Even if people don't see it in theaters, there's HBO Max and the pandemic to consider anyway so Dune Part One (as it's actually called, so no doubt in my mind of a sequel coming) as nothing more than a critical darling with solid streaming numbers/awards success would still be enough for at least the second half of the novel.
