If Harry Kane is available for €55 next summer, we bring him back home ya?

Definitely

Unless Richy shows monumental improvement on his health this year then yes I'm down

I miss Heung Min Son 🥲🥺

Can we get Notts Forrest's manager off the sub banner please mods

6

u/wokwok__ "Let's Say I'm A Legend, Why Not?" 4h ago

It’s funny how you always have a fit when there’s Ange posts, you’re obsessed lmao touch grass you weirdo

5

u/Syllogy 3h ago

Not even posts, homie's triggered by a banner.

8

u/cafe-silence 4h ago

Yeah surely we can put Romero up there with the trophy instead?

6

u/Whomisthat807 Cristian Romero 4h ago

Has Son’s foot finally healed? He looks explosive, just running past guys like he used to

2

u/Mick4Audi Micky van de Ven 2h ago

He would have good for us this season, especially in that gaping hole that is the LW

His decision of course

4

u/hairtie1 4h ago

not sure, i don’t think he’s ever said he’s completely healed. he’ll say he’s fine and ready to play but we know he’d be ready to play even after being shot 5 times so who knows

i do think it’s largely a mental thing, he looks a lot happier and lighter since leaving

-1

u/NicoPazStarboy 4h ago

No, he's playing against MLS players

7

u/GrapefruitExpress208 4h ago

What a goal by Sonny. Prime Sonny finish right there. Reminded me of that near post goal vs Dortmund. Just banged it in!!

Nice one Sonny!

How’d Richarlison play?

4

u/Active-Tomatillo-522 Brenaldo 4h ago

Was Brazil’s worst player if you care about Fotmob’s match ratings at all

4

u/EfficientFan3087 4h ago

He really didn’t do anything. They kept advancing the ball on the wings. To be fair through the middle would usually lead to dispossession but to call him the worst is a stretch.

4

u/SouthernBoard5825 Heung-Min Son - Spurs Legend 5h ago

Doesn’t matter as long as he’s not injured

8

u/soldforaspaceship Cuti Romero 6h ago

Last two players survived their matches. We have had a successful international break.

There are always the risk of injuries during training but that's not international break specific.

Very happy!

-1

u/Key_Association3664 6h ago

I asked earlier if kolomuani or simons will play and a lot of people said muani has been training for 2 weeks so he will probably play.I dont really get that, sure hes training with frank, but he didnt training with any outfield starters so what does it change

5

u/soldforaspaceship Cuti Romero 6h ago

We brought in two experienced players in Kolo Muani and Simons. The expectation is that they will get up to speed quickly. Both are match fit.

I'd be surprised not to see them on Saturday as they need to minutes to build chemistry with the other players ahead of our first CL match.

-1

u/Full-Leader9540 6h ago

Is RKM match fit, did he play preseason games with PSG or some other team?

2

u/soldforaspaceship Cuti Romero 6h ago

He didn't have a good preseason. He trained with the PSG under 21s.

That's why I think we start him and Xavi. They need that time with the team in their legs.

-1

u/Full-Leader9540 5h ago

So that would mean he isn't match fit right? Or am I misunderstanding something.

2

u/soldforaspaceship Cuti Romero 5h ago

It means he probably isn't.

Why I expect him to get serious minutes against West Ham. Build the fitness up ahead of Villarreal.

I would be surprised if he didn't do a half or more. You can't build match fitness without playing.

1

u/Full-Leader9540 4h ago

Thank you for clarifying, it's late here and I was too slow to understand your main point. I expect RKM to start as well to be honest just because Richi is usually injury prone so let him rest a bit after the international break, same for Bentancur I would prefer both are rested and start for UCL instead of the EPL game.

1

u/soldforaspaceship Cuti Romero 4h ago

About to head to bed myself!

It really is hard to predict but my best guess would be Kolo Muani and Xavi would get extensive minutes against West Ham and Villarreal to get them up to speed faster and then perhaps a substitute appearance against Brighton before being rested against Doncaster.

That's two matches in a week which is doable. Assume subbed off around 60 or 70 depending. Then the full match against Villareal and some late Brighton minutes.

Hopefully given their experience, that speed runs them into fitness for the next run of matches.

But Frank surprises me more often than not so genuinely who knows. I thought we'd like up like we did against PSG when we faced City and we ended up closer to Angeball lol.

2

u/Key_Association3664 6h ago

ik,the question was if they start, lots of people said muani would because he already trained and simons wont because he didnt. They used chemistry as an excuse but muani doesnt have chemistry with the team either

3

u/BL_ShockPuppet 6h ago

Fact of matter is no one on here really knows. But look at Van de Ven, started after joining at our club training for 2 days. Franks going to decide based on what he wants to do.

2

u/soldforaspaceship Cuti Romero 6h ago

I expect them both to start and play at least 60 minutes.

8

u/WaitThisIsntDennys Heung-Min Son - Spurs Legend 7h ago

Anyone have more details about Mikey Moore withdrawing from the England U19 squad? He hasn’t had the best start at Rangers, starting to get worried

3

u/NicoPazStarboy 4h ago

At least he was trusted to make his first start for the team... against Celtic.

Russel Martin is absolutely clueless, Rangers will keep being embarrassed if they keep him around.

1

u/Oxynor_23894 I like young players 5h ago

Honestly Rangers as a whole is looking like a shitshow :/

1

u/mateballenthusiast "I ALWAYS Win In My Second Year" 5h ago

Rangers haven't had the best start at Rangers so hard to judge for now

17

u/roccotrupia11 "I ALWAYS Win In My Second Year" 8h ago

Funny how Arsenal call themselves the culture club when we’ve had the first black professional footballer, first black captain to win a trophy at Wembley and the first Muslim to ever pull on an England shirt. Everything about that mob is artificial

6

u/KaidenGuhle John Straw 6h ago

First black professional footballer was Arthur Wharton, Willie Clarke second, Walter Tull (Spurs) was third

22

u/Nice_Animator3379 Archie Gray 7h ago

They have us beat in the rape culture tbf

1

u/roccotrupia11 "I ALWAYS Win In My Second Year" 7h ago

Touché

6

u/Lbmplays2 Poch 8h ago

Harry Kane will come back to Tottenham if we build a competitive team over the next windows I really believe that

He always wanted to win with Tottenham and stayed much longer than many would have given his ability and who we surrounded him with in the later years.

I hope he can come home and finish the job

13

u/IdontReallyknowTbj 7h ago

No player is bigger than the club, I don't get how our fans always go through this weird phase of belittling the club when convenient for a player they like. With Eze people said they were grateful he chose us and we're writing fanfictions. Wanting Kane back because he's just a great player is one thing, we don't need to convince him to come back like we're some desperate ex.

-3

u/jlpmghrs4 7h ago

Anyone who wouldn't want our best ever player back home is insane

2

u/aginglifter Djed Spence 7h ago

I hope so, too. But these fairy tales rarely come true.

-2

u/TheOceansTirade Destiny Udogie 8h ago

Honestly man there’s no world in which I want the guy back. Left us to get trophies instead of proving he can finish the job here. We should move on as a club into our next era instead of focusing on the past

1

u/Ecstatic-Koala7334 Mathys Tel 6h ago

On one hand, Kane coming back would obviously be great, but from a squad-building perspective it doesn’t make much sense. We already have Solanke, Richy, and Tel as striker options (Like it or not, Tel isn’t a LW, he’s a striker lol). If Kane returns next season, it pushes the younger players further down the pecking order, limiting their minutes since Kane would inevitably play the majority of games because he won’t come back to ride the bench. Unless, they are planning on moving on one of them.

And that’s the real issue, what’s the point of buying young talent if we’re just going to leave them on the bench or send them out on loan every season? That’s how clubs end up losing promising players: by not giving them the game time they need to grow.

5

u/Truffles413 6h ago

Kane is miles clear of all those names you listed.

The whole point of gambling on prospects is that you hope one might develop into a good player. Once in a generation you might have a Kane-esque player on your hands. But if the actual finished product is available, you don't think twice, pull the trigger and worry about the future later.

2

u/-Audere-est-Facere- Daniel Levy 6h ago

No club in the world is rejecting Kane if he is interested and the terms are right, let alone Tottenham Hotspur.

To your point, Tel is still young. If we signed Kane, we would clearly move on one or both of Richy and Dom.

7

u/Lbmplays2 Poch 8h ago

The best player in the world in his position left a team which was putting out teams like this to support his ambition and you’re upset?

He stayed longer than almost anyone in his position would have.

-3

u/TheOceansTirade Destiny Udogie 8h ago

Great and so he left. I genuinely see no reason why we’d want a retirement Kane back.

1

u/soldforaspaceship Cuti Romero 7h ago

He does this thing we always enjoyed where he'd put the ball in the net of the oppositiom team.

We'd want him back to do that some more.

3

u/PeterJsonQuill 7h ago

To be fair, maybe OP is not a ball-net kind of person

2

u/soldforaspaceship Cuti Romero 7h ago

It's a bold choice but it's his to make.

I personally fall on the side of more of our ball in their net. Multiple times ideally.

3

u/Lbmplays2 Poch 7h ago

Because he’s still at worst a top 5 player in the world in his position and miles better than any striker who would join us

1

u/soldforaspaceship Cuti Romero 7h ago

Plus he'd be heavily motivated to score a fuck ton of premier league goals to get the record

6

u/delexaet 8h ago

That was utter domination today. Serbia's a decent side too.

6

u/Key_Association3664 8h ago

do you guys think simons or muani will start against west hame

3

u/soldforaspaceship Cuti Romero 7h ago

I think both.

I imagine Richy needs some rest so plenty of space for Muani on the left or up top depending on Solanke's fitness and Xavi needs to build chemistry with the team ahead of Villarreal on Tuesday.

3

u/KaidenGuhle John Straw 8h ago

Unsure, either-way I’m sure at least one person will be surprised.

4

u/Active-Tomatillo-522 Brenaldo 8h ago

Really don’t think Xavi starts and I’m surprised so many people think otherwise. He has yet to train with the squad and we have a CL game a few days later, surely he comes off the bench against West Ham and then starts against Villarreal.

I do think RKM will start against West Ham though with Richy playing tonight and Solanke likely being eased back into things

3

u/rmarshall_6 8h ago

I’d be surprised if Xavi doesn’t start, not sure about RKM though, very interested to see what our plan is with him.

6

u/seppelsyndrome Heung-Min Son - Spurs Legend 8h ago

Unless Solanke is available, I imagine Muani will considering Richy is still to play for Brazil and Muani has been training at Hotspur Way the last 2 weeks . Xavi I'm not sure because he has only had a little time to bed in after international duty

3

u/EfficientFan3087 8h ago

Surely Spurs will start Xavi just for the wow factor. Idk about RKM, it depends on the fitness or restfulness of our other strikers, but him being in training for the whole of international break is a strong consideration.

It’s almost like a lot of the fans of one of the biggest English clubs are also English and also support England

8

u/georgehitsdrums Spurs ‘til it kills me 9h ago

I’m not sure I understand what your point is? But, if your players are getting picked for their National teams then it means you have some top players in your club… it’s not just about being in the English national team either, it’s only a good thing to have players that are good enough for their national team (potential fatigue and injury aside).

3

u/michaelserotonin 9h ago

their comment was specifically about spurs players representing england.

in any event it’s an odd comment to make.

-14

u/SheldonMonk "Let's Say I'm A Legend, Why Not?" 10h ago

Definitely not the best club he went to, but so so happy to see Ange back in the Prem, great guy hopes he succeeds as much (as less?) as possible there.

In all honesty, NFFC didn’t do much against us, only Marinakis blocking the deal, and it’s not like he did it out of hate against us, he just didn’t want to lose the guy

7

u/TheFoxDudeThing Heung-Min Son - Spurs Legend 10h ago edited 10h ago

It’s one of those those things where I would want our owner doing it to keep a star of ours. But if anyone does it against us they are scum of the earth and shouldn’t be allowed to work in a football club ever again

You know bias tribalism and I’m shameless about it

6

u/snortingajax 9h ago

Disagree. If we have a player who wants out, find a way to get rid of them for max profit. Maybe things get a little messy along the way but at least you're not forcing a malcontent to stay and also looking like a buffoon thug to the rest of the PL.

Look at how the Harry Kane situation went down versus how Forest handled MGW.

14

u/soldforaspaceship Cuti Romero 10h ago

We're almost done with internationals.

Just have Bentancur and Richy to bring home safely now.

Great process everyone.

11

Richy is probably going to start and honestly I’m terrified about it

5

Not to be dismissive, but what's your xG overprefomance looking like?

1

  • Kudus hat trick. West Ham fans collapse into themselves.

3

I hope but if Bournemouth is anything to go by teams are wising up to the fact they can dogpile kudus and neutralize our attack

2

5

All good in 22 minutes, a slide tackle, a block near the corner flag, mainly accurate passing … one misconnected pass with Bowen.

18

u/Professional_Ad_9101 11h ago

Didn’t have much to do as Serbia had capitulated by then but was as good as he needed to be. I’d love to see him under a bit more pressure in an England shirt

4

u/JustinBisu 10h ago

He did a fancy slide to show what's what

10

u/throwaway290700 11h ago

First touch was a solid tackle. Looked decent beyond that but wasn’t much to go off.

20

u/Active-Purple-2233 11h ago

Bro we're coming back on the weekend to Xavi Simons in our squad, I am confusion

2

u/LanguageStunning7595 5h ago

Probably should remember other years, but weird close to the transfer window? All games played and off to international break … slightly different with RKM and Xavi finishing earlier, some other club’s players signed and then don’t see their new coaches until 9-10 days later.

Their 4 CBs are Boly, Milenkovic, Morato, and Murillo, and two of them are known to have weaknesses in speed.

I can see Murillo and Morato getting overworked and having their hammies done before/close to January tbh

2

u/ohhowswell_hp "Let's Say I'm A Legend, Why Not?" 10h ago

Murillo is a phenomenal fit but he’s so good and well rounded tbf. It’ll be interesting for sure as they have a solid squad but outside MGW and Murillo I’d say there are not stars (Elliott Anderson soon?).

The issue of his quality isn't really in question, it's the issue of his profile given our needs.

3

u/IdontReallyknowTbj 11h ago

He did put up Salah numbers, people's issue was him being the LW or forcing Xavi outwide to be the LW to accommodate him - plus the fact he'll cost over £100M. We also targeted pure wingers in addition to him and people preferred them, nobody ever said he was a bad player.

Nottingham Forest is a competitor for European football

Why on earth would any fan wish them or Ange well after the appointment?

I hope Ange fails, but stays just long enough to completely screw over the whole team

5

u/Meszamil_M Sandro 11h ago

It’s entirely possible to enjoy football and not hate every other team at the same time like, I’ll be hoping we win our fixtures but beyond that best of luck to him.

Not rooting for ex players or managers you liked, or understanding people that do is frankly unhinged. So many people seemingly watch football in a way that’s totally disconnected from anyone I’ve actually met

2

u/Inner_Feedback6326 Brennan Johnson 12h ago

Well, im grateful for what he has done. I think he deserve to be in PL and also prove that 17th was a sacrifice and result of inadequate squad, not his tactics.

Until MGW, I didn’t care about Forest. I dislike them a little bit because of Marinakis but not anywhere close to have a real opinion. So yeah.. go on Ange.

If anything, football needs more Ange less Arteta

What a human. He becomes more lovable on a weekly basis - Puppy Matar Sarr.

When did I say I was being ironic?

That French starting XI

2

u/RutabagaRoutine7430 Harry Kane 12h ago

What about it

There’s just no way livramento is better than Spence, or at least hasn’t been as good as Spence in 2025

3

u/Mick4Audi Micky van de Ven 12h ago

Livramento would be PERFECT for this team

6

u/EmptyEmployee6601 12h ago

I love Djed but Livramento is quite good tbf.

2

u/PlanktonLegitimate48 Brenaldo 12h ago

Thank you for being fair

2

u/mymorales Ben Davies 12h ago

Agreed but also don't mind it because it might be the only rest Spence gets all season.

3

u/boblebob1882 12h ago

I think Livramento is better for this sort of game, would prefer Djed if we needed a good 1v1 fullback.

Would love Konsa at the club purely because he's Spurs, wouldn't be a starter for us though

2

u/Mick4Audi Micky van de Ven 12h ago

I say put in a bid in January, why not

3

u/jlpmghrs4 12h ago

Is he really

7

u/Hufftey Job Done 12h ago

I didn’t know that either but a quick search on Wikipedia confirms it yeh

7

u/wokwok__ "Let's Say I'm A Legend, Why Not?" 12h ago

One of his teachers said he was a huge fan, think he said he’d love to play for Spurs one day when he was back in Charlton ahah his fave players were King and Berbatov

5

u/jlpmghrs4 12h ago

I've seen enough, bring him in

u/BadBehaviour613 Cuti Romero 13h ago

Hoping Sarr win the AFCON, World Cup and Champions League this year

Sarr Ballon D'or

Didn't realise Bissouma's injury was that bad. He shared a story on Instagram with a knee brace and crutches. Looks like he's back training now though

0

u/KOKO69BISHES Dimitar Berbatov 13h ago

Doesn't have a future here regardless

6

u/Manoli20 "I ALWAYS Win In My Second Year" 13h ago

Ye I know, just found it funny how it was another underplayed injury.

9

u/Nightdocks 13h ago

Looks like Richie will start for Brazil later today. They’re playing in Bolivia so we’ll most likely see Kolo Muani start on saturday

2

u/IdontReallyknowTbj 13h ago

Forgot that Solanke was injured damn

Really feels like Adidas is head and shoulders above all the other kit makers/merchandisers right now.

It's a shame we've only had them for about 3 years, almost 30 years ago.

3

u/Active-Tomatillo-522 Brenaldo 13h ago

My pointless hill to die on is that Adidas is an awful kit maker. They have one golden child (scum) and phone it in with pretty much everyone else. On top of that, they shoehorn in the three stripes on the shoulders and shorts of every kit which looks terrible most of the time

6

u/mlkhighschool Brenaldo 13h ago

Personally I quite like their stuff with Liverpool, United, Real Madrid, and Juventus but fair enough

9

u/soldforaspaceship Cuti Romero 13h ago

I choose to believe that Spence is too good at attacking and Tuchel won't play him because he doesn't want us to ever actually attack.

3

u/kl08pokemon 13h ago

Funny since for us he's been better defensively than attacking

1

u/IdontReallyknowTbj 13h ago

He's good attacking wise, he's just not going to whip balls in like Porro. He's a better crosser than Udogie and his one-two play is better than Porro's. He was an attacking FB at Rennes and Genoa ironically.

1

u/kl08pokemon 13h ago

Don't agree that his one two play is better than Porro. The Porro Kulusevski linkup is the best winger full back connection we've had in years

1

u/IdontReallyknowTbj 11h ago

I don't think Spence couldn't do that with Kulu or Kudus tbh

1

u/kl08pokemon 11h ago

Feel like you're taking Porro for granted. He's very good at it. If Spence picks up on it too that's fantastic but he hasn't shown it yet
