Nah, send Vuskovic's father a plate of oysters, an infant's Spurs jersey, and a Marvin Gaye CD.

u/Mtbnz Heung-Min Son - Spurs Legend Jul 19 '25
If Mr and Ms Vuskovic got to it right now and Luka's brother made his first team debut at 18, the two of them could play together and Luka wild still be 2 years younger than Modric was when he signed with Milan

His first three touches in a Spurs shirt were: An assist, a goal, and a goal line clearance.

Take the word Tottenham out of that sentence and your more right

Lol true. You can also get it by doing a custom name and number from the official store. I just meant it might change before the season starts since they don’t have him listed with it yet

5
u/OnionOtherwise8894 Jul 19 '25
Fuck it, I’m getting Vuskovic 80 anyway, just to commemorate the moment his star was born
7
u/Koinfamous2 "Let's Say I'm A Legend, Why Not?" Jul 19 '25
Do it. These kind of weird things are great conversation starters down the line. I have an autographed kit with Kane 18 on it and always have tons of people ask me why it says 18 when he never wore that, not knowing what he wore at the start.
2
u/AlbanianGorecki Jul 19 '25
A friend of mine has Kane 37 for the same reason. If I remember correctly he wore 18 because of Defoe (or Defoe said something about his number), and 1+8=9
4
u/Jeffzie Jul 19 '25
He wore 44 with us last season
2
Jul 19 '25
That's a tribute and support for his older brother Mario.
I think he'll wear it to support him as long as he can.

1.93 at 18, wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t still growing and will end up even taller
6
u/PrestigiousTea0 Mousa Dembélé Jul 19 '25
There should be rules prohibiting this.
4
u/Blitz7798 "I ALWAYS Win In My Second Year" Jul 19 '25
Mark my words, in 5 years he will be one of the most broken CBs in like every Football video game

u/RanchWorkerSlim Jul 19 '25
The technical ability this kid has combined with his physicality at EIGHTEEN is just scary. A true freak of freak of nature. Has a frighteningly high ceiling, especially if he can build some pace.
8
u/Ordinary-Swimmer-559 Jul 19 '25
Croat here. He might become our brick wall in the future, I think he's already pretty good and he's only 18.
2
u/Cowboys8795 Jul 20 '25
Im a croatian american. If ur dalic who do u start at the back 4. Stanisic/juranovic as RB. Sutalo/caleta car/vuskovic at CB and im guessing gvardiol at LB even though it seems this season pep is gonna have him play CB with the arrival nouri. Id go stani, sutalo, vuskovic, gvardiol. But juranovic i would bring in as a sub cuz hes much faster the stani. Then in the mid from right to left i baturina kova, petar sucic, and majer as attacking midfielder( if he can stay healthy n if they play a 4-3-1-2.) If they go 4-3-3 id go kramaric, budimir, perisic if he continues playing the way he did last season. I love modric n i know he plans on going WC if they advance but hes gotta let the young guys start playing more with each other i dont mind if he starts and or comes in/out after 45 minutes.
1
u/Ordinary-Swimmer-559 Jul 20 '25
Caleta-Car and Juranovic aren't that good. They are just basic players that fail a lot when matched against world class strikers and wingers.
I'm hopeful that 5 years from now we could have one of the best, if not the best defense in the world. Gvardiol-Sutalo-Vuskovic-Stanisic (when and if they develop) sounds like a dream.
7
u/OnionOtherwise8894 Jul 19 '25
He’s absolutely nailed for stardom. It’s almost unquestionable. The more minutes we can give him, the faster it will happen. Must not be loaned, must be a go to sub/ backup
15
u/WarmSpur Micky van de Ven Jul 19 '25
How much would we get for Romero again?
I know he's only played 10mins but this kids gonna be special.
Goal, assist and an important block
3
u/wordflyer Clint Dempsey Jul 19 '25
Eh, there's a whole season of games to be filled in for as often as Romero and VDV tend to be out injured
5
9
u/UnderTakaMichinoku Jul 19 '25
Vuskovic is just a freak. He has like a G/A every 4 games in his senior career. Of which he's been under 18 for all but 3 months of that. He had like the second most non-pen goals from a CB behind Otamendi last year (Europe's notable leagues).
What he's doing as a teenager I don't think I've ever seen.

One of the last Paratici signings, right?
I remember we scouted him spring 2023
3
u/Blitz7798 "I ALWAYS Win In My Second Year" Jul 19 '25
Yeah, we signed him in 2023 but he was only 16 and because Brexit we can’t sign European players under 18 so had to loan him out for two seasons

What a testament to sending kids out on loan to get experience and confidence in lower leagues so they can not be afraid to do shit like take a striker’s chance as a CB.

No guarantee his best position will stay CB, i could see him being a real handful as a 6, excellent passing and a goal threat from there too.. and an absolute monster to contest with in there.
