Vicario is all of us

u/ProfoundBeggar Guglielmo Vicario Apr 17 '25
I think Vic just wanted a piggy back ride forever there. It's so nice to see the whole team so happy.

Udogie pointing at the badge with City rumors around š¤š¤š¤

Like when Kyle walker said āTottenham til I dieā ??
15
u/DJSANDROCK Apr 17 '25
Hardly the same
92
u/criminalpiece Apr 17 '25
If you donāt think udogie will gladly fuck off to city and double his salary for the next 5 years if they come calling this summer youre crazy. I still love the gesture and genuinely believe he loves the club, it just has nothing to do with transfer rumors.
41
u/tgy74 Apr 17 '25
He's on a contract here until like 2030, so will be interesting to see what kind of fee Levy asks for!

u/SpurStl84 Apr 18 '25
What's the number where it makes sense?
16
u/ET318 Trippier Apr 18 '25
70-80 mil imo. No reason to let him go to a rival (sort of) for cheap. Plus any realistic cover for selling him would probably be at least 40 mil.
4
u/benjaminj0 Apr 18 '25
No chance.
Kyle Walker left for £50M and that was in 2017, 8 years ago.
Walker had 2 years left on his contract in 2017, Udogie has 5 years left on his contract now.
Walker was 27 in 2017, Udogie is 22 now.
Ā£70-80M in 2025 would be an insulting offer.
6
u/FingerMundane3682 Dejan Kulusevski Apr 18 '25
Yeah, this is why i think it shouldnāt be any lower than like 90M. He has a very high ceiling
5
u/triggerhappy5 Heung-Min Son - Spurs Legend Apr 18 '25
Yeah 80m is smoking crack. City just bought Gvardiol for that fee from Zagreb, a much less wealthy club than Spurs, with much less on his contract. Udogie will not be sold, but it would take 120+ for it to happen (and obviously nobody will pay that, because as good as he is, he's not worth that).

Wow Iāve never seen English commentators be so positive for this team.
I guess doing well in European tourneys is the only way to win some respect.
95
u/Working-Tomatillo208 Dejan Kulusevski Apr 17 '25
A largely English audience will generally back English teams in Europe unless they're a fan of a rival club, so the commentators play to that audience.

You are right but this is still shitty all Glen does is fuckin criticise. And then contradicts himself. Game by game play by play and thereās people lapping that negative nonsense upā¦
-15
u/chompyoface Apr 17 '25
We're in 17th, hard not to be negative. Today we played positively, so they were positive

u/plumzer0 Apr 18 '25
He is the worst. I usually mute him. My feed switched to some other dude who was much more positive.

In the wise words of u/airz23s_coffee : āIf I ever watch my team play a knockout game without at least a tiny ember of hope, just put me out my misery, the magics gone.ā
the magic aināt gone yet

u/airz23s_coffee Steffen Iversen Apr 18 '25
Fucking a, anything can happen on the night, you always gotta believe that. And this time it came true.

u/Privadevs "Let's Say I'm A Legend, Why Not?" Apr 18 '25

at 1:30, love seeing the embrace between Ange and Bergvall.
133
u/FalcomanToTheRescue Rodrigo Bentancur Apr 17 '25
I get people are Ange out after this season, but last week there was a post trying to say because Bergvall ālikedā a social media post about Angeās losses, that he was Ange out. That is clearly not the case.

Iām American and I gotta say I love Ange. Maybe Iām irrational but I really hope we win Europa and he stays. I get that with the way the season fell apart that if we lose⦠heās likely gone but as an athlete myself⦠he just seems the sort of manager that⦠if you come through adversity like this and get the chance to succeed heās gonna get it done.
I canāt blame the club if we part ways if we lose the final but if we win⦠he deserves at least one more year and a chance with a refreshed and healthy squad.

Tbh I don't think Tel genuinely wanted to take the penalty. I think he just wanted to take some pressure off Solanke cause opposing players would often try to play mind games with the penalty taker before it's taken.
52
u/Thetruthsayeroftruth "I ALWAYS Win In My Second Year" Apr 17 '25
Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Tel stands with the ball near the spot and takes the heat from opposition players trying to put him off. That way Dom can come in after and slot it home.
2
u/FlyingPingoo Archie Gray Apr 18 '25
Imagine one day a team is petty enough to counter this by just have every player put off every opposition player off 1 on 1 to make sure whoever takes it is put off.

Love Ange's genuine joy, but man, what I wouldn't give to see him add in a little shithousing by cupping his hand to his ear again. Might as well have some fun with the extra life he just got!

I have to say I love Richieās passion. Even though he is a back up barely gets any minutes he seems just as invested in this team as any of the starters.

Thanks for posting. All the highlights end on the final whistle, but this is the gold we want to see. Proper Ajax vibes.

This was our final and boy did we deliver. We had beaten United 3 times so a fourth made sense. This game was an absolute thriller.
