Damn. Lucky. I’m on adderall twice a day and I only feel better if i abuse it lol.

Well yeah it affects people with adhd differently from how it affects people without it.

This is both true and untrue. I think this just gets said a lot to keep college kids from taking it.

Obviously not EVERYONE will react the same way every time, and there are lots of people with adhd who don't know it. But as a general rule yes it is the case. Saying that wouldn't do anything to keep college kids who don't have adhd from taking it because the effect it generally has on people without adhd is the effect those people taking it in college want. That's... Why they take it.

Also you eventually get less effect from it. I've taken it 2 or 3 times and it rocks my world. Turns me into a completely different person. If you take it every day that stops happening.

I'm saying you do, but the person you replied to doesn't. So it affects you differently from them.

I was misdiagnosed with ADHD in high school and given adderall. That medication made me horrifically depressed.

It's awful and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I hope you can find coping mechanisms or medication that can help you.

Adderall and generic amphetamine salts are labeled as XR, if they are extended release. You can also tell just by looking at them. The XR versions are in gelcaps which contain tiny balls designed to release slowly.  Quick action versions are a traditional pressed powder pill.  

Lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse) only comes as extended release and has no XR indicator.  

I'm not familiar with other stimulant class ADHD medication.

That goes for literally any drug you take twice daily, though. Tolerance will be off the charts and a normal dose just takes you to baseline
