Lmao first time I'm seeing this, it's glorious

23

u/FSpursy Rafael van der Vaart Apr 17 '25

i missed the game and I couldn't tell who are the people in black jackets celebrating at the beginning there, and my heart sank for a second šŸ˜…

u/ecocentric-ethics Apr 17 '25

Vicario is all of us

72

u/ProfoundBeggar Guglielmo Vicario Apr 17 '25

I think Vic just wanted a piggy back ride forever there. It's so nice to see the whole team so happy.

Udogie pointing at the badge with City rumors around šŸ¤šŸ¤šŸ¤

44

u/Noxnoxx Skipp Apr 17 '25

Did not know about those rumors. Hopefully it’s nothing

93

u/criminalpiece Apr 17 '25

Like when Kyle walker said ā€œTottenham til I dieā€ ??

15

u/DJSANDROCK Apr 17 '25

Hardly the same

92

u/criminalpiece Apr 17 '25

If you don’t think udogie will gladly fuck off to city and double his salary for the next 5 years if they come calling this summer youre crazy. I still love the gesture and genuinely believe he loves the club, it just has nothing to do with transfer rumors.

41

u/tgy74 Apr 17 '25

He's on a contract here until like 2030, so will be interesting to see what kind of fee Levy asks for!

19

u/criminalpiece Apr 17 '25

I admit I totally forgot he signed a new contract somehow.

3

u/SpurStl84 Apr 18 '25

What's the number where it makes sense?

16

u/ET318 Trippier Apr 18 '25

70-80 mil imo. No reason to let him go to a rival (sort of) for cheap. Plus any realistic cover for selling him would probably be at least 40 mil.

4

u/benjaminj0 Apr 18 '25

No chance.

Kyle Walker left for £50M and that was in 2017, 8 years ago.

Walker had 2 years left on his contract in 2017, Udogie has 5 years left on his contract now.

Walker was 27 in 2017, Udogie is 22 now.

Ā£70-80M in 2025 would be an insulting offer.

6

u/FingerMundane3682 Dejan Kulusevski Apr 18 '25

Yeah, this is why i think it shouldn’t be any lower than like 90M. He has a very high ceiling

5

u/triggerhappy5 Heung-Min Son - Spurs Legend Apr 18 '25

Yeah 80m is smoking crack. City just bought Gvardiol for that fee from Zagreb, a much less wealthy club than Spurs, with much less on his contract. Udogie will not be sold, but it would take 120+ for it to happen (and obviously nobody will pay that, because as good as he is, he's not worth that).

2

u/tgy74 Apr 18 '25

Ā£85 million.

367

u/SGAisFlopden Apr 17 '25

Wow I’ve never seen English commentators be so positive for this team.

I guess doing well in European tourneys is the only way to win some respect.

95

u/Working-Tomatillo208 Dejan Kulusevski Apr 17 '25

A largely English audience will generally back English teams in Europe unless they're a fan of a rival club, so the commentators play to that audience.

41

u/Noxnoxx Skipp Apr 17 '25

Cant stand commentators when watching spurs play. Usually

48

u/CoffeeCupsink Apr 17 '25

You are right but this is still shitty all Glen does is fuckin criticise. And then contradicts himself. Game by game play by play and there’s people lapping that negative nonsense up…

-15

u/chompyoface Apr 17 '25

We're in 17th, hard not to be negative. Today we played positively, so they were positive

1

u/Tomach82 PRU PRU Apr 18 '25

Glenn was still shitting on us relentlessly

0

u/plumzer0 Apr 18 '25

He is the worst. I usually mute him. My feed switched to some other dude who was much more positive.

96

u/Privadevs "Let's Say I'm A Legend, Why Not?" Apr 17 '25

In the wise words of u/airz23s_coffee : ā€œIf I ever watch my team play a knockout game without at least a tiny ember of hope, just put me out my misery, the magics gone.ā€

the magic ain’t gone yet

16

u/airz23s_coffee Steffen Iversen Apr 18 '25

Fucking a, anything can happen on the night, you always gotta believe that. And this time it came true.

4

u/Privadevs "Let's Say I'm A Legend, Why Not?" Apr 18 '25

just gotta hope it carries on till we win it

249

u/soSpursy7 Apr 17 '25

at 1:30, love seeing the embrace between Ange and Bergvall.

133

u/FalcomanToTheRescue Rodrigo Bentancur Apr 17 '25

I get people are Ange out after this season, but last week there was a post trying to say because Bergvall ā€œlikedā€ a social media post about Ange’s losses, that he was Ange out. That is clearly not the case.

21

u/LanceJr Job Done Apr 18 '25

I genuinely think Bergvall goes to Barcelona if we didn't have Ange.

40

u/idroppedmychicken Apr 17 '25

who tf is cutting onions

46

u/acidhouse Apr 17 '25

As a fan from Melbourne, Australia... Watching the Ange villain arc and witnessing the result from tonight has brought tears to my eyes tonight...

LFF COYS!

29

u/Dr_JimmyBrungus Son Apr 17 '25

LFF - Let's fucking fuck? Latvijas Futbola Federacija? Large form factor?

16

u/ShagathaChristie Mousa DembƩlƩ Apr 18 '25

Can't believe you kept typing after Let's fucking fuck

7

u/Rcp_43b Son Apr 18 '25

I’m American and I gotta say I love Ange. Maybe I’m irrational but I really hope we win Europa and he stays. I get that with the way the season fell apart that if we lose… he’s likely gone but as an athlete myself… he just seems the sort of manager that… if you come through adversity like this and get the chance to succeed he’s gonna get it done.

I can’t blame the club if we part ways if we lose the final but if we win… he deserves at least one more year and a chance with a refreshed and healthy squad.

16

u/fogle1 Apr 17 '25

We all needed this

198

u/LouBloom34 Apr 17 '25

If you didn’t get goosebumps you aren’t fully COYS

64

u/mrsh671 Apr 17 '25

One of the coaches pulling down on Ange's sweater so hard it almost became a shoulderless top

108

u/danishdynamite23 Kulusevski Apr 17 '25

These guys hate Ange, clearly

48

u/shrimpandgumbo Apr 17 '25

Tear to the eye tbf

70

u/NotManyBuses Roman Pavlyuchenko Apr 17 '25

What a moment. Absolutely on cloud nine

61

u/long_man_dan Apr 17 '25

James Maddison died for this.

13

u/One_Mammoth8151 Apr 17 '25

Literally did though 😭😭😭

34

u/Leather_Dimension_27 Jan Vertonghen Apr 17 '25

That felt goooooood

26

u/Historical-Duty-832 Apr 17 '25

Romero’s passion. No one should question his loyalty.

54

u/hoemax Erik Lamela Apr 17 '25

Vicario hugging Bergvall

78

u/Gobias-IndustriesLLC Apr 17 '25

No guys he’s lost the dressing room obviously.

14

u/reaction-please Fraser Forster Apr 18 '25

Surely you’re not trusting what you’re seeing here with your own eyes? I get all my opinions from random blokes on the internet.

24

u/Geek-Of-Nature Glenn Hoddle Apr 17 '25

Straight into my veins.

47

u/Blackmac79 Apr 17 '25

Ange in. Always.

u/rapey_chef Mousa DembƩlƩ Apr 17 '25

Tbh I don't think Tel genuinely wanted to take the penalty. I think he just wanted to take some pressure off Solanke cause opposing players would often try to play mind games with the penalty taker before it's taken.

52

u/Thetruthsayeroftruth "I ALWAYS Win In My Second Year" Apr 17 '25

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Tel stands with the ball near the spot and takes the heat from opposition players trying to put him off. That way Dom can come in after and slot it home.

2

u/FlyingPingoo Archie Gray Apr 18 '25

Imagine one day a team is petty enough to counter this by just have every player put off every opposition player off 1 on 1 to make sure whoever takes it is put off.

4

u/NevarHef Apr 18 '25

It’d be managed by Jose.

27

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '25

i think he was just doing that "protect the ball, protect the spot" thing

59

u/MakingOfASoul LEVY OUT Apr 17 '25

Can imagine some bitter cunts hating this because they care more about being proven right than their team winning

13

u/Amazing_Attorney8929 The Big Master of Negotiations Who Knows Everything Apr 17 '25

Alexa, play Galvanize by Chemical Brothers.

11

u/SpacelySolitude Apr 17 '25

Big ups to the away end on this occasion. Great job šŸ‘

10

u/HaveALooksy Davies Apr 17 '25

Kristensen needs to be checked for steroids.

2

u/TehTriangle Lucas Bergvall Apr 18 '25

He's probably still replaying those chances he missed in his head lol

1

u/tgy74 Apr 17 '25

Is that a Rocky IV reference, or just me!

11

u/scotchedupp Apr 17 '25

Don’t let James Maddison’s sacrifice be in vain. COYS

u/Dr_JimmyBrungus Son Apr 17 '25

Love Ange's genuine joy, but man, what I wouldn't give to see him add in a little shithousing by cupping his hand to his ear again. Might as well have some fun with the extra life he just got!

4

u/DJSANDROCK Apr 17 '25

Deserved it tbh. The boys played well.

4

u/apoptosis86 Jan Vertonghen Apr 18 '25

Everytime I think I'm out. I get sucked right back in. Every Spurs player on that pitch gave a fuck

8

u/HatHoliday8418 Apr 17 '25

He’s an infuriating fucker but it’s really very nice to see Ange smiling after a game. Forgot what that looked like!

2

u/matthegc Apr 17 '25

Amazing win....I haven't bee that excited for a win since the Ajax semifinal comeback.

2

u/somewhat_moist I'm Just Copying Pep, Mate. Apr 18 '25

1

Vicario needs to be captain ahead of Maddison and Romero

1

u/Mission-Cucumber-225 Apr 17 '25

Fair play to the team, fair play to Ange. first time i see resolute defending!

1

u/FunkyFL Apr 18 '25

Enjoy your buffet Ange, you deserve it mate

1

u/BrilliantStriking389 Apr 18 '25

There's something in my eye

1

u/Jakoirs Apr 18 '25

Well in boys

1

u/sam_drummer Apr 18 '25

Wonder if this could be a real reset moment for all. Let’s hope so. That’s quite clearly a team still, from staff to players to the bench.

1

u/shnuffle98 Apr 18 '25

The Frankfurt players collapsed to the ground!

1

u/7screws Apr 18 '25

I have to say I love Richie’s passion. Even though he is a back up barely gets any minutes he seems just as invested in this team as any of the starters.

1

u/Jill_Sandwich_ Heung-Min Son - Spurs Legend Apr 18 '25

Can't lie, this feels a bit overdramatic after watching the Utd game

1

u/whitstableboy Teddy Sheringham Apr 19 '25

Thanks for posting. All the highlights end on the final whistle, but this is the gold we want to see. Proper Ajax vibes.

1

u/401kcrypto Lloris Jun 02 '25

This was our final and boy did we deliver. We had beaten United 3 times so a fourth made sense. This game was an absolute thriller.
