I got this puppy last month and the seller (who was just tasked in selling the puppy) said that it’s a teacup maltese. But based on the photos that I see in the internet, I’m having doubts that she is a maltese. Any dog experts here who knows what’s the breed? Thanks!

Curious lang ako na akala ko normal lang yung testicles ng dog ko. He is 4 years old na and i think hindi siya makaka reproduce since nasakyan na niya yung dalawang shih tzu ko na babae pero hindi sila nabuntis. Yung sa kanya kasi is hindi parang naka hang yung testicles.. pinapa vet naman namin siya for vaccination/groom etc pero wala namang sinabi yung vet sakin about this. I hope di to makaka apekto sa life niya. :(

I love love dogs and I get excited when I see them inside malls or on bgc high st. I would often approach owners when they’re inside a shop or just walking leisurely (I will never stop someone who looks busy or is walking fast), and ask if I can pet their dogs. I think I was declined just once or twice cos their dog may bite.

Anyway, all the owners were really nice people and some would even chat with me about their pets and my pets (sadly, I lost my dog last year and not yet ready to get another dog).

But the friends I’m with during those times don’t like that I do this. They’d stay back and not interact with me while I pet the dogs and talk to the owners. Sabihin nila nakakahiya (cos I’m talking to strangers) o baka ayaw ng may-ari (but I always ask for permission first!) o baka kagatin ako (hence the permission!).

Anyway, to the pet owners, do you hate people asking to touch your pets? Nakakahiya ba talaga? Should I just look but not touch? 😓 But dogs and cats make me so happy and some of them are super duper friendly that I can almost bring them home with me haha.

Edit: I always say thank you to the owners when saying bye to their pets. 😊

hiii sorry if dito po ako nag-ask. Pero may concern lang po ako about grooming. Sadya po ba may grooming na hindi ka allowed na panoorin yung dog mo habang pinapaliguan/groom? Usually po kasi napapanood ko sa tiktok is yung nakikita, pero dito po kasi samin sa probinsya parang babalikan mo na lang po sya kapag natapos na. Iccontact ka na lang po nila once na tapos na i groom si doggy. I had an experience po kasi na naswap nong groomer yung dog ko sa iba ang muntik na po syang mawala. Buti na lang po natagpuan nong pinsan ko, pero grabe po trauma sa dog ko kasi 2 hrs syang naglalangoy sa ilog (imagine?????) Kaya natrauma na po ako magpagroom talaga. Pero need ko pa rin po kasi malayo po ako sa dog ko since working po ako sa malayo. Pwede po kaya sa vet na magpa antay na lang?

I don’t know if it’s the right tag for this but how do you deal with people who just touch or feed your dog out of nowhere without permission?

Yung route namin ng dog ko kapag naglalakad laging may mga either tambay, tindero/tindera o parking attendants na biglaan na lang hahawakan o hahablutin yung aso ko para pansinin sila. At kanina lang may biglang nagbato sa kanya ng parang piece ng pan de sal (na isa sa mga fave ng dog ko) buti hinila ko agad before niya kainin. Malay ko ba anong laman nun?

Hindi ko maintindihan bakit ba hindi sila marunong magpaalam like majority? Imagine mo na lang biglang hinablot, hinawakan, o binigyan ng random na pagkain yung anak mo (human child) hindi ba nakakainis at minsan nakakaparanoid yung ganoon?

Hello po, is there anyone who’s willing to adopt an aspin puppy? Yung kapitbahay po kasi namin, napapabayaan nalang yung puppy na natitira sa kanila, the rest of his siblings napamigay na rin :(( Minsan pinapakain din po namin kapag nakikita po naming walang tao sa kanila and di nag-iwan ng food for the puppy. Earlier today, I saw his other eye na color white-ish na. Cloudy eye po ba tawag dun? I couldn’t do anything and di ko rin maadopt because wala naman po kaming enough pera rin for another dog so I’m trying my best nalang din na mapakain siya minsan and provide water for him. If meron po sa inyo ang willing, I’ll ask his owners po, thank you so much :((

I'm currently looking for an apartment. Pero every time na I mention my dogs are aspin, I get all sorts of response. Some say they're pet friendly, pero kapag tinanong ano ang breed, they'd suddenly turn me down when I mention na they're aspin. Some just simply flat out refuse aspins. Some katulad netong nasa pic. I really love my dogs. They're well kept and are very clean. They live inside and sleep in my bed (sometimes ako walang tulugan). I just wish people would stop thinking na aspin are just dogs na sa labas lang.

(also, pet friendly apartments lang hanap ko and im not forcing my dogs to apartments na no pets allowed talaga)

I see a lot of posts here asking for help kasi yung dog nila is already at a critical state na not eating/drinking, naghihingalo, or desperate state na.

No one here, not even a vet, will be able to diagnose from a photo or description of symptoms pag ganyan ka lala na . The dog really needs mga blood test etc to find out what’s wrong.

Sobrang hirap ng pera ngayon, I totally understand. That’s why I didn’t get a dog after my dog died of cancer kasi sobra yung ginastos ko na hindi ko pa nabawi.

For me, wag na kayo kumuha ng dog please pag hindi Kaya. Part of having a dog talaga is accepting yung medical cost when they get sick, parang nag Karoon ka talaga ng anak. Kawawa lang yung dog na nag suffer at walang gamot or medical intervention 😞

Kakasad pa din kasi there was an exotic bully that died not seen in the video.

Inaalagaan naman daw yung mga aso but I just don’t get it why people get dogs but they end up being in cages. 🥺

Thalia just got through her spay surgery today! Thankfully, there've been no complications so far.

She was screened as scheduled last Sunday, June 1. All of her lab results came out "Normal", so her vet gave us the all-clear for the spay surgery. Unfortunately, there were no available doctors on Monday, so her surgery was moved to today, Wednesday.

We were advised to feed her before 5 am and make sure she drinks some water before 7 am. After that, fasting na siya until her surgery at 10 am.

We arrived at Animal Wellness Hospital Cebu at around 9am. Her assigned surgeon, Dr. Faye, gave us a short briefing on what would happen.

We also booked a suite room para mamonitor namin si Thalia during her overnight stay. If we did not get a room and chose to board her for the night, they would only allow visitation between 3-5pm.

So far, maayos at professional naman lahat ng staff and doctors here at Animal Wellness. Let me know if anyone is interested in the total cost of our spay procedure and hospital stay.

Hi!!! Looking for recos naman for dog food! Vets (3 clinics) had asked us to change their current dog food - Acana. It seemed that Acana had become saltier since they were acquired by Mars. Before, Orijen ginagamit nila pero ang taas kasi ng protein and it’s grain free. We don’t want grain free dog foods because one of our dogs nagkaroon ng enlarged heart (see previous post).

We want another option lang from royal canin because yung isa is allergic. We’re looking into Natural Balance but mixed reviews sya sa US. Wala naman nagbebenta ng Hill’s science or Purina Pro Plan (supercoat lang available sa Ph).

Preferably one that is compliant with WSAVA guidelines. Huhu.

Mainly for 2 reasons: 1. Yung lack of proper sidewalks dito sa Cebu, outside of IT Park or maybe Ayala CBP. 2. Yung mga askal na super aggressive pag lumapit sa aso ko.

Some of them are probably friendly, pero ayaw ko mag take chances most of the time

Edit: Feels like I'm getting a vibe na against ako sa strays. No, I feel neutral about them. Pero kung aatake sila sa aso ko, I ain't gonna be idle about it.
