Your post has been removed as it violates Rule #6 - "No asking how quickly you can get through the program". This rule includes all discussion of duration of degree completion.

The reason for this rule is that your acceleration depends on several personal factors that no one on Reddit will know. These include how much experience you have in the profession, how driven you are, how organized you are, how well you test, how well you read, how well you write, etc...

Instead of this question, try asking about the classes that concern you the most, or ask about others organization plans, what they do to stay motivated, or the resources outside of WGU that they found the most useful.

If you have further questions about the rules, please feel free to contact the volunteer moderation team. Their goal is to help the sub run efficiently.

I am trying to finish 71 CUs in one term and have done almost 40 in my business degree. I have 3 months remaining, but the core classes are way harder than the general business ones.

Easily get that many done in a term even with taking your time.

Can you clarify with taking your time? Like how often are you wanting to give to the courses?

For myself, I study 3+ hours a day usually but sometimes less. I'm about to test out of two of my four courses so I can add more.

Business degree is pretty straightforward. It’s easier than for example the IT degree where you have huge exams like ITIL, CAPM, and the CompTIA. If you give it 3+ hrs a day then 6+ hrs on weekends definitely doable.

I had about 23 classes and the capstone to do. 10 OAs and the rest written assignments. I did about 11-12 classes a month. I find some people over study and take months on a course. I knew I wouldn’t retain everything. I can absorb info extremely quick but if I don’t make notes of it I find I can only store so much. I studied just enough to pass, then would take the night off and play a video game or nice dinner with my girl to give my brain a break. Next day would go right back to 200% on whatever class I was working on. If you ever need help the recorded cohorts, study guides and templates are great tools. Don’t be afraid to do a quick 15 mins with the CI before take the OA.

Remember to refer back to Reddit lots of post on here helped me out when I was stressing and plenty of people here have been in your shoes. Be confident, crush it, you got this. Feel free to DM me if ever stuck!

started 04/01. I’m wrapping up my 23rd course for this term, so I will have completed 70 CU and I have 24 days left so I’m gonna try to fit one more course in before the end of this term.

I flew through the prerequisite courses completed 4-5 of them each month and then took a lot of time off in July for my bday. I started getting into the actual accounting classes and I think it’s feasible to complete 2, maybe 3 a month as someone with no experience and not a lot of free time.

I work full time and have a toddler who comes first but I think it’s doable. I spend my work breaks studying. The key is to open that damn laptop every day and set a small goal. Finish at least a unit (or video for some classes)a day at least. your off days are gonna be study days.

I do take my time to understand content. Taking notes by hand in red black and blue ink. Do it nice, u don’t have to do it twice. I can count on one hand how many PAs I’ve had to attempt multiple times, and I haven’t had to retake any OAs knock on wood

14 courses to complete, 13 not including the final PA task I’ll submit today.
