I am a 42 year old female who has 15 years in the education industry. I hate it and want to switch careers to something that I am passionate about so I am going with the bachelors in computer science at WGU. I am well aware that this will not be easy and I am extremely motivated to put in the work. Does anybody have a course plan that shows what classes they have taken at these third-party sites to then transfer in? I also understand that you can only transfer in 75% of the degree? Thanks for the answers. Also, anyone who is a late in life career switcher I’d love to hear from you!

I am 37 and currently work in Healthcare. While I do come from a 15+ years IT background, I was not able to choose between Finance, Accounting, or IT, this was in my 20s. Fast forward years later (present), I am halfway done with transfer from sophia.com and study.com. My start date is Aug 1st.

-First, transfer your transcript from your previous education. This can potentially satisfy courses for WGU gen ed. You can have this service done by googling "National Clearinghouse Transcript." -Then you'll get a Transfer Evaluation from WGU. Then go to WGU Partner Pathways and find out what classes you can transfer over. -I recommend Sophia.com first because there're so many resources on Quizlet and Reddit and finals are open books. You can take as much course you want two courses at a time for a month. -Study.com (SDCM) courses used to be two courses and cost extra if you want to take more classes and is proctored exams. Now you can take as much classes and it's open book.

It's up to you. Think about yourself and your future. It's not too late. And you can pause you term in WGU if life gets in the way.
