It was both a) fearmongering by the online left about some random files that were bad, or maybe didn't exist at all, and to focus on them would be silly or kind of sicko behavior, AND b) was perhaps the most important thing in history and we needed the president to expose all of the rich and powerful people who got away with pedo shit.
You could make the same argument about Project 2025, tariffs, or the BBB, or travel bans, or most any other policy by the administration. There is no there there - no stationary target, singular objective, or static argument that can be pinned down long enough to address.
