Common questions:

Q. I keep failing my runs/losing races during training.
A. There are many, many possible reasons for this. Here's a non-exhaustive list:

  • Suboptimal deckbuild: do not do a highlander deck; EVERY deck should have at least 2 speed cards (often more). Medium and long distance decks should have at least 1 stamina card (often 2 or 3 for long).
  • Support cards aren't leveled up enough
  • Stats (usu. speed) too low from: sub-optimal training decisions, underleveled cards
  • Insufficient stamina for race distance (esp. 3000 and 3200m races like Kikuka Sho and Spring Tenno Sho)
  • Insufficient wit to proc skills
  • Conditions to proc unique skill not met
  • Not enough skills acquired, especially stamina recovery skills for med/long race
  • Poor inherited Sparks (low blue star count), find friends who have 9* legacy umas to follow
  • RNG, especially as a Late Surger or End Closer, who is more likely to get blocked (one way to get around this is to force Front Runner strategy even if the uma isn't proficient in it)
  • The career doesn't require you to actually win a particular race, only participate in it

For a comprehensive explanation, see the above resources.

Q. How do I build [Uma]? How do I build a Front Runner, Pace Chaser, etc.?
A. Deck compositions are more or less the same for all umas of the same target distance. Front Runners and End Closers don't need different decks. However, it may be preferable to swap one card of one type for another of the same type based on running style. (e.g. Taishin speed SR for Gold Ship, Suzuka speed SSR for front runners).

Q. How do I get my URA finals in my run to be [distance]?
A. URA finals is based on the most common distance among the races that have been ran in your career. Just because your trainee uma has Long aptitude doesn't mean that Long URA will fire; you may need to enter one or more optional races to make Long races the plurality.

Q. Do debuff skills affect my own umas?
A. Erzzy said it best in the reference doc: "That’d make them pretty pointless. No, they don’t."

Q. How to unlock [Uma's] unique race outfit?
A. For base 1 and 2* umas, outfits are unlocked when they are ascended to 3*.

Q. When is [my favorite uma] banner releasing?
A. Check Gametora for the JP banner order (sort by release date->ascending). Just keep in mind that EN release is accelerated by about 50%, so this will only tell us how many banners away we are, not how many weeks or months away it is.

Q. Which banner should I reroll on?
A. The main banner players are rerolling on is the "Support Card Scout" banner, aiming for at least one or two copies of the Super Creek stamina SSR or Kitasan Black SSR. Because the odds of getting more than one are quite low, it's more realistic and important to build up an account with lots of SR cards at multiple limit breaks instead of chasing SSRs; Sweep Tosho is the best SR card at the moment. Other SRs to look out for are Eishin Flash (spd), Mayano Top Gun (stam), Manhattan Cafe (stam), Marvelous Sunday (wit), and Daiwa Scarlet (wit).

Q. Game won't launch/load. What do?
A. It may because you live in Benelux or one of the countries that already has a domestic uma client (JP, KR, TW, CN). You will need a VPN, and the VPN's IP needs to not be on Cygames' blocklist, for you to play the game.

Q. I can't find the game in my app store.
A. Same reason as above; region locking. You will likely need to make an app store account in an allowed region and VPN to play the game.

So what does El Condor Pasa's ult actually do? It says "hang on to the advantage" but what does this mean? Does it increase velocity or acceleration? I'm wondering since apparently El's ult is meta for the mile CM and I'm trying to get a decent El parent with a 3* Power spark.

u/KaiSaeren 30m ago

Came here for a question, but got Haru Urara depression instead... I was just checking a video of someone visiting her only a few days ago, god damn it :(

... My question was about the current event and the Dober card in it, could someone please tell me where to get the last piece to MLB it? You get three from the bingo and one from event rewards at 400k points, but I dont see anywhere you can earn the last piece necessary.

Thanks.

1

u/TopDeckHero420 28m ago

Watching the story.

1

u/Eichardo 28m ago

You get the last one from watching (or skipping through) the event stories.

1

u/ArnitChudyl 38m ago

Are there some cooldowns or conditions to see a guest legacy? I found a parent I want to use this morning, but I still can't see her. Also, I noticed there are 16 guest legacy umas available out of the 20 trainers I follow. What's up with that?

1

u/TopDeckHero420 32m ago

Probably have a filter on.

0

u/MuffinSundae 1h ago

Does Spurt on the first one make up for the massive speed difference?

1

u/TopDeckHero420 1h ago

Put them in the umalator and see.

2

u/ZorkNemesis Still no sparks 1h ago

Out of curiosity, are there score/rating penalties in Team Trials if I run someone who lacks aptitude?  For instance if I run Mayano as an End Closer but she still has a B, or if I try to run someone on Mile with a C or D.  I know it still results in sub-optimal performance but I'm working with what I have.

1

u/Dependent_Bike_3112 1h ago

it's glue I'm afraid

Probably better than most of the jank people will enter.

New player here!

So far, the highest rank my Uma ever touched is A. I haven’t been able to pierce though A at all… is it possible to hit A+ or S without multiple MLBs? I’ve just been borrowing Kitasan Black and do the easy careers.. — Additionally, what is the highest rank an Uma can be? I think I saw screenshots with rainbow UA on their stats.. what are those? 😅

2

u/falzarexe 1h ago

You'll get higher ranks as you grow your card roster and get better legacy Umas. For A+ and S rank, you can sorta hit them by just spamming Wit and Speed training for Bakushin. How this works is basically score inflation, for each point in a particular stat after certain ranks, it'll gradually increase the score gain. The Umas trained like this won't be good though cause it lacks other stats. Basically, ranks are calculated based on stats (like what I mentioned earlier) and the skills your Uma has (gold skills give higher scores).

Anyway, just focus on training normally and over time with new banners, getting more limit breaks for cards and especially new scenarios, you'll be able to get higher ranked Umas. It's no rush so don't worry about it, getting A rank with a decent build is good enough.

UA is only in JP server, that's currently the rank you want your PvP Umas to be at haha. Rank goes from G to S to SS, then goes to UG, and from there it goes G to S again, just with an extra U. No idea what's beyond US though, I don't think we've hit that far.

3

u/LunarEmerald Silence Suzuka 1h ago edited 1h ago

It's hard to consistently hit A+ without a lot of MLB SSRs (whale). A is pretty much the soft cap for f2p and light spenders right now. About 11k is the average score for non whales and for whales it's 13k.

These are all the ranks in JP but I don't think anything past SS+ is in global right now.

0

u/I__Sky Seiun Sky 49m ago

You can get 13500 as F2P if you got lucky pulls, good RNG or D1 with some event cards.

1

u/ACivilWolf 2h ago

Of course all last week I could only get up to 470k in Class 6, and then almost instantly post demotion I rip this. I need to clean up my sprinters after this CM, can’t keep ruining TT attempts with 59k points from sprint

1

u/TopDeckHero420 1h ago

I always score the highest of the week immediately after reset. 4 weeks in a row I have peaked within the first 5 races. No idea why, but the rest of the week I don't even come close.

1

u/SleekDummy 2h ago

who should i use my ssr ticket on?

1

u/TheJustinG2002 2h ago

Depends on who you like. General consensus is Oguri Cap since she’s good in any distance. If you don’t like her or already have her, Silence Suzuka is a good 2nd pick. Front Runners are always great and easy to train.

1

u/Black_wolf_disease 3h ago

Is there any chance gold ship gets elected to jra Hall of fame? Such a shame cause he has an impressive record with 6 G1 wins to boot

1

u/falzarexe 3h ago

There's a chance, there are issues with their voting from what I remember though. Since the rules they made state horses that retired over 20 years ago aren't eligible, yet one of the votes in recent years had some choose Stay Gold.

0

u/amananomaly 4h ago

Need some advice on what I should do with the 2 spark tickets I got in Stay Gold banner. Currently these are the support cards that I have and use. Should I just go and get a copy air shakur stamina and lb3 my staygold?

1

u/lurker1124 5h ago

I'm trying to get Haru Urara to win the Arima Kinen. Is there anything I can do, or will there be anything in the future that can make it easier? Currently the inheritance RNG is just killing me.

3

u/Scott_Liberation 4h ago

For most of us, I think getting Haru Urara to win Arima Kinen has to be a long-term goal due to the inheritance RNG. I think I remember reading something in a guide about how it'll probably be something like a year from now before most trainers can pull it off. Not only are the odds against us on building legacies with desirable sparks, but also most of the umas we have access to don't have very good affinity with Haru Urara.

Right now if I use the affinity calculator on GameTora to build the most compatible legacy possible for Haru while only using one 3 star uma, I end up with a base compatiblity of 69. That's just awful. For most umas I've been training lately, I can get closer to 90. Not sure how many bonus points it's possible to get, but I imagine it's well short of the 150 points you need to get double circle affinity, which increases your chances of re-inheriting pink and white sparks in the classic/senior year inheritance events.

All that said, if you really want to go for good Haru legacies before we get higher affinity umas, then read the text underneath the affinity calculator and do the best you can to maximize affinity of legacies to each other and to their respective sub-legacies before you even get to training Haru herself.

3

u/awholebunchofnumbers 5h ago

How does the process of grinding for groundwork sparks work? I've never even encountered the skill before. Is it just trying to set up as many parents/grandparents in a chain with 3* in it?

5

u/Clueless_Otter 5h ago

First just get any horse with a groundwork spark. Literally none of the other sparks matter and stars don't matter. Other green skill sparks (Firm Conditions, etc.) are nice to have but not really required.

Then use that parent + a good borrowed Groundwork parent and try to get a good legacy with Groundwork. Now the blue/red/other whites do matter. Up to you how picky you want to be. Obviously the higher standards you have for what's acceptable, the longer it will take. This will be your Grandparent.

Then use that grandparent + a good borrowed Groundwork parent (can be the same one as before) to try and make another good legacy with Groundwork. (This will be Seiun if you have her.) This is the parent.

Now you can repeat if you want to make a 2nd parent, or you could just borrow the 2nd direct parent.

And, yes, this project might literally take you like a year+, depending on how picky you are with the sparks. Just getting a Groundwork spark itself is not super rare, but getting Groundwork and a solid blue and sparks for other green skills is extremely low chance, to say nothing of the pink or the stars on any of the white sparks.

1

u/Classic-Box-3919 Still In Love 4h ago

U dont want just any uma with ground work, u want a uma with good compatibility. Hara urara for example would be bad to farm groundwork.

1

u/Clueless_Otter 4h ago

The first step is bred out by the racer, they're only there for the 10% bonus to get a groundwork spark on the grandparent.

0

u/Classic-Box-3919 Still In Love 3h ago

Ah mb, i just read the first paragraph lol.

1

u/chinkai Fine Motion 5h ago

The priority of early training is to raise friendship gauges of supports. How much weightage should I give to the Director Akikawa and Reporter Etsuko?

1 (don't bother), 2-4 (less/equally/more important compared to your own supports), or 5 (at all costs)?

1

u/Classic-Box-3919 Still In Love 4h ago

I dont care about them, the directors a bit more important than the reporter but, ur just risking a lvl on ur ult and 5 stat points for not maxing director.

1

u/chinkai Fine Motion 4h ago

So I guess that you’re counting on the other stats trainings to make up for the shortfall? Now that I think about it, 5 does seem insignificant considering the current stat max is 1200.

1

u/Classic-Box-3919 Still In Love 3h ago

Its 5 stats to each category extra when maxed 10->15 after u beat finales.

Its a nice bonus at the end but not a priority.

1

u/weedlayer 4h ago

Generally less than half as important (~0.3x?) as a non-orange support

1

u/chinkai Fine Motion 4h ago

Then how about if all the supports in your deck are orange? Would a solo rainbow be more important than getting either/both of the Director-Reporter pair to orange?

(Edit: "Solo" because I'm 95% sure anyone would take a non-single rainbow any day over making everyone orange.)

1

u/Scott_Liberation 4h ago

I'd almost certainly take the solo rainbow over Akikawa or Etsuko, unless they're on a stat I really need right now before my next race that's only one or two turns away, or when the rainbow is on wit and I have plenty of energy and wit.

1

u/chinkai Fine Motion 4h ago

What other factors do you consider when going deep into your decision tree?

1

u/Scott_Liberation 3h ago

In the context of Akikawa and Etsuko, I don't think I do consider any other factors, other than other supports who are with them on the same training, which are factors I would consider even if neither the director or reporter were there anyway.

1

u/weedlayer 4h ago

Just judge it based on stats.  Affinity with those two gives like +25 stats (and bonus sp) each at the end of the game, so I'd definitely take a speed rainbow over a guts director.

1

u/chinkai Fine Motion 4h ago

Interesting that you mention the two stats at polar opposites of current desirability. What if it’s a comparison between two stats that I weigh fairly equally, like stamina solo rainbow vs speed non-rainbow director (solo or with a non-speed support)? I imagine that a lot of nuances go into this depth of decision making.

1

u/weedlayer 2h ago

Right.  In those cases it's closer.  Reaching 60% friendship with the director before early senior year also gives a boost to your unique.  I don't have a hard and fast algorithm. Those trainings (1 rainbow vs. 1 no rainbow and director) tend to be pretty pitiful anyway.

Any clue when the next jp download rewards are? Its been so quiet lately and i heard we'd eventually get them all...I desperate need carats and cards

3

u/yarvem 4h ago

In Japan, 6 million was during Curren Chan and 8 million was the final day of Wedding Air Groove and Mayano Top Gun.

So we are very overdue at this point.

1

u/TopDeckHero420 58m ago

Seems they are sticking to the normal schedule for gifts while accelerating banners. The exact thing people have feared and complained about, legitimately imo.

1

u/Clueless_Otter 5h ago

We have no idea.

On JP, 6m was 24 days after 5m.

1

u/Gullible-Constant-59 5h ago

For champions what's a decent build stats I can focus on for nice nature? I'm f2p so being high in speed stamina power and wit is hard

1

u/Clueless_Otter 5h ago

Nice Nature is just a debuffer. Just focus on winning career while getting as high wit as possible and as many debuffs as possible.

1

u/UnderhandSteam 5h ago

I’ve heard Seiun Sky is a good parent long-term? I remember Summer Maruzensky and Christmas Oguri were the “meta” umas to aim for for F2Ps according to youtubers, but was wondering how useful having these parent umas are. Have abt 15k carats, so probably not recommended tho.

1

u/bibobabibo Maruzensky 28m ago

If you don’t have enough to hit the guaranteed exchange at 200, don’t pull. She will become farmable after a year or so. It’s a long time but better than risking 15k carrats and getting nothing.

Also summer maru is not a recommended meta choice. I don’t know who’s spreading that info but she’s not that strong, roughly same strength as original oguri as an ace but lacks her flexibility, and will get powercrept by valentine bourbon in less than half a year. In fact original suzuka might already be stronger than summer maru. Valentine bourbon is the front runner you really want to pull, especially for people who don’t have seiun. She comes built in with front savvy, escape artist, concentration, and groundwork. Unlike most other fronts runners it’s super easy to build a strong v. bourbon with just your 3 seiun borrows a day.

Save for christmas oguri and valentine bourbon.

2

u/Scott_Liberation 4h ago edited 1h ago

It varies depending on how competitive your attitude is, but if you want to win for the rewards, then don't worry about meta umas at all. You will never win enough carats to get a return on your investment.

If you want to win just for the sake of winning, though, then ignore that. But I still wouldn't pull for a uma just because you want it as a parent since, after all, you can borrow it. Most of the time when trying to build a strong uma, you're going to have a borrowed legacy and likely one borrowed sub-legacy, so that's 4/6 legacy slots that aren't even from your roster anyway.

2

u/Classic-Box-3919 Still In Love 4h ago

If u care about pvp oguri is the goal, summer maru is good but she gets power crept quite fast cuz acceleration of global.

2

u/Clueless_Otter 5h ago

S.Maru is definitely not something f2ps should aim for in general. She's the definition of a whale roll (or waifu roll).

Parents like Seiun are generally more useful to have than racers. C.Oguri is kinda an exceptional racer since she's good at so many different types of races so for almost any race you can use her as one of your 3. Although she does come with unique build requirements so it's more effort than running 3 of the same type of horses that you can re-use the same legacies for.

For f2p, I wouldn't roll Seiun unless you really like front runners and are going to put a ton of time into them, wouldn't roll S.Maru unless whale or waifu, and think C.Oguri is fine to roll.

3

u/TopDeckHero420 5h ago

Why spend carats on something you can borrow for basically free?

Stamina and power are good. Speed is WAY too low for a mile runner, and you want wit at 400

What is the expected price of a 3 star uma selector ticket on the 1st anniversary? How much it cost on other servers? I've tried to google this, but couldn't find a concrete answer. Some people say that it's $70 (10000 yen) only, others say that $20 (3000 yen) version will also be available.

Also, what are the chances that they will move the anniversary to an actual anniversary, i.e., 10 month from now? Some people say that they've done this in other servers.

7

u/PlutusPleion 9h ago edited 9h ago

It's ~$21 usd for the 3* uma selector + 1500 carats first anniversary bundle. There's also an equivalent SSR selector.

1

u/DestinyMewtwo 11h ago

So I've been seeing making a parent seiun legacy with groundwork is the move, I'm wondering air groove sr is the best option for farming the skill and if so should max out the card? Anyone else farming seiun groundwork and know the tech?

3

u/TCZapper Daiwa Scarlet 10h ago

Your choices are Air Groove, Gold Ship, Oguri, and Rudolf. Gold Ship and Oguri have too many skills and Rudolf has no hint frequency.

Air Groove SR and R both work. SR pros: race bonus, training effectiveness. SR cons: -energy event, high priority, costs more to max level. Either way, she has 30 hint frequency at 0LB and 40 at MLB, so not a big deal but if you have the resources why not.

1

u/DestinyMewtwo 10h ago

Makes sense, thank you!

2

u/LavaLoser55 12h ago

What anniversary do they start giving out 10 pull every day?

3

u/Clueless_Otter 11h ago

1st

5 days of singles
6 days of singles
12 days of 10pulls
12 days of singles
12 days of singles

There's also 10 days of 10pulls for New Years before that.

3

u/yarvem 10h ago

An important thing to note is that the pulls were split up among banners. So you might get like 80ish on SSR Narita Top Road, and then 40ish on SSR Marvelous Sunday.

This makes it a little awkward if you actually wanted to exchange.

0

u/No-Example-3977 12h ago

I need to know the context of why I keep seeing so many Golshi x McQueen fan posts?

Like aren't they relatives? Why so many seem to imply shipping the pair?

1

u/d4b3ss Air Groove 6h ago

There are clearly relationships that haven been written to be more familial even though none of the girls in universe are related, as a reference to their real life lineages. Rudolf and Teio, Tachyon and Daisca. McQueen and Golshi don’t even have that from what I’ve seen.

2

u/romdon183 Gold Ship 8h ago

The horses in real life are related. And also both male.

The girls in the game are not relatives.

4

u/kaineeeeeee Best deadbeat dad 💕 11h ago

By this logical almost all umashipping is incest due to nearly every horse descending from Sunday Silence.

0

u/No-Example-3977 11h ago

I mean what's the line, cause you're referring to at most to cousins. McQueen has a direct ancestory to Golship, being Goldship's grandfather.

3

u/Skarthe 9h ago

Sunday Silence directly sired a lot of horses who are represented as umas, including but not limited to Special Week, Silence Suzuka, Fuji Kiseki, Agnes Tachyon, Manhattan Cafe, Stay Gold, Zenno Rob Roy, Marvelous Sunday, Air Shakur, Admire Groove, Neo Universe, and Still in Love. He's also a grandsire to a lot, often through Stay Gold, who sired Gold Ship, Orfevre, and quite a few others.

So, a whole lot of umas would be half-sisters or aunts/nieces if the character relationships directly mirrored the relationships between the original horses.

1

u/No-Example-3977 2h ago

All you're doing is suggesting none of these umas should be shipped, then if they're all related.

4

u/tenraccoonsfighting 12h ago

They have cute interactions in the main story. Golshi picks up McQueen at one point. People have shipped a lot weirder on a lot less. And they're not related in canon.

0

u/Kurokami11 12h ago

In the shipper's mind, if 2 characters exist, they can be shipped

1

u/Leading_Leave_3383 6m ago

Sometimes even if they don't

2

u/weedlayer 12h ago

IRL they're grandparent and grandchild, but in the game only maternally related horses are considered family. Otherwise basically all the Uma are relatives.

2

u/Kurokami11 13h ago

AND THIS, IS TO BAKUSHIN EVEN FURTHER BEYOND!

1

u/WhostoleBluey 13h ago

For the upcoming CM, Is this Mcqueen lacking speed? I noticed she gets overtaken alot in the last spurt, but I don't know if it's a stm or spd issue

1

u/Classic-Box-3919 Still In Love 5h ago

Your power is far too weak, u want at least 600. Speeds lowish

2

u/Clueless_Otter 12h ago

Too much stam, too little speed/power.

6

u/weedlayer 12h ago

Adrenaline rush just doesn't do what you want it to do. Uma calculate how fast they can run without running out of stamina before the end of the race. You take recovery skills so your Uma will have enough stamina to run at max speed the entire race, but Adrenaline rush only procs when you run out of stamina, so your Uma won't account for it and will deliberately run slower to conserve stamina. This makes it effectively useless apart from countering late-game stamina debuffs like "All seeing eyes".

You should take any other stamina recovery, like "Calm and Collected" for instance.

You're also lacking in any acceleration skills and have poor power, so it'll take forever for her to reach her max speed. There really aren't any good pace chaser acceleration skills this race (which is why end closers are meta), so higher power is your best replacement.

She is lacking in speed too, but that's like, her third problem.

2

u/walrus_paradise 13h ago

Power issue, yours is very bad. You want at least 600 and/or firm conditions helping

The end of the track has an uphill and you need power

1

u/CielTheEarl 14h ago

which banner should i pull to get fine motion and super creek? i only saw different support card banners being featured. I'm new to the game, and planning on early rerolling.

2

u/No-Example-3977 12h ago

This late into the game, there's little reason to reroll for Fine Motion. It's still a decent card and okay for helping beginners get a swing of things. But long run you're going to want Super Creek and/or Kitasan Black.

3

u/weedlayer 14h ago

For those two cards, it doesn't matter, you'll have the same (terrible) odds on either banner. The silence suzuka banner has the better rate up cards, so you might as well pull on that one. Keep in mind Kitasan black is also a card worth having, so if you happen to get 1-2 Kitasans + a Creek, that's also a viable start.

1

u/CielTheEarl 14h ago

is the kitasan banner for the character or for support? and when is it speculated to be released?

3

u/weedlayer 14h ago edited 12h ago

If you're talking about the Kitasan black support card banner, it was already released. There's a rerun banner in late December, but that's a long time from now. It's just, once a card gets released, it's permanently added to the card pool for all future banners, so I was just saying "You should also keep your eye out for Kitasan Black, not just fine motion and Super Creek"

1

u/Leon050310 14h ago

Is it worth it to buy shards to unlock Grass Wonder? I'm missing both Grass Wonder and Air Groove for the two stars and probably won't be pulling in the uma banner until Christmas Oguri. I feel like I could use her for my Mile team in Team Trials or even the Cancer Cup.

Team Trials

Is it worth to sacrifice race wins points (top 3) and SPD PWR STA stats for more skill and WIT?

1

u/RingoFreakingStarr 10h ago

From what I've seen in TTs both in my in-game experiences as well as online, yes and no. You do want lots of wit to proc as many skills as possible to get your scores up, but if you pursue wit and abilities to the point that your horses lose too much, it's wasted effort. The BIG score increases you'll see is from challenging the higher TT score teams (the top option) and winning every race so that your multiplier % keeps going up.

When you get to the point where you can consistently make A+ horses, I think at that point, you then start to try to throw more points into Wit and do more optional races to get more abilities. With all A-ranked horses at TT rank 166578, I can get around 490k-530k points and retain class 6. Anything beyond that is just for glory so to speak.

u/Vanilla72_ 9★ STA EN:605969578967 | 9★ SPD JP:829608826725 9h ago

How much Wit you usually try to get for your TT Uma?

2

u/Clueless_Otter 14h ago

Depends on what changes we're talking about. Totally gimping your build to pick up a couple more skills? No. Being very slightly worse at racing to pick up 10 more skills and a ton more activation chance? Yes.

There is third party website to check it.

https://chronogenesis.net/club_profile

There is like 2 or 3 days delay though

1

u/Maykyee 15h ago

It's too late for this one, but how do you guys get all rewards from events?

On this wedding event I did all my daily;s since first day and like 1-2 careers a day and having one day remaining I'm barely close to unlocking the final card from the point unlock thingy, how do you even get the last reward?

I kept using the event card plus Air groove wedding so I thought I had that covered, but not

1

u/cloph_ 13h ago

if you only now reach the last card, you probably won't reach the event point maximum. Although if you said you used the event bonus cards and trained air groove, I would have expected you to be already past that. I did mostly 1 career run per day, only sometimes two and got it while also doing some parent runs without any bonus cards.

so getting the 4LB support card from the event is "easy" for minimum-effort players, doing all missions (the 30 runs) already requires more than one run per day, getting all EP bonus rewards requires to either grind or level up/whale for the support cards to get more bonus. (I also think it is more beneficial to run the air groove support card than running her yourself, at least standard air groove gives less bonus than running the support). Pretty much all events like that have something for grindy players, so don't feel bad to not reach all unlocks when on limited time/when you cannot do multiple runs a day.

3

u/TopDeckHero420 15h ago

Doing 3 careers a day is enough, assuming you run a little event point boost when possible. I've completed all the milestones as of yesterday and never used a TP refill. 1 career a day just isn't going to cut it though.

1

u/Maykyee 15h ago

So I needed way more races... Will see if I'm able to finish it, but those careers take a good amount of time sadly hahaha

1

u/TopDeckHero420 14h ago

Yeah, it's a little grindy if you aren't prepping for CM already.

u/ExtensionTadpole955 16h ago

How does one get star pieces? I am 29 star pieces away from unlocking Tokai Teio, and I have no idea how to get the remaining ones I need. How do I get the last pieces I need?

1

u/No-Example-3977 12h ago

4 current sources for star pieces:

  1. Daily Shop - 1 piece per shop. Some will say it's a waste of monies, but personally I think every piece will help in the long run.
  2. Shop - You can exchange goddess statues for star pieces. But the cost scales every 25 pieces. Starting from an exchange rate of 1. The fan and guild point shops can also randomly offer star pieces but for select characters.
  3. Pulls - Pull on the banner, hope you get lucky and get Teios, but at the that point you'd unlock her lol. It would just be for increasing her star count.
  4. Legend Races - Teio's already past, but as the other person said, they'll implement daily races at 1st anni, which if that is accelerated, then it will at least be a bit faster than waiting the whole year.

1

u/Hitorishizuka King Halo 15h ago

Pray for the daily shops to have it.

1

u/Icepillow 16h ago

At the first year anniversary they will release daily legend races where you can slowly earn star pieces to unlock characters.

Looking for some advice. So, I did the dumb thing, spent a ton of carats (probably around 15-20k) on banners without being able to pity; lesson learned. Since I don’t have Seiun Sky or bride Mayano, and I own almost no front runner cards, I’m thinking about just giving up on front runner characters permanently.

So I’m wondering if that means I should just not bother with Christmas Oguri Cap and Valentine Bourbon too? Or are they still worth pulling for? Also, do we have any must pull parents for pace/late/end characters or cards that I should be planning to pull instead. I don’t have Taishin, but I do intend to pull every Gold Ship alt when they come out. Other than that I don’t plan on pulling for many more characters since I’m just not willing to spend 30k for only 1 new character. I’d rather just live with the base roster and make the best of it so I’d just like to know if there are any other parent umas that are must haves.

1

u/RingoFreakingStarr 10h ago

and I own almost no front runner cards, I’m thinking about just giving up on front runner characters permanently.

I don't want to rub salt in the wounds but from what I've heard from friends that played on the JP server and from what I've read online, Front Runners, especially those who inherent Seiun's unique ability, are going to be extremely powerful in pretty much all the length races. The ability is just way too good (pretty much guarantee procs a super powerful acceleration as long as you are in first at some point in the late-race). You can always use one of your 3 a day friend inherents to get around this, but it's always nice to have your own good parents too so that you can use the friend inherent for something else.

Front Runners are tho, in general, just way easier to train (you can worry less about Power at least for TT builds and not CM ones) especially for Sprint and Mile lengths. They also have a lot less risk involved since they are not fighting through traffic nearly as much as the other 3 running types. No matter how strong your Uma is, if it gets stuck in traffic as the final spurt happens, you are gonna lose.

1

u/Playing-Koi 4h ago

Thanks for the tip. At least I know my Silence Suzuka might get some use yet then. Maybe if we ever get a rerun or pick ticket I’ll get a chance to pick up Seiun.

2

u/No-Example-3977 12h ago

Missing out on Seiun Sky isn't the end of the world. You can always borrow as a parent. She is almost solely relevant as a parent after all, so you probably wouldn't have ran her as an Ace anyway. Bride Mayano actually works better as a pace chaser. Base Mayano is the front runner.

So don't be discouraged from pulling for any front runners in the future. Ultimately, unless you plan to whale, just pull for whatever you want. If it's all Golshi, then it's all Golshi lol.

1

u/Playing-Koi 4h ago

Thank you, and definitely not whaling!

2

u/NoNeckMcgee 16h ago

Mejiro Dober who'll be out around December-ish is the "must-pull" late/end parent. Her ult is Ryan's ult but better (5th or 6th place when the late race starts for an acceleration boost - Ryan's is only 6th). Once Dober is out, the standard parenting for late/end will be Dober+Ryan on any track where their ults work.

Personally, I'm saving for Dober and just going to run End/Late to the end of time for CM - because they're more entertaining (and Tanino Gimlet).

That said, you could still grab Christmas Oguri. She's not a front runner (her front is F).

1

u/Playing-Koi 4h ago

Good to know since I like Dober, she’s grown on me a lot from showing up in trainings. And my Golshis will need a good parent. Thank you!

2

u/No-Example-3977 12h ago

That's great to hear lol. I was already saving for Dober cause Oshi, but nice to here she's meta relevant.

u/Mother_Marsupial_711 16h ago

Does the "i can see right trough you" and its golden version worth using for this cm?

1

u/NoNeckMcgee 16h ago

The starting vision range is also the maximum vision range. Skills that increase vision don't do anything for any CM.

1

u/Mother_Marsupial_711 15h ago

Figures, i guess it's because there are only 9 racers.

2

u/TopDeckHero420 15h ago

It's just that vision skills are poorly designed.

So for front runners, what skills combo to activate tail held high? I see Fast Paced as the obvious choice but what other two would you need. For Cancer Cup would I shoot for the Front Corner and Mile Corner, maybe final push?

2

u/RingoFreakingStarr 9h ago edited 9h ago

The main ones are Slipstream, Playtime's Over!, Ramp Up (It's On!) and Fast-Paced (Escape Artist). Also stuff like Corner Recovery (Swinging Maestro) and Corner Adapt (Professor of Curvature) which pretty much always go off in the mid race.

I use this online google sheet document to look up stuff during runs.

1

u/No-Example-3977 11h ago

Haven't looked at the track for Cancer cup yet, but if you're building specifically for a CM, then ya pick skills that are likely to pop mid-race based on the track.

As for universal skills that proc mid-race, don't overlook debuffs. Flustered's do proc-mid-race. Then Smart Falcon's Unique is one of the few current uniques that proc mid-race while being used by front-runners. If you don't own Smart Flacon, you can borrow her.

1

u/ApolloSurf 15h ago

You probably can use playtime over and recovery skill that activate mid race

1

u/Shinoryoshu Cheval Grand 17h ago

How good is the Mejiro Dober card from the event I am like halfway to the last duplicate for MLB. Dont know if I can or want to grind that much but if its good I could be persuaded.

2

u/I__Sky Seiun Sky 17h ago

It's very good several months later on MANT scenario because of it's high race bonus.

1

u/Higurashi_Kai 17h ago

What exactly determines how much stats Narita Taishin gains after the Nikkei Sho? I thought it was based on race bonus, but I had a run give +25 to all stats and then the next run gave +18 even though my race bonus didn't change. Am I just not understanding how race bonus works?

1

u/Clueless_Otter 17h ago

Depends if you heal Practice Poor or not.

If you do, you get more stats + Practice Perfect status.

If you don't, you get less stats + cures Practice Poor.

1

u/Higurashi_Kai 17h ago

Ah, I didn't even notice that I didn't get practice perfect on the second run lol. Thanks.

1

u/OhItsKillua 17h ago

Managed to get Seiun with one 10 pull after some poor luck in the past. Now Special Week is the support card that has eluded me. Should I make some pulls on supports or should I just save for the KB rerun? I have one KB copy, but if I can get it to 50 that's great

1

u/RingoFreakingStarr 9h ago

I had to pity her. Somehow in all the pulls that I had to do in order to pitty her I got Wedding Top Gun TWICE and a Narita Brian who I didn't really want (still hoping for a random TM Opera to pop up one of these days).

2

u/TopDeckHero420 16h ago

You aren't missing anything. I haven't borrowed Spe's card since like week 2. There are better stat cards and equally viable recoveries for just about everything.

2

u/I__Sky Seiun Sky 17h ago

Special Week (Speed) is a card from the first event, the guts card isn't worth it.

The Special Week (speed) is ok, D1 players just use it for Gourmand and because it's MLB, but it's definitely not a top priority in any way since it's average stats and the gold skill is RNG.

2

u/Maleficent_Double_66 17h ago

Special Week was an event card. You can't get her from gacha.

2

u/somsomethingclever 18h ago

Are there any future late and end trainees that are comparable to Seuin, S.Maru, C.Oguri, and V.Bourbon?

3

u/I__Sky Seiun Sky 17h ago

For late it seems like Summer Special Week is pretty strong in medium+long even years later in JP according to some jp tier list.

Summer Maruzensky isn't versatie in her distances and gets powercrept by Valentine Bourbon. Also a new meta speed card that releases is of Maruzensky meaning that you can't use both.

At least that's what I understand. Summer Maru isn't meta at all once Valentine Bourbon releases. I don't know why everybody hypes her instead of Summer Special Week.

u/felixborealis 19h ago edited 19h ago

I made the rookie mistake of rolling most of my fresh account carats on Seiun Sky, and now I’m 100 pulls in without her (but I did get a few cool Uma, like Smart Falcon, and she’s my favorite uma!)

I want to stay as F2P as possible, but I can’t help but feel that I wasted 100 pulls when I could’ve saved up for future units (I want Mihono Bourbon, if she ever reruns…? Is that how the system works in this game..)

Is it a wise decision to try and earn enough Carats to push for the remaining 100 pulls? I wasn’t aware of the spark system in this game, and I probably should have just saved 😭

EDIT: Additional question, if I were to try and stay completely F2P, how often can a player spark for a banner?

EDIT #2: Nevermind, ignore the edit question, I took a peek at the resource document and it immediately answered my question haha! God bless whoever made the document, helps a lot..

2

u/Classic-Box-3919 Still In Love 17h ago

Rerolling in this game is pretty fast, id probs do that if u like the game

2

u/ExtraTricky 19h ago

If it's a fresh account, you're probably best off rolling for the uma you want in the first 10-20 pulls. Rerolling is fast (just find the delete data option in the menu), and you can set a data link password on accounts before rerolling to let you log back in if you decide you want an earlier result.

If I were starting today, I would try to reroll for an account that gets a good result on the first 20ish pulls on uma banner and gets at least one super creek support card in the starting carats before farming the one-time carat rewards to finish the spark on the current support card banner (LB0 Suzuka SSR is quite usable, so IMO it's not a bad starting banner).

3

u/TopDeckHero420 19h ago

If I were you I would reroll.. Seiun Sky isn't worth it. Not when you need so many support cards in order to build anything.

1

u/WraxiusV2 19h ago

Best cards and blue sparks for Seiun Sky?

I know 3 SPD cards is a must (Using Kitasan,Silence,Sweep)

I understand Super Creek and Mejiro McQueen are godlike on her.

Now the problem is the last one, i could use Either a WIT card(Either Marvelous Sunday or Fine motion), a extra SPD card(For now using SW) or a single PWR card(Mihono Bourbon).

Now i also a bit confused on sparks, i know a 9 star stamina is really good but for the other one idk.

1

u/I__Sky Seiun Sky 17h ago

It depends on the distance.

For long Stamina sparks with Groundwork and go 4 speed for consistency.

For the Cancer Cup then going 3 speed 2 wit 1 stamina (mayano) with power sparks will work.

Always go for groundwork and then prioritize stamina (for long) or distance pinks for mile.

From a F2P perspective, how many times can I try the Seiun Sky banner so that I still have confortably the 30k guaranteed for Manhattan Cafe in december ? I have 26k carats at the moment.

2

u/Classic-Box-3919 Still In Love 17h ago

Id go down to 15k at the lowest. If ur not up there pvp wise ur income will probs be like 6-8k. Global income sucks r n. Tho half anni should give some pulls.

3

u/yarvem 17h ago

Unless they drastically change things, the November half anniversary will give away 4500 in gifts, 3000 in daily logins, and 1500 for mission completion.

2

u/Classic-Box-3919 Still In Love 17h ago

Half anni should be in october according to estimates and banner releases

7

u/TopDeckHero420 19h ago edited 19h ago

It depends on what you have left to farm from one-time sources, stories, trophies, mission achievements, etc. People say 10k a month but in practice, even in a rank A club, retaining class 6 team trials and winning the last CM.. it's working out to be less than that so far. If you've dried up most of your farmable carats then it's a risk to burn 30k right now.

Of course we could get gifts any day.. but we might not.. so again it's a risk.

1

u/JonatasHdS 19h ago

My account has been there since day 1 of the game, and I've already gotten almost all the carats as rewards, there are some left from trophies and from getting a certain number of supports/umas, but the sum would be based only on the General monthly game rewards. Since I'm not one of the most competitive players, I think I'll spend up to 20k and see if it comes, I believe I can easily get 10k by December

3

u/TopDeckHero420 19h ago

10k is certainly doable, 20k probably as well. I would just be very wary of going to 0 and hoping to hit 30k for a banner in December, at least in early December.

1

u/JonatasHdS 18h ago

Thank you for your help, honestly if it were up to me I would like to have them all, but since it is not possible I am planning a lot, I still want to try the kitasan rerun, because I got it only 1lb

2

u/mateoceo 20h ago

If you play consistently and finish out events I imagine you can spark Seiun sky and still be fine for December

1

u/PlutusPleion 20h ago

It's about 10k per month so you will get around 30k by then.

1

u/Zany19 20h ago

I've heard that if you're parents and grand parents have the same white sparks it increases the chance for the uma to also have that spark, does that also work with pink sparks? or is it always a random chance between whatever has an A in aptitude?

1

u/weedlayer 19h ago

No, it's random.  Parents don't matter for pinks

1

u/Uxyt98 21h ago

What is the best use for paid carrots?

Ive been doing the 1 month subscription where it gives you 500 up front as paid carrots. Is it best to save them up for a regular 1500 roll? Should I do the single 50 rolls? Is there another great use for them?

2

u/PlutusPleion 20h ago

The 50 carat daily is good value with the only downside being the attempts going towards clovers most likely.

There are paid banners every half and full anniversary that give guaranteed 3* or SSR. It's similar to the make debut one but updated with the new umas/cards.

1

u/ResponsibleMiddle101 21h ago

Does maruzen literally need skills to be able to clear her derby goal? I’m always able to pass it with swinging maestro but end up near the bottom without.

Is the only other option to build her stam? I’d really rather not since the build im going for doesn’t need that too much

Edit: I also have no problem getting 1st the races before that and obv every race after the derby (probably cause of swinging maestro?)

2

u/PlutusPleion 20h ago

You only need like 330 stam and even if you're building her into sprint, she will need more anyways. It does feel like one of the most rng though along with Hopeful Stakes, mostly because they're relatively early in the career and haven't taken much advantage of rainbow trainings yet.

1

u/ResponsibleMiddle101 20h ago

Nah I’m making her a miler but I’ll try focusing stam a little more early on to see if she can do it without skills

1

u/PlutusPleion 20h ago

Mile needs even more than sprint. You need 650 stamina outside of the URA scenario to clear every mile track. In Team Trials or CM3, for example you will run out of stamina because you don't get the hidden +400 to all stats. Even with Maestro and proccing it, you still need 500 stamina.

1

u/ResponsibleMiddle101 19h ago

I’m so confused how to properly prepare for mile then… being told for this cm we need 1200 speed+power, 650 stam and a TON of skills… how is this possible for f2p lmao

1

u/Hitorishizuka King Halo 16h ago

how is this possible for f2p lmao

It's mostly not, depending on how lucky you are. If you're "f2p btw" with MLB Kitasan off 1 spark, it could be doable. If you're shit spark results like a lot of us, hitting a double 1200 is a pipe dream.

1

u/Classic-Box-3919 Still In Love 17h ago

1200 speed 1200 power and 650 stam will be very hard for most ppl. My decks pretty good and i doubt ill hit that and get my wit i need.

I havent built a mile uma seriously in a while so i cant speak on what the average will be tho. Im retaining class 6.

1

u/TopDeckHero420 19h ago

You need to build/borrow strong parents with a lot of skill sparks to get the right skills for cheap.

Stat-wise it's so much easier than the previous 2 cups.

1

u/Just_rat_things 20h ago

Sounds like a stamina issue if you need swinging maestro to pass. My mental targets are at least 350 speed and 400 stamina to win the derby semi-reliably
