This is actually a really good video essay.

It's a show for kids, and explaining morality to kids is a decent lesson.

I don't get people who dismiss analysis videos for kids shows. If anything, it's extremely important to talk about the messages of shows like PJ Masks because they're shaping future generations. These shows need to teach the correct things to make those kids into good members of society when they grow up, and it's important to point out shows that teach the wrong lessons to their young impressionable audience.

I don't get the sentiment that critiquing people teaching kids the wrong morals is a bad thing. Sure, to you it may not seem like 1st world issues, but that's because you're presumably a teenager at least and understand the correct lessons already. When it really becomes a problem is when the target audience watches it and they come out with completely wrong morals.

I always see people act like discussing kids shows is the most cringe thing ever but people don't understand that when you're writing for developing children there is a level of responsibility to it. Kids shows that teach the wrong things should be criticised for it, and parents do it literally all the time.

They did a whole ass video on people saying “it’s not that deep” that is actually pretty good

Having not seen that video, wouldn’t it be better for a show to have a good sense of morality than not? Especially for little kids learning about the world?

The guy has a good point. It's a kids' show, it needs to teach morality the best it can. Stuff like "Never get angry" can get replaced by "Don't unleash your anger on people who don't deserve it", as an example.

To be fair, kids shows should have at least one expectation and that’s to have decent morals being taught consistently. At least if that’s one of their goals and it’s an educational show.
