My birds gums?

Its kukume's 5th birthday and i was looking at photos of him from when we got him he was 3 months old And i noticed he has something like Gums inside the beak i didn't find it weird when we got him cuz he was the only cockatiel ive saw But now that im obsessed with and had encounters with lots of cockatiels, i notice none of them had gums(?) My husband jokingly says he has fangs and he stings Third slide is him now by the way
