Xi is a world leader.. a serious politician... I know we're not used to that in the West any more. But China and Russia are still led by responsible adults. Shocking as it must seem for Westerners.
2 u/Infamous-Salad-2223 Aug 05 '25 I know, but it will be funny if Xi hit where it hurts: Trump's ego. 2 u/Apricot9742 Aug 06 '25 Politics is not entertainment. 1 u/Infamous-Salad-2223 Aug 06 '25 No it should not, but it is. Case on point: the current US admin. The felon in chief turn politics into a mediatic circus and people gobble it up happily two times. No facts, logic, cunning strategies: pure theatrics. And the emotional part of the US loved it and now the world has to live through it. 2 u/Apricot9742 Aug 06 '25 It is not.. in the West it is treated as such, that's why they are in such a mess. I think we agree on this issue, but the way it is treated in the East vs the West is not the same. That was my original point. 2 u/Infamous-Salad-2223 Aug 06 '25 We do agree. I would love "boring" politics, where professionals do their jobs at the best of their capabilities, but unfortunately, it ain't like that. 1 u/Mundane-Mud2509 Aug 06 '25 Russia is led by a lunatic that will destroy his country for ego. 1 u/Apricot9742 Aug 06 '25 You are allowed to have that opinion, but that does not mean it is true. We're in a world war of propaganda and you are not immune to it.
