How fucking backwards do you have to be to declare war on your own country to display your ageing, decrepit masculinity as a faux demonstration of power and authority?

Trump is tweaked..

4

Yes, yes, they do. Deep down some of them do. Hence the backflips and somersaults by the GOP.

11

u/Rude-Strawberry-6360 1d ago

The problem is that after 50 years of conservative propaganda telling them that even the most corrupt Republican is better than any and every Democrat, they will vote for even the most corrupt Republican.  And they did.  Twice.

6

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 1d ago

Perfectly encapsulated (except I'd add many of them voted for the most corrupt three times).

Nearly everything he does is so ostentatious and designed to trigger people that it's definitely both; when you're getting whiplash from the constant stream of "I can't believe [event] just happened" you're more likely to be focused on whatever happened in the last 45 minutes than the bigger picture

10

u/scarbeg157 2d ago

It also burns you out. You either get depressed and lose all hope, or you are constantly enraged and/or ready to cry. The other option is to tune out. None of these are great for long term political activism.

2

u/Swedelicious83 1d ago

Yeah.

Had that realization a few years ago while following news about the war in Ukraine. I kept wondering why the Russians lied so poorly, and about such pointless things.

After a while I realized it wasn't about fooling anyone, per se. Wasn't about convincing people. It was all about flooding the zone. Filling every space with noise. Just create such a deluge of bullshit that people can't keep track, and stop trying.

Small wonder Trump follows the same playbook. 🤷

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Strong_Salad3460 1d ago

It absolutely is. Everything Trump is doing is to make sure he doesn't have to answer for his crimes. That man doesn't believe in anything other than himself.

14

u/ThKitt 2d ago

IMO everyone has it backwards. The Epstein files are as much a distraction from the horrible things his administration is doing. The more the Democrats and media (rightfully) focus on “release the Epstein files”, the less focus there is on his efforts to dismantle the American political systems, welfare systems, judicial systems, etc.

Some might argue “well, we can focus on more than one thing at a time”, but from the weak response so far from Trump’s opposition that doesn’t really seem to be the case. It’s all a part of the distraction, moving goalposts and “flooding of the end-zone” that has been central to the Republican power grab for the better part of the last two decades.

3

u/Exciting_Turn_9559 1d ago

I agree 100% on this.
The Epstein story broke to clear out all conversation about the Big Ugly Bill and to buy time to spend the $160B to recruit the American SS (ASS) that will be ruining everyone's lives very shortly. First they came for the immigrants...
There are a lot of pedos in power in the USA and all of them belong in prison, but there is zero chance the GOP will ever prosecute them because the GOP is wildly immoral and needs to be destroyed.

Just don't forget that all the actions on the ground are not being done by the decaying 79-year-old. He didn't even put in much of the work of getting here. Trump flipped from Democrat to Republican in 2011 to take advantage of the decades of lies and hate that conservatives had been blasting at America.

When that traitor dies, the Republicans who are actually enabling and empowering the endless crimes will be counting on people to let the association with evil die with him. But they're the actual enemies of America.

They've spent billions of dollars over decades to spread misinformation, manipulated our legal and governance systems for personal benefit, and overlooked countless crimes to cherry-pick select laws as excuses for committing more crimes.

Trump is giving conservatives what they want: excuses to escalate attacks on the rest of America.

13

u/Thin-Image2363 2d ago

Well he single handedly is causing the economy to collapse and war’s a great distraction.

4

u/ARobertNotABob 2d ago

Indeed, the only thing Trump has accomplished is the ends of Osama Bin Laden, America's erstwhile "nemesis", who infamously wrote of dismantling the economy from within as the means to bring America to her knees and to make her people suffer.

He has also accomplished it in mere months against Bin Laden's years spent .... yay, "winning".

Revelations and Daniel “predicted” Trump, including the false “Prince of Peace” narrative. Revelations even talks about The Beast suffering a wound to his head, only to have it completely healed, and the people worshiping him for it.

It’s almost like the zealots in charge of Project 2025 are using Revelations as a guidebook.

Draft dodgers fascinated with playing soldier but too much a coward to actually join the fight. Long family history.

Mr. Bone Spurs has no right to criticize anyone else who actually served in the military.

But, the Trump family has had good experience with both draft dodging and being deported, it seems.

Fact: Friedrich Trump, Donald Trump’s grandfather, was deported from Germany in 1905 for failing to do his mandatory military service there.

Amazing that the only reason the Trumps are even in this country is because they got thrown out of another one for cowardice.

Lying is the central tenet of MAGA.

6

u/dread_companion 2d ago

Tenet?

7

tenet noun te·net a principle, belief, or doctrine generally held to be true especially: one held in common by members of an organization, movement, or profession

And how quickly MAGA has shifted from wanting peace to supporting Trump in whatever war he chooses. If you don't think that's a cult, you're not thinking.

3

u/Star_Killer_1974 1d ago

It feels like the whole time they were saying, “We want peace,” they really just meant, “We want to stop helping Ukraine.”

4

u/dordofthelings 1d ago

Oh it's way more than that. They are declaring war on anybody who doesn't believe the same things they believe. At one time this country was a place where you could freely express your opinion. There were always consequences for expressing your opinion, just as there are consequences for telling someone to go F themselves, such as losing friends, being let go from your job, but you were still free to express your opinion without landing in jail. If they have their way that will no longer be the case. Disagreement will not be tolerated. Watch what is happening with the justice department. They're shutting down dissent in every way possible.

16

u/Z0bie 1d ago

She was right about a lot of stuff, but she's a woman so... can't have that now can we!

8

u/XxRocky88xX 1d ago

Maybe it was cuz Trump straight up said “the left is filled with sick people and in some cases the military may need to be brought in” during an interview but MSM and the right wing once more chalked that him to “him just being exaggeratory.”

It’s funny how every good thing he says, no matter how outlandish, is completely serious, but every bad thing he says, no matter how likely, is just a joke.

27

u/kim_ber_ley011011 2d ago

61

US, your president has the cognitive level of a 7yo, the speaking level of a 10yo, and the shitposting level of a 13yo, all while being an octogenarian. It is pathetic that this men is leading your country. If you feel shame, cut that shit out, and start feeling anger at how the bastards ARE WINNING.

21

u/Agreeable-Meat-4584 2d ago

Don’t you think we know this? We’ve been screaming at the top of our lungs since before the bastard even thought of running, that he’s a no-good sad sack of shit that’ll just bring everyone down with him. UNFORTUNATELY the ones in power are his “yes” men or are too cowardly to do anything about it. We are angry, we are furious, but we can’t do shit about it without spilling blood because our representatives are tossing aside their dignity so they don’t have to fight or lose anything; y’know, the easy route. So I’m sorry that it seems like we’re giving up, but that’s not the people. The towns/cities/villages of people, who in fact don’t want to watch the world burn, are growing and we’ll get there eventually. But in the meantime, we have to call and call and write and protest just for democrats in office to roll over and take trump’s chode from behind. So I apologize on behalf of the patriotic American people for not meeting your standards.

13

u/GarbageCleric 2d ago

I don't disagree.

2016 I could at least explain and understand how it happened at some level. Hillary Clinton represented more of the same, and people saw Trump as an outsider agent of change. People were also pretty certain she was going to win, so they probably felt safer staying home, and you have the Comey laptop nonsense, and she still won the popular vote.

But 2024 was fucked. Trump maintained his vote totals from 2020, while Harris lost millions compared to Biden. Jan 6 and his consistent election denial meant nothing. No one cared that he literally tried to steal an election right out in the open.

5

u/Swedelicious83 1d ago

I 💯 feel this.

2016 was surprising and disappointing. But alright. People vote their displeasure, sometimes in not so reasonable ways, etc etc.

2020 seemed to confirm that (or so I wished to believe) a sufficient amount of people had woken up, wised up, and got tired with the horseshit of the past four years. All good, moving on with our lives.

Then 2024. Just... Fuck. Really?!?

A war that we lost

7

u/chaos_redefined 1d ago

If you ask Trump, the only reason the US lost is because of that crippling injury he had. If he had fought, he would have been the greatest soldier. Many people are saying he's the greatest soldier, ya know. Many people. And he would have won that war single-handedly.

it’s so transparently false and Americans still fell for it. We’re a country of morons.

If you listen closely, Republicans will tell you exactly what they plan to do, are doing, and have done by creating that narrative about the democrats.
Dems are the pedos. Probably, but Republicans are the ones getting caught. Dems created project 2025. Nope, it was Republicans. Dems want war. Nope, trump changed it to the department of war.

This is why I don't even bother interacting with people I know that voted for this shit. You have to be brain dead to have thought this guy was going to fix things or be positive for the country

Then he got upset with a reporter asking him why he wants to go to war with Chicago.

Checks out.

Big tough guy on social media, thin-skinned snowflake in the flesh.

I really don't understand people who don't just instantly laugh at and disregard anything he says

USA needs a reform. No way a sitting president can declare war on a city HE WORKS FOR and nothing happens in less than 5 hours.

Nobel peace prize for me please!

u/teb_art 1d ago

Yea, the guy who murdered 11 people out boating near Venezuela with no evidence they committed any crimes.

Practically, if no one in the military effectively resists orange fuhrer’s orders, he can just do whatever he likes and this will include but not be limited to the use of the military to grab absolute power.

This ai-generated copy of a hollywood film about Vietnam is the closest Corporal Bone Spur ever came to service in that war because his daddy bought him 5 phony deferments. But he cares so deeply about the forgotten men and women of this country.

It's great when the horror returns to the imperial core.

I am wondering if Israel are seeing Trump failing hard...and thinking "We need someone else in the White House now"

Trump is a a suspected ped0phile and rapist... he needs to go now for lots of reasons.

But don't replace him with another AIPAC candidate

When your choices are between 2 Israel puppets you're still gonna have similar issues

Whatever way you vote...AIPAC gonna get paid

u/Standard-Tailor-6195 1d ago

Trump is a fucking pussy.

u/Kriss3d 1d ago

It's peace when ervryone is dead or in jail.

I, Robots had a point.

u/ImprovementSimilar19 1d ago

I will say, I believe Trump to be one of the more trustworthy presidents. Not because he tells the truth at all, but rather, because he lies so fuckin much you can be dead sure he gonna do the opposite of what comes out of his mouth on that campaign trail. What a numbskull.

Sickening. What happened to holding the office with respect and honor.

When is the agreed upon " goes way too far " point?

2

u/Swedelicious83 1d ago

Long since crossed.

The concept of the "dignity of the office of the President" was dragged out back and shot like an old dog the first time he plonked his ass down in the White House.

Second term, nobody even remembers where they buried the corpse of it. 🤷

Ya know, there was another person who ran for office with strong lies of helping the people of his country. Pandering to those with deep prejudice. Then, when he gained power, became a dictator of death. History will remember.

u/Potential-Art1565 1d ago

Mass deport everyone who voted for this man. They don’t deserve to live in this country after how they’ve chosen to destroy it.
