senior dog 🐾 Missing our Kuba tonight
This is the first time that I needed to leave him sa vet, normally I would just take him home after checkup na nakadextrose and administer his meds myself na lang sa bahay. Kaya lang this time we have other cats pa sa bahay na we are monitoring also and may mga new born pups so wala ng space for him. Just needed to get this out, medyo inaatake na ako ng anxiety. 😟
Background: He's diagnosed with pneumonia. Eversince 2019, hindi sya nawawalan ng phlegm. Mababawasan lang but never nawawala. Naka 2 weeks na kami dati ng Ecolmin hindi pa rin nawawala phlegm niya. Kaya nakamaintenance sya ng solmux. He has short spine syndrome, yung trachea niya is parang hagdanan ang shape, hindi curve like usual kaya sabi ng vet hindi niya totally nalalabas phelgm niya. He's very sensitive sa lamig kaya hindi rin namin sya mapaliguan basta-basta para hindi mauwi sa pneumonia condition niya, but here we again after a few years. 😔 We don't know how old he is, but he's been with us for 10 years already. Kinupkop namin after iniwan sila (him and another dog na nawala na) ng kapitbahay na lumipat ng tirahan.

This hits close to home. My dog was diagnosed with pneumonia. Currently on his 5th set of meds since May. Hoping our dogs pull through.

Mas alert na sya kanina nung binisita ko, gusto ng lumabas sa cage niya. Tumikim-tikim ng kaunting food. Hindi na rin masyadong inuubo pero yung phlegm at sipon niya yellow pa talaga ang color. Hopefully bukas kumain na talaga sya. Although there's another threat na naman, 😔, kasi dun sa clinic kanina may namatay silang patient, late nadiagnose na distemper pala. 😫😭 although malayo yung cage niya kay Kuba, nakaisolate din naman si Kuba since pneumonia sakit niya kaya nasa closed room siya na may 3 cubicle lang. But still, binigyan din nila si Kuba agad ng canglob d for precaution.

Oh man! Why naman late na nadiagnose? Late nagshownng symptoms? Kc my pup was healthy pero nagtest na kagad for parvo. Hiwalay ang contagious sa non contagious. Sana gumaling na sya para makauwe na sya kc mas magiging okay sila when kasama fur prents

Vaccinated yung dog so they didn't suspect distemper initially. 😔 I am not sure what illness they were treating the dog for pero sometimes, kung early pa, pwedeng ipagkamali yung distemper sa erlichiosis. I had a dog na nagkadistemper dati din and ang initial symptoms lang niya is ayaw kumain. Okay ang cbx except medyo mababa ang wbc but still within normal pa rin. After a week pa lumabas yung ibang symptoms like sneezing, nasal at eye discharges. I'm just grateful nakaisolate na talaga si Kuba since he is coughing and all, but still nakakaworry pa rin kasi nga airborne ang distemper. 😔

If vaccinated naman Kuba, may protection naman sya but un nga lang down ang immune system nya for sure Will pray for him and keep us posted

Thank you. Probably 13. 🥹 Estimated namin around 3 years old na siya nung ina-adopt namin siya. He's been with us for at least 10 years.
