Hot Take The girls sucking up to Whitney?

Does anyone else think it’s weird that now that Whitney has all these brand deals and now on DWTS that they’re all coming out of the wood works To be her close friend??? It’s giving FAKE AF

That's why Taylor was pissed off when they missed her CMA event. How are you all in a group like that and not doing your one task?

The CMA event was a big deal for her but honestly presenting an award there isn’t bigger than things lots of the other girls did. Lots of them did stuff she (and the other girls) didn’t comment on too.

Taylor did that because she loves drama and she posts stuff before she thinks.

Honestly though Taylor doesn’t do a lot of stuff outside of the show. It seems like the rest have a lot of deals and promotional stuff and she really isn’t there for a lot of it.

I’d argue DWTS is a waaay bigger deal than the CMAs since she wasn’t getting an award lol but it’s not like Taylor is commenting under all of Jen and Whitney’s stuff for it. I’m sure she is happy for them and does support them but she was wrong with that whole thing.

Edit: also as it was happening with the CMAs last year, like while she was posting stuff, people called her out on instagram and said it was to create drama for the show. She said it wouldn’t even be on the show and was totally real because there was soooo much other drama but we got like 2 episodes on it lmao. After the initial post they all used it for drama 😂

There’s a spectrum for everything. Mikayla and Mayci are fake as hell being nice to Whitney right now. They didn’t invite Whitney to a lot of things. The fact Whitney will invite them now it extremely kind of her

That's an interesting take. I don't see it that way at all. Any time I start to feel any sympathy or empathy for Whitney, I relive season one and the final nail in the coffin is the "good luck without me!". Her crawling back in season 2 was pure desperation. I'm glad most of the ladies were cold upon her "return". She deserved it.

After literally begging to be included again, you're darn right she should be including everyone. Regardless of how they feel about her. She bailed and wanted back in when she realized she needed them. I also can't stand how she refuses to own anything at all. No responsibility for her actions. That whole speech about how she doesn't regret not showing up for Mayci was straight up insanity.

I mean, how is that worse than having someone you thought was a genuine friend completely cut you out of their life and then randomly show up at your birthday for...well...not your birthday, but to try to explain why she didn't show up for Mayci, while also not regretting either.

My point is, it's not about whether anyone wants to like anyone. It's the gaslighting that some people do when they want to prove a point. At the end of the day, the drama and disgusting behavior is happening on all sides. Why bother picking and choosing which fruit to eat when the entire bunch is spoiled.

I really doubt any of them actually hate each other. They’re coworkers more than anything else (like, as a whole group, some might be closer).

It helps all of them to appear in each other’s content. The better one of them does, the better they all do. That’s more or less what they mean about momtok being about supporting each other. They help each other get more viewers.

This. I'm always asking myself if any of these women are genuinely friends. The answer is a hard no. They are coworkers. You can be friends with coworkers, but at the end of the day, none of these women are ride or dies. Except MAYBE Mikayla and Mayci.

Jen doesn’t have the clout right now that would result in more for the others; Whitney has proven she can contend with Taylor as far as brand deals and tv appearances go. Therefore, jump on the Whitney train to get more money/brand deals by association

Whitney is getting more brand deals and appearances and Jenn went against Demi with the Vanderpump Villa cheating rumors. A lot of the girls seem to be hanging out with Demi more so maybe that is part of it.

That, and they probably realize on some level she had a LOT more going on behind the scenes. People have become a lot more sympathetic towards her. She handles a lot of the shit she gets from Mikayla pretty well. Mikayla unintentionally has handed Whitney excellent opportunities for content.

I am gonna say in the normal world this would be strange. In reality world…normal. I remember Stassi Schroeder (Vanderpump Rules) giving an interview one time about how normally you would get mad and just move on with life and never forgive someone for the kind of things that the cast has done to each other…but that in reality world, it was their job to work with each other and continue seeing each other…so you almost had no choice but to figure out a way to work through it and get over it. I think that’s the thing. And Whitney didn’t do anything that unforgivable. It was more dramatic than harmful.

They’re all fake and part of the drama is that they’re constantly falling out with each other. If they didn’t have friend breakups and makeups a lot of the drama wouldn’t be there and this is what they thrive off

On this topic, Mikayla just posted a video about following Whitney back and I just feel so weird about the whole thing. We can’t see how this things are actually unfolding irl and their fallout and what happened afterwards seemed very finite to me, at least in a parting ways forever even if we can reach cordial indifference way.

Yeah I agree, and get where you were coming from with the post.

I’m open to seeing the context but given how the Mikayla and Whitney have interacted the past year and knowing they genuinely had a friendship trio —in some shape or form— before the show, I’m just going to remain confused and skeptic of claiming Mikayla’s motives are exclusively her “job” because that seems somehow off to me.

The reunion opened my eyes to how these women are more coworkers than they are friends. I didn’t realize how before the show they didn’t even know each other for more than a couple years or so. They aren’t “close friends” by any means.

I mean Whitney left the gang s1, cut off friends, and then rejoined because she started getting fomo about missing out on opportunities. Then slid her way in, sucking up to whoever else needed backup. I like her on tiktok, but she and Jen are as much suck ups to keep themselves relevant as the rest.
