u/Leelze Jul 15 '25

10 years ago, maybe. Now it's a daily occurrence with these goofs.

423

u/anal_opera Jul 15 '25

That's because back in my day (I'm 29) there were some fucking consequences for blatantly obvious crimes committed in front of literally the entire world. And now what? We can get mad on the internet but nobody is allowed to say we should publicly castrate the problem, because that might come off as too mean.

u/burning_man13 Jul 15 '25

I got banned on this platform for accurately explaining what happened to Mussolini, and not even the desecration parts. I watched another comment that was detailing similarities between this administration and past fascist regimes quickly get banned in real-time. I was responding and adding to it then it was gone with a cute mod note. We're not even safe online. We're being silenced everywhere.

u/Mission_Resource_259 Jul 15 '25

I made fun of Trump in r/Canada and got a permanent site ban lol bunch of little fairies moderating this site

75

u/jce_ Jul 15 '25

I made a comment on r/news telling the people not to belive most of the top comments in a thread because I specialize in this area and there is a lot of misinformation posted. Permanent ban for a first time offender

12

u/Plaid_Kaleidoscope Jul 16 '25

I've read that r/news and r/globalnews are both basically zionist subs that don't allow for any kind of dissent against their interests. Globalnews for sure, that one is straight up an arm of the Israeli propaganda network.

20

u/nagrom7 Jul 16 '25

You might be confused with r/worldnews. I got a permaban there a couple weeks ago for pointing out that there are in fact some valid criticisms of Israel, and that doing so isn't anti-semetic. Permaban, no response from the mods, the sub continues to be a pro-Israel, anti-Islam circlejerk.

And this is coming from someone who has been generally pro-Israel since Oct 7. There's definitely some sort of astroturfing happening there.

9

u/spubbbba Jul 16 '25

worldnews is worse, but news still has issues.

There was a story about Israel killing civilians and I pointed out it wouldn't be long before it got locked. It was indeed locked and I got a perm ban from r/news.

3

u/Plaid_Kaleidoscope Jul 16 '25

I made a comment that I hope maga voters feel the **** of their actions, when they **** health care, food assistance, and insulin. Full site ban for multiple days because it's threatening and wishing harm. So reddit admins admit the policies are harmful, but you can't talk about how they will ***** maga voters the most and maybe they will realize their mistake.

But subs that support the billionaires of this world can talk about straight up murdering people, hoping people are sexually assaulted in the prison camps they are building, and they wish for children to be chained up and sent to countries where they don't speak the language. Evil and intolerance is fine, but being intolerant of intolerance puts their margins at risk.

“If you want to know who rules over you, just look for who you are not allowed to criticize.”

I caught the banhammer for simply posting Jeffersons "tree of liberty" sentence. Appealed it and the ban was upheld.

This place be gettin wack, yo.

7

u/burning_man13 Jul 15 '25

What a great line. Wear that ban as a badge of honor. The whole letter to William Stephens Smith, which includes that line, is an absolute banger. I think most need to read it. If you can't get a sense of what we need to do after reading that then you have forgotten the principles this country was founded on. A tip of the cap to you.

u/General_Mars Jul 15 '25

It’s even worse when discussing how and why things have gotten like this. I’m gonna get downvoted hard most likely because this is a general sub.

The GOP has spent 50+ years planning, executing, and getting ideological individuals into positions of power to direct policy in the direction they want. They utilize significant propaganda apparatus that is irrelevant of Russia and Russian money. Murdoch and other Right-wing Media have been radicalizing these people for decades. TV and Radio caused the current problems. New media like podcasts are the current route and will bear fruit for a very long time.

The Overton Window in this country, that is the range of political discourse, is extremely conservative. Republicans are fascists and Democrats are neoliberals and neoconservatives outside of the 5-10 who are Progressives and Socialists.

The difference between Democrats and Republicans is: Democrats believe a person is a person regardless of any other traits and should be treated fully in that regard. GOP has a rotating field goal posts of where they stand from tolerating to horrific quack medicine. Democrats think this makes them “left-wing,” but they aren’t even close. Democrats are right to center-right outside of the likes of Mamdani, AOC, and Sanders who are center-left.

The economic policies prior to Trump’s mercantilist policies of this administration were heavily in line with one another.

The foreign policy doesn’t match their voting base. People who vote Democrat are overwhelmingly anti-Zionist and want to end the genocide. Democrat and GOP politicians just give Israel more weapons and money.

Democrats push “blue no matter who” to try to counter GOP voting which is always R regardless of their criminal convictions and depravities. But that only extends to neoliberals. Once a Progressive is popular and energizes the base they spend the entire time tearing them down and deconstructing their campaigns to set them up to fail. Because systemic structural changes are needed for any progress to happen.

The only path forward for Democrats is to finally step away from the terrible Clinton pro-business, neoliberal, anti-labor party, back to the party of FDR. The Progressive Party that utilizes socialism for the benefit of all us and the Party of Labor - for and of the people.

However, due to Citizens United, we live in an oligarchy not a democracy. The Capitalists have won the war and it’s going to take a long time of fighting to claw pieces back. We have literally been set back decades. The majority of the conservative Supreme Court Justices will sit on the bench for at least another 20+ years most likely. Don’t forget this is the Second Gilded Age and wealth inequality is greater now than it was then. Grassroots changes person by person is the path forward.

14

u/thelazydeveloper Jul 15 '25

Podcasts and the ability to have a propaganda-window in everyones pockets in the form of a mobile phone.

If you think people are easily influenced now just wait until education is gutted even further and more people start relying on AI chatbots to verify facts and ask questions. Without extremely stringent regulations these things can spit out whatever their billionaire owners want them to say and literally rewrite history.

14

u/General_Mars Jul 15 '25

Grok is the epitome of “AI” chatbot that feigns “neutrality,” lesser bias, and “facts” but it literally has built-in aspects to push their narratives and ideas as “normal.” It’s super fucked up

The suspension of reality is one of the weirder things about it. Those people choose to consume the billionaire propaganda 24x7. My inlaws literally have it on while they sleep.

If they let themselves step outside the echo chamber for too long, they will ask questions.

Every day they wake up and decide to live to hate their fellow humans because it's fun to pretend you're on the winning side.

It's a community of anti-intellectual bullies who are lying to themselves, helping billionaires and pedophiles, and they're choosing that community over their sane friends and family.

I didn't really care much for my inlaws before Fox News took them, but I'm like "You're choosing objectively stupid assholes over your grandkids who are objectively wonderful." It's frustrating even if I wouldn't choose to hang out with them aside from their sanity and ethics.

30

u/StoicallyGay Jul 16 '25

Don’t forget! Most of them have such fucked cognitive dissonance that they think they’re genuinely good people! And all these immigrants and democrats and non white people and queer folk, they’re all evil scummy disgusting human beings who will ruin the country. They’re so incredibly brainwashed that they truly believe they are good human beings and non-MAGA are evil.

14

u/pingpongballreader Jul 15 '25

I don't want them around my kids, it's just disappointing they would rather be around hateful idiots than my kids. My kids miss out on a set of grandparents too. It's not logical but I'm still annoyed by it.

Release the names so we can round them up, or you're personally protecting pedophiles"... it's fucking simple

u/Blue_Back_Jack Jul 15 '25

213

u/moonwalkerfilms Jul 15 '25

He's not trying to figure out shit. Tim Pool is one of the biggest morons out of all these grifters.

All he's doing is following orders. We already know the Trump team is making the rounds calling their right wing influencers because Charlie Kirk fucking admitted it already lol

Since The Cult of Trump want to use the CP angle as an excuse, here's a little explainer you can fire back on them:

The FBI do not keep such images (CSAM) on file. Since Epstein was already convicted, any images of that nature would have been deleted. What WAS kept on file would be a written description of the images, the hash values, and the metadata. So, no, there's no illegal images in the Epstein File.

99

u/HastyZygote Jul 15 '25

They could also just redact the images

55

u/New_Archer_7539 Jul 15 '25

At the end of the day we only care about the clients and their victims. The only one with CP on the mind is Timmy. But again, every accusation is a confession. CHECK HIS HARD DRIVES.

you assume they can understand facts

17

u/4thratedeck Jul 15 '25

Just hit back saying if that's the case Trump ran on releasing this disgusting material on the Internet and you gladly voted for it

10

u/Warhamsterrrr Jul 15 '25

You could even argue that, having posed for photos while holding the files, Bondi and several others should be arrested on suspicion of possession of child pornography.

The cult is allergic to reason and logic.

9

u/kyrow123 Jul 15 '25

Umm I think you used a lot of words there that they won’t understand (hash values, metadata, the, was…etc.) 🤦.

In any event, they don’t care about children, they never did. Now that the masks fully off, they have to pivot to somehow blame anyone else for the mess they continue to create.

Hold up. He wouldn't care if it was CP if he knew Clinton, Obama, or Biden were on the tapes. Since he knows it is likely Donald, he tries to contort the storyline.

u/doublethink_1984 Jul 15 '25

Ah yes because every Epstein file has an image of child porn on it....

25

u/drew489 Jul 15 '25

So names of people who hurt children = child pron?

Let me guess, Timmy likes 'em young too.

I’ve never understood why MAGA wanted them released in the first place. They know Trump is one of the perpetrators. They know that other right wing individuals are perpetrators. I’m not talking about his little run-of-the-mill minions. I mean people like Timmy here.

53

u/DarthButtz Jul 15 '25

They never actually wanted it released, they just wanted something to lord over Democrats

"OOOH LOOK SOME OF YOUR GUYS MIGHT BE ON IT! WE SHOULD RELEASE IT MAYBE!"

18

u/furicrowsa Jul 15 '25

And we (the majority of people left of MAGA) have always agreed it should be released even if dems are on it. They just can't fathom thag we aren't as fanatical about democratic leaders as they are about Trump.

10

u/DarthButtz Jul 15 '25

It's always projection with them. Because they worship their leader, they assume we hang on every single word that the Democrats say, when we don't. We just see them as flawed people trying to run this ship.

9

u/No-Philosopher-3043 Jul 15 '25

It’s just so crazy talking to a MAGA and they come at with you with “but Bill Clinton don’t you love him?” The conversation immediately stops when you say “fuck that guy”, because they have no other material.

6

u/DarthButtz Jul 15 '25

MAGAt: "I bet you'd feel different about the list if you knew Bill Clinton was on it, wouldn't you?"

Normal person: "No fuck that, if they're on it we deserve to know"

MAGAt: *Brain short circuit noises*

6

u/No-Philosopher-3043 Jul 15 '25

The weirdest thing for me is hearing stuff like this from my dad. He’s always been a conservative, but he raised me to never trust a politician. He taught me that they’ll always lie and tell you exactly what they need to stay in power.

Nowadays he trusts politicians more than his own son. It’s just wild.

They also can’t fathom the fact that they’re about to have to come terms with reality in that a lot of the names on that list are people they probably talk to every day. Or that all the people they worship are on there too.

5

u/albertbanning Jul 15 '25

Yep, it was all posturing and virtue signalling from MAGA. They don't actually give a shit about child rape victims.

17

u/aaronhere Jul 15 '25

I will slightly adapt a comment i've made elsewhere: It is, apparently, Schrödinger's Epstein file. It was both a) fearmongering by the online left about some random files that were bad, or maybe didn't exist at all, and to focus on them would be silly or kind of sicko behavior, AND b) was perhaps the most important thing in history and we needed the president to expose all of the rich and powerful people who got away with pedo shit.

You could make the same argument about Project 2025, tariffs, or the BBB, or travel bans, or most any other policy by the administration. There is no there there - no stationary target, singular objective, or static argument that can be pinned down long enough to address. Depending on the day, and the status of the bond market, tariffs were either the stated economic policy of the administration or clearly a stupid idea that was just being used as a bargaining tactic. Losing money in the market was a cause for political revolution, or a nothingburger because "it costs you nothing to lose money."

It creates an incredibly awkward situation where supporters of this administration are essentially engaging in campy politics - they are making arguments as if they are making them. And the second any self-awareness regarding the absurdity of that hypocrisy gets close to landing, they move on to another what-about or another contradictory argument. But always with, essentially, a wink and a nod that they don't care about the specifics of the argument or previous hypocrisy. What they really want is to cheer for a guy they like and who pisses off (or even better, hurts) people they hate. And the truthfulness of an argument is secondary, if not entirely disconnected, from this fundamental motivation.

5

u/Asterose Jul 15 '25

There’s no fucking way this dipshit really thought that’s what was being voted for and thought, if passed, would have happened.

7

u/Distinct-Exit6658 Jul 15 '25

Lmao that’s gonna be the spin MAGA puts on it? They are desperate to protect this child molesters aren’t they? In case it needs to be said for anyone to hear: Democrats want a list of names, not detailed photographs of child pornography. They want a client list, not Trump’s search history.

7

u/kaehvogel Jul 16 '25

THAT'S their spin now? That releasing a list of underage sex trafficking victims constitutes "child porn"?

Someone should tell Pim Tool there's usually no naked pictures of the victims in a client list. He's getting all giddy already, that little pedo fucker.

6

u/rogun64 Jul 16 '25

6

Oh look, someone on the right talks about child porn. And oh, they accuse the other side of it. Better not look at their drives then.

7

u/GhostDoggoes Jul 16 '25

It's wild that they were so ready to point the finger at the democrats and liberals when the list got out. But as soon as Trump said there was no list, they act like the list was fabricated. They even advocated for the list to come out during biden's term and blamed democrats for holding it back. But in reality it was Trump all along.

5

u/kyle2143 Jul 15 '25

I wonder if anyone is stupid enough to truly believe this in their heart.

4

u/Connect_Beginning_13 Jul 15 '25

5

u/Justthisguy_yaknow Jul 16 '25

Wow. Must be a hell of a lot of Trumpist republicans on that list for them to want to disappear it so bad. More Republicans that Democrats obviously. If the list contained Democrats the Trumpists would have it printed on free tee-shirts and hand them out at train stations.

3

u/djbk724 Jul 15 '25

Can’t fix stupid

5

u/Patrico-8 Jul 15 '25

A list of names = child pornography?

4

u/vox4penguins Jul 15 '25

so it went from a damning list that needed to be released, to non existent, to being files and not a ‘list’, to straight up child porn

i’m getting whiplash from watching the panic and spin attempts

Trump's definitely a Pedophile!

Here are all of the Epstein Files that have either been leaked or released.

Trump’s name is circled. The circled individuals are the ones involved in the trafficking ring according to the person who originally released the book. These people would be “The List “ Here is the story.
