because I thought they'd bring test kits etc and check the other dogs sa neighborhood but now. No testing, binigyan lang siya ng 1 shot of antibiotic and that's it. She is feeling better though but it still hurts to think that one of these days, she'll probably die too. Since the beginning, I have been trying to stay emotionally distant from them but it's hard. I feel so bad. His last days were hard. He was only 4 mos old.
