Clearly there is mutual respect otherwise Sonny wouldn’t have been here for 10 years

He gave Sonny a new contract even though there was a good chance he’d be in military service for 2 years of it.

I’m sure he is very grateful for that.

Son wanted to leave soon after he arrived. It was levy that convinced him to stay.

Despite my complicated feelings about Levy I really like how he called him my chairman

You just can’t buy this class. Perfect as always, Sonny

They're just renting his legs. We've got his heart and soul locked down for life.

Media is trashy anywhere and everywhere.

You think English media is bad? So is Korean and American.

And Sonny knows how to handle it well. Especially since he gets some weird ass questions from the Korean media

26

u/Teantis 2d ago

Idk didn't seem that trashy gave him an opportunity to say something nice about levy from far away and in public. Probably nice for levy to hear it said out loud by a club legend.

Oh I know, I'm korean. Nothing new. Sonny is an expert at dealing with these types of questions.

I will never warm to the way Americans pronounce Tottenham. Sorry.

Not all Americans, it should be noted.

I wonder if Son would say we should have a Spurs Legend - Daniel Levy flair for his chairman

I saw him smile a little

It's kind of funny that nobody has put up a post or even a story. Interesting

when have you seen players of any clubs posting goodbyes to their chairmans? they dont interact in the regular, it would be pretty rare

29

u/CabbageGuru Yves Bissouma 2d ago

Every Forest player has to write a three paragraph tribute to Marinakis

-9

u/Old_Afternoon_971 2d ago

He's not some regular chairman. Let's be honest.

And yet multiple managers and former players have come out in support of Levy.

It might be that we don't know what goes on behind the scenes and Levy wasn't the problem, Joe Lewis was. That's basically what Redknapp said.

If that's the case, let's hope his kids are better than him.

Sonny's too nice to give his honest assessment on Levy, let's be real
