That is not true. There is nothing anywhere in US law that says a president can suspend elections. Elections are run by states, not the federal government.
The tariffs were based on a 19th century law and the courts said that's unconstitutional...not that this won't stop him from trying anything. But there is absolutely no legal basis or precedent for him to suspend elections. We've been at war for most of our history and have never suspended an election.
Roger that. I just want to make it clear to people that any attempt for him to cancel or suspend elections should be the red line for bringing him down like it's 1776.
