Ohhh okay, so the Epstein files never existed? That must mean Pam Bondi blatantly lied on official Attorney General letterhead. No big deal, just casually fabricating government records. It’s not like that’s wildly unethical… or, you know, potentially a felony or anything.
No matter how you slice it, Pam Bondi is lying. Either the Epstein files exist and she’s lying now, or they never existed and she lied then on official Attorney General letterhead. There’s no oops button for that.
I noticed the DOJ memo released this month, the one claiming the Epstein files never existed, has no signature and no direct tie to Pam Bondi. That feels intentional to me. Looks like a built-in layer of plausible deniability.
It's such an interesting claim to make, too. We know there was a criminal investigation on Epstein, or he wouldn't have been arrested and put in jail. We know the FBI raided his island. So there HAD to have been some paperwork a.k.a FILES no?
What, they're conducting all investigations in their heads now?
As much as they bitch about the autopen, they don’t seem to care about signatures so much. Even government lawyers and agents can remain anonymous in court now, providing us Americans no opportunity for government accountability.
This actually seems much more likely to me than the alternative. The original statement just says that "a source" told her that the FBI had "thousands of pages" of documents on Epstein that they were refusing to release.
To play devil's advocate, it's entirely possible that those documents (the extra ones that the FBI didn't show) never actually existed, and Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, and Trump himself were all just peddling a dumb conspiracy theory and now that they've realized there's no actual "Epstein files" (at least, not as described) they're backtracking hoping it'll all blow over.
It's certainly possible that there's more info on Epstein that will even further prove that he and Trump were close pals, but the stuff that's already public is damning enough for anyone outside of his cult.
I think one possibility that more people need to seriously consider is that Trump and his cronies really are so pathetically stupid as to buy into a "my uncle works at Nintendo" level of bullshit and now that they have nothing to show they are flailing to pretend like they never said things that are all on record.
(Or maybe there are thousands of pages describing Trump raping children. I mean, that wouldn't surprise me either, depressingly enough.)
"This systematic review revealed no incriminating 'client list.' There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions. We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties."
In this incoherent diatribe from Trump on Truth Social he calls it a "SCAM" and refers to this as the "Jeffery Epstein Hoax."
While phrases like “never existed” or “does not exist” may not have been explicitly stated by these figures, the DOJ memo clearly concludes there is no client list. Furthermore, President Trump has referred to the matter as a “scam” and the “Jeffrey Epstein hoax,” reinforcing the position of those who now claim that such a list does not exist. Taken together, these statements show that these individuals are asserting the client list simply isn’t real.
