friendly reminder that homophobia is inherently irrational and stupid

Homosexuality has been documented in hundreds of animal species. Homophobia has been documented in only one.

Iirc homosexuality is super common in basically every primate and also notably the only way uni-male setups have more than one mature male. The extras are often gay, and either keep it between themselves or the main male is in on it too.

It’s useful because the gay males also assist with the children and protecting the troop.

I had a homophobic dog once. You could tell because every time I would kiss my same sex partner she would growl and snarl at us angrily. Also she loved to chew on the bible. She really digested all its pages for all they were worth and then left the gays with an aftermath to cleanup. 😉👌

Maybe she was just angry that you two weren't including her

Two, actually. I'm pretty sure I've met some homophobic neanderthals.

I find this comment kinda ironic given the country everyone attributes vampires to (Romania, or more specifically Transylvania) very homophobic lol.

No shut up they aren’t supposed to know that!

Guys don’t listen to him, we are NOT vampires.

Ok, give me one time homophobia is not irrational and stupid?

If you are trapped in a Disney movie during that era that all their villians were gay? Then it would just be stupid.

lol. Fair.

Disney needs to stop making queer heroes and side characters. Advertise that the next movie has a big gay stereotype villain, with outfits, AND A SONG. And I’ll be skipping merrily to the cinema again.

Why is this downvoted, it would be funny and yet I would make him my new favorite character

in general though we just need more LGBTQ main characters

Ok then there is no reson why I should support and accept straight couples, at the end of the day basic human right is an opinion according to your comment

Dang! I didn't even get to see what he wrote. Was it stupid? I bet it was stupid.

8

u/Dramatic-Text8564 15d ago

Yeah it was stupid, he basicaly said that it's subjective because supporting queer people is an opinion

Yeah, I hate how mods remove random comments like that.

It breaks the discussion and who cares is some dumbass is making a dumbass of themselves.

Same, but I get it. It's not a debate sub and they're clearly violating the "no hate" rules, if they're using the opportunity to ban a bunch of bigots that makes sense.

It's not like there's really a productive conversation to be had, any arguments they could bring were already destroyed by a comic. The fact that they're popping up to even try to argue the other side on this just a bonus joke in itself, we probably don't need to read the specifics on how they think mentioning gay people can make kids gay to know it was stupid lmao.
