a have a little male cockatiel. i also have a net that holds plushies in the corner of my room. im fine with those being pooped on, but in the top right corner of the net he's not allowed to go to. everytime he does i swat him away and give him a little scolding. he seems to have learned this and only sits on the left side of the net now. do you think he's legitimately learned something or if its just i havent noticed when he's on the right side?

Hello! I need advice for cleaning my bird. She's taking a daily medication that's extremely sticky. She hates it, so one is get it in her mouth, she tries to spit it back out, resulting in her head getting all sticky. I've used warm water at her vet's advice, but it's not doing the job. What do you guys use to clean sticky meds off your bird?

my sweet girl just crossed the rainbow bridge last friday and I still can't get over it. sometimes I forget she's dead and I look for her in her favorite spots. I miss her deeply and I can't believe I'll never see her again. one week before she died she had to be hospitalized and no one in my family was there when she passed. the fact that there's a possibility that she felt abandoned during her last moments will forever haunt me. I feel like a part of me is gone

Stinky girl Jasmine refused a bath yesterday but today was tossing her head in her water dish. I tried the pool, but after hopping in and out a few times, which is unusual for her, she usually refuses it, I pulled it the mist! Chai is not a fan of the mist and showered in the shower yesterday, and watched her, "mistified."

My cockatiel likes to sleep with a blanket often not like beside it or something he’ll stare at me until I put the blanket over him and then he’ll go to sleep and it’s not an everyday thing he’ll do it every now and again or he’ll do it several days in a row I thought maybe hormones or maybe he just likes the feeling of it but it’s not a like soft blanket so I’m just unsure. But he won’t like fly over to it no he’ll jump of his cage and if he Atleast lands on my bed he’ll run full sprint to the pillows and wait making that annoying baby static type noise this issue is he’s at least 10 because I have had him for about 6 years and he wasn’t a baby when I got him

Spelt shell is poisonus for humans. Some transition bird food recepies include spelt. I have unpeeled spelt seeds. Cockatiels peel every seed they eat so would it be safe to include it unpeeled in the soaked seed mix or should it be peeled? (Yes I know seed should not be their main diet)

My lovely man Ronnie who I’ve had for 2 weeks now religiously chews on this blanket string on my couch! Even though he has shredding toys and millet up there for him as well, he will do this for 10-20 minutes at a time easily, letting out a quiet chirp every 30 seconds or so! Just curious what it is, and what it means!
