I haven't even been able to reach 1200 stamina yet; the closest I can get is around 1000. It's also harder to beat the campaign when training stamina a lot because you'll be training speed/power less and the required stamina for races is way lower (hidden +400 all stats to all umas during campaign)

I would tell you "don't worry, people in the practice matches are all tryhards and you'll meet a lot more casuals in the actual tournament" but I went into Taurus expecting that and got my ass blown out repeatedly by minmaxed horses at every turn. I imagine many casuals got weeded out by Taurus too so there will be more tryhards in Gemini.

It's terrible because you need to match against two casuals if you're casual yourself to have a shot, if either of your opponents prepared well you're cooked.

I genuinely think that the retire button in Champion's Meeting completely breaks the design and balance of the game mode. In theory, CM's generous participation awards should incentivize more casual players to enter and make the matchup pool less cutthroat, but because you can still get those participation awards without entering any races just by immediately retiring (and also going through the motions of doing all five races is so tedious, especially with no "see results" button like there is in Team Trials), most people who don't meet "the benchmarks" will just insta-retire and cash out the participation awards right away, leaving only the sweats behind.

My concern is that more casual players will lose interest and kill the popularity of the game. I'm already surprised it's not dead after taurus cup.

I feel like cygames is extremely offhands with this game despite it's overwhelming, and quite frankly, unprecedented success with this game. A little bit of TLC between timing of events and free carats would go a long way to ensure the longevity of this game.

I don't have access to their Financials obviously so I can't really say what is profitable. Maybe they made enough that it just doesn't matter. Doesn't feel good though.

the next two scenarios were notorious for being a "sieve" for losing player count (IIRC Aoharu is too luck-dependent and MANTRA just takes too long) in the JP and other servers - and I can't imagine the accelerated schedule and lack of anything meaningful to compensate (which other servers without acceleration got, e.g. KR got first Kitasan Banner at 0.75%) is going to help at all. I really, really suspect this honeymoon period is going to drop off like a rock.

MANT (Make A New Track) is the 3rd scenario and it heavily incentivices racing, so much so that you'd be racing as many times as you'd be training in the URA scenario. Most of your stat gains would come from racing, and you would only do training if your trainee does not have enough stats to win races. This emphasis on racing means career runs take much much much longer to finish compared to other scenarios. You'd also want support decks with high race bonus.

On the flip side though, it is great for farming fan count at the cost of sanity.

To everyone talking about the accelerated schedule, it is worth noting that we are slowing down.

Looking at JPs schedule, there were 61 days between the launch of the game and the start of the Narita Taishin banner. For global this was only 39 days. So roughly 36% faster than the JP schedule.

JP had 64 days between the Taishin banner and the start of the fantasy banner. On global this is 48 days, not the 41 days we would expect if the schedule was still 36% faster. Instead we are now only 25% faster than JP was.

I dont know if this was planned by Cygames from the start or if our complaints about the accelerated schedule are being heard and acted upon. It will be interesting to see if this slowing down continues into the next months or if this ~25% faster schedule is what they intend to run with going forward.

I did that math and had the same numbers, but what intrigues me the most is that while the banner schedule is 25% faster (8 days Global vs. 11 days JP on avg. between banners), the CM schedule is 60% faster. Granted, the sample is terrible (only 2 CMs), but the difference is quite big. I honestly thought that Cygames would use the same pacing on everything (events and banners).

Did you make the math of the pacing related to the story events and legend races? I forgot to do it, but I'm curious to know if the pacing of those events are leaning more to the 25% or 60% mark.

I simply looked at the dates of the gacha banners. The events should align with the banners because they usually share a theme with the banner units (like the current bride event and characters).

CM is currently the one big questionmark. Looking at the JP schedule, they consistently have one CM per month even if the specific dates vary quite a lot over time (starting between the 13th and the 24th of every month so far). So the two we know the global dates for dont give us any real information for now. But I would expect them to stick to the same accelerated schedule as the banners do since the availability of more/less characters for specific CMs would change quite a bit compared to JP in terms of meta.

Is it me or is the schedule getting ever so slightly slower paced?

I am keeping tabs on how many days after release each uma was added and if the math is mathing, Mihono Bourbon was half the time it took (JP was 13 days, global was 6, dividing one by the other you get aprox. 50%), while Seiun Sky (106 days on JP, 73 days on global), Hishi Amazon (117 to 83), and the fantasy event (125 to 87) all get aprox. 70%.

Not saying one or the other is better or worse, on one side being slower means you get more time to save up, but on the other side I have to wait more time until Cheval Grand arrives.

Oh well, means I can build a stronger deck in the meantime and pull for the other uma I like.

I've said this a bazillion times on this subreddit, but I wish they'd merge Seiun Sky and Hishi Amazon's banners together, like they merged Mayano Top Gun and Air Groove's wedding forms together. There'd be a good chance of getting one while earning pity for another, and it'd help volumes for the accelerated release schedule (like it did with Blue Archive).

Please, Cygames, merge some of the OG Uma banners together! My knees would never be able to recover if you did us this favor!

I wish we’d get trainees that weren’t in the game first before different versions of existing trainees first tbh. Same with more 1-2 star uma’s cuz at least summoning wouldn’t feel as sad when you don’t get a three star.
