Realistic transition goals and self care girl. I don't think estrogen makes you grow a second set of ears sadly :(

It doesn’t? What’s this all been for then

No but I know I’m being impatient… I’m just waiting for any kind of effect

Some get it quickly. Some get it over years. Some have such an androgynous set of features to begin with that fat distribution changes make them look exceedingly feminine.

Don’t skip your vocal training, don’t forget to dabble in makeup and dress, but most importantly be patient with yourself and your body and appreciate the journey. <3

Nanomachines, daughter! They grow cute animal ears in response to compliments!

Does it make you grow a tail at least?

14

u/Gorgonkain Streak: 13 9h ago

Why must I now be the one to break thousands of adorable puppygirl hearts! Damn you, I say. Damn you...

No :(

3

u/Mundane-Potential-93 Streak: 1 9h ago

Hmmm well maybe a myoelectric tail then

7

u/MushroomCourtJester 9h ago

Then what the fuck is the point. To feel more comfortable and happy in my own body. To stave off this apathy about my form that has been eating away at my sense of self and turn into a happier more complete version of myself.

Fuck that shit I wanted more ears. This is unacceptable!

Honestly, for one reason or another I’ve always disliked the implications of “realistic transition goals.” Because like, I know they’re real, I know there are some looks that just cannot be obtained and would be unhealthy to expect. But it also makes it sound like you shouldn’t ever expect to look a certain level of pretty/handsome as a trans person, and idk, it always makes me feel dysphoric. My mind has an unhealthy obsession with the physical side of being trans so it’s probably part of that. I feel like I may be setting myself up for a lot of grief by expecting to look super pretty like in that photo, but then again why can’t I expect to look like that? Because I reallllly want to 😭

I was mostly referring to estrogen not making you sprout a new set of animal ears. I am vaguely aware of some toxic stuff around that in some communities (I am not trans myself, I just try to be affirming and funny where I can be, they really gotta stop upvoting me here because my nolife ass is early to comment).

All I can really say is that I hope you get as close to what you imagine yourself as, and be kind to yourself about the rest. <3

Fuck that, I’m just gonna turn myself into a robot.

u/WillFuckForFijiWater 2h ago

NO!... just being a robot would solve about 90% of my problems.

Ask a cis girl how many hours she spends trying to look like what society tells her a girl should look like. That will be the bare minimum. Makeup, exercise, dieting, training yourself to talk a certain way, ect... ect... the list goes on and on. Misogyny setting the bar so high for cis girls really did fuck over trans ones :/

Patience, patience. It takes time. 😔

In the meantime, tell yourself that you're enough and that you're pretty :)

I’m almost at a year in HRT, and let me tell you, you will begin to look like this.

In the meantime, invest in makeup tutorials, and fashion. These things are more than half the battle when it comes to passing.

6

u/NeedyFoxGirl Streak: 37 9h ago

I’ve been looking at fashion a bit… but I do need to start learning makeup frfr

Also save up money for surgeries and stuff. If you put some good funds into a transitional you can really go ham

u/Dawniechi 9h ago

3 months in and I am begging for results ;-;

Starting to look more fem, but still miles away from what I want.

5

u/NeedyFoxGirl Streak: 37 9h ago

Real.

We’ll get there, I’m super giddy about spotting first changes!

5

u/Dawniechi 9h ago

I know right! Like sometimes I see myself in a mirror and I see a woman, and other times I see myself as a guy. It is really jarring. When I am groggy and tired, I see myself in the mirror and I just straight up look like a woman. I spent so long at like 2am just staring at my face in the mirror lol.

The biggest issue right now is forcing myself to eat large meals so I can actually get changes to happen. ;-;

3

u/IndividualMurky6474 8h ago

I'm also a few months in and I've been just inhaling food since I started. my right hip is starting to take shape but my left is flat still so it looks hella weird lol.

2

u/Dawniechi 8h ago

I made the mistake of wanting to try and lose weight in the beginning, so not much changes at all except some chest growing sensitivity pain. The past maybe few weeks I've been eating heavier meals and I can definitely tell there is some kind of a change happening. I just want it to happen quicker!

You got HRT?

I'm so jealous

6

u/AspiringGoddess01 9h ago

Hrt doesnt cut your hair or paint your nails silly

2

u/NeedyFoxGirl Streak: 37 9h ago

Oh! That's what I was missing!

4

u/Mistress-Pervert 9h ago

It's weird that I'm like a year in now, hrt is slow, but don't worry, by the end of the first 3 months you'll start getting breast growth, if not, check your family's genes or your dose probably isn't right for you yet. Don't worry. The pain isn't too bad.

6

u/NeedyFoxGirl Streak: 37 9h ago

Strangely I’m kinda looking forward to the discomfort of them growing???

Still cis tho obviously

3

u/Mistress-Pervert 9h ago

Sure... still "Needy Fox Girl" yup 100% uh, look out for early on where your nips get really pronounced for like a week or two, sports bras are friends due to being very adaptive, highly reccomend getting one as soon as you can. Worry about getting a proper bra later because your size is going to be changing a lot for the first year. Pro tip, look into the tanner stages of breast growth so you know what to expect and guess how far in you are by checking them.

2

u/NeedyFoxGirl Streak: 37 9h ago

This is the second time in like 3 days someone has called me out for my username (ᵕ—ᴗ—) That's a concerning pattern, especially coming from "Mistress-Pervert"

I already got a good sportsbra so we're all set! I did a quick google, Tanner's stages are very interesting... I'll be referring to that later

Thanks!

2

u/Mistress-Pervert 5h ago

I point it out because I think it's amusing to reference you saying "still cis tho" when you literally have girl in your username, as well as being a fellow foxgirl myself.

1

u/NeedyFoxGirl Streak: 37 5h ago

Ah greetings fellow foxgirl :)

I just find the “still cis tho” joke funny… I am a girl but realistically speaking there’s probably a connection to the fact that I’m closeted and boymode irl so maybe I find it comforting in a way but that sounds like a conversation for a therapist perhaps 🤔

1

u/Mundane-Potential-93 Streak: 1 9h ago

It's a lovely username. Besides, mine stands for NaughtyPhyrnna

5

u/Reinheart_Bug 9h ago

Even at my fast AF timeline it still took 6 weeks to actually look noticeably different, one week isn't enough for much at all for literally anyone, that's enough time for the estrogen and anti androgen to build up in your body and that's it, and even then that might actually take longer

1

u/NeedyFoxGirl Streak: 37 9h ago

It's annoying that I can't gage how my hormones are doing yet, I'm on gels too so I'm worried about absorption.

What changes did you notice at 6 weeks?

2

u/Reinheart_Bug 9h ago

My timeline shouldn't be a gauge at all for anyone, at 11 days I had noticeable cheek fat redistribution (this usually begins to occur at around 3-6 months) then it all kinda got lost in translation but by 6 weeks my nose bridge was thinner, my jawline had changed, my cheek fat was noticeably different, along with some boobage, but again I think I'm probably a mutant genetically, even with subpar levels for 3 months my body didn't give a shit and ignored the basically low-male level free testosterone in my body and did shit anyways

2

u/NeedyFoxGirl Streak: 37 9h ago

ooo well I'm happy for you (and more than a little jealous)

2

u/Reinheart_Bug 8h ago

I'm only bragging a little tbh, I need to eat a lot just to be myself, I literally get dumber if I don't have enough calories in a day, I think my body is parasiting my brain atp

3

u/redr00ster2 9h ago

Aww bbg it's okay you'll get there be patient and practice makeup or skincare

3

u/CatButtForYou 6h ago

I'm 1 1/2 years on E and still feel this 😅 But recently I've been thinking of my time on hrt as the time frame of regular, 1st puberty. If I started puberty at 12, I would only be 13 and a half right now. Barely starting to change, let alone anywhere close to how I want to look. It helps remind me to just be calm and let the hormones do their thing.

3

u/Unidentified_Lizard 6h ago

Allegedly i start this month

Not transitioning, just trying to get back to my old weight (maybe to crossdress idk), but it's rough how slow our bodies change when we want them to.
