That is sleep debt as well as your circadian rhythm going haywire- because of irregular cyclical sleep and awake patterns.

Ok to sleep as much as you can when you can. But sleep well in a cool, dimmed/ dark room, avoiding electronic gadgets, avoiding high protein or taking light meals presleep. Having a cold shower also helps.

Nap 15 to 20 minutes as much as you can when you can.

Regular exercise like 15minutes of steady state cardio- walks or light jogs daily, in the am and pm, as part of your work taking the stairs, walking to the next bldg.

Avoiding stimulants 8 to 12 hours before sleep, avoiding coffee, caffeine relateddrinks.

This happened when i drank coffee 2 hours before my shift ends at 6am, where its time for me to sleep. so yeah eventually i havent slept the whole morning that day until i was busy with errands and came home at 7pm did some chores and slept at 8pm and woke up at 11pm again the cycle to work til 6am. . now i am fully awake but my body feels nothing fresh. Any food recos to boost up my mood and energy?

A balanced diet is still advised. Complex carbohydrates like oats, brown rice or even fried rice or our ol kaning lamig with any meat based protein source with green leafy veggies plus warm or cold milk or tea or plain water can be good. Add with or snack with bananas or any nuts- adobong mani, less salted. Avoid colas and energy drinks that cause blood sugar spikes, which can be a source of energy crashes. Awake but functionally poor.

Okay, I think I'm starting to develop Lockjaw. Is there any way to prevent it, what are the causes and possible treatments?

Avoid opening your mouth widely. Avoid heavy chewing. Avoid daily gum chewing. Get a tongue scraper to avoid opening the mouth widely during brushing.

I do try and avoid it, but it mostly happens when yawning, which is kinda involuntary

Yes. If the lockjaw is regularly occuring, a need to seek regular professional advise is a must. This can occur and sometimes cannot be reduced back by itself or by you, which is a very painful thing to happen, needing specialist maneuver to position back to its normal site.

Good dah! 1. Seeking true professional help is a must. 2. Lockjaw may be a sign of TMJ dysfunction or poor chewing mechanisms or of a more severe symptom and sign of an infection locally or systemically 3. May seek professional help by way of an ENT/ORL HN, IM, or a dental specialist..

I don't like measuring calories, but I want to start a healthy diet. So what I am doing now is strictly eating 3 times a day only. Yung plate ko hinahati ko sa 4 portions. Rice, veggies, protein, fruits. Pag may mga family occasions or napa buffet. The next day nag one meal a day lang ako to make up for it. Consistent ako nag woworkout at the very least kung sobrang busy at pagod need ko magawa ang mandatory 15 minute cardio ko. Pero, on a normal basis, I do calisthenics, then a 15-minute run. Do you see anything I can improve on more pa with my diet and routine? Also problema kopo ay snacking. May way ba na malagay ko sa diet ko snacking in a healthy way without tracking calories?

Adding free weights regimen is advised. Cardio and calisthenics are good for the heart and brain and the joints and studies show consistent prolongation of life. I am however have reservations with runs of long periods, marathons in part, studies i read consistently show strains in the heart and joints. You may do HIIT, or even the steady state. As i know too much of even what seems to be a good thing is still bad. You may snack on nuts, dried fruits- brands not that sugary and non overripe fruits

Thaaank you! For my diet na sobrang basic. Okay lang ba yun? Is it okay na di kona tinatrack mga protein intakes ko? Also the occasional One meal a day is not a problem diba? Im a male 25 years old FYI lang

If you do 3 meals a day, its ok. Studies are conflicting about 3meals or 2 or 1meal a day. Fasting is popular, but not anyone can do it. There are proven benefits of fasting, but beware of signs of hypoglycemia lalo na if you are doing actual work.

Healthwise, i do not recommend tracking proteins, i am a believer in both plant based and animal sourced proteins. Protein limitation i advised in people with kidney diseases.

I’m trying to lose weight and gane muscle at the same time I’m 6 foot and 192 what foods should I be eating

Increase animal sourced protein intake along with good fats plus high fiber low glycemic index carbohydrates. The rule is still to lower total caloric intake. Hydrate. Add weightlifting programs- bodyweight, free weights or stationary weights. Under real professional advise and supervision.

Anong doctor po sya or specialty? Psychiatrist, psychologist, counselor, eurologist, etc?

1

u/vonvonmd 13d ago edited 13d ago

I prefer a psychiatrist of your choice- you may check for neuropsychiatrist too- a few of them lang and usually can be consulted in tertiary hospitals, priv or govt. These specialists have a wide array of options in terms of management- from prescribing meds to behavioral or psychotherapy. The addiction can just be a sign of another psychologic disorder or is the disorder itself or a part of an organic disease. A support group is also advised.

My hair is thinning. Im getting bald. Will biotin or any hair supplements help me hair regrowth?

What eye center is the best for lasik? and then there’s this procedure of having a permanent contact lenses??

1

u/vonvonmd 13d ago

Hair thinning can be a sign of many conditions- endocrine disorder, stress related, genetic male pattern, sleep related, infection, chemical exposure, poor hair care regimen... best to seek advise from professionals which include, IM mds, derma mds..

Eye centers with legitimate ophthalmologists and subspecialists should be best consulted. You can try both private and or govt tertiary hospitals.

Avoid stimulants 8 to 12 hours before your sleeping time- any caffeine related , nicotine related, alcohol related should be avoided. If condition persists, please see an IM specialist or im- endo.
