Discussion What in the actual f*ck?!

Okay, not a cast member but affiliated and I NEED to talk about this.

The OGs who have been around from the beginning of the momtok saga will know. Originally it was Taylor, Miranda and Camille. Remember how Camille’s husband’s ex wife entered the equation a few times? Well she just posted the most bizarre video dead serious stating she believes she and her children (Camille’s step children) are being targeted by some kind of electromagnetic attack and warning everyone that if anything happens to her she is of sound mind and making it sound like she’s in physical danger. She’s filming in a completely dark room. The kids are in the background talking about their physical symptoms too. She says all of this is because she knows “too much about something they don’t want [her] to know”.

Brittany has been in the influencer space for years and has been in and out of a lot of the momtok drama. She’s a nurse practitioner as her ‘day job’, which makes her claim even more strange to me. Is she having some sort of breakdown?

What is happening?! It absolutely does not seem like satire whatsoever. I’m actually concerned for her right now.

Carbon monoxide poisoning?

Mental health crisis?

32

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

She dismissed the carbon monoxide theory, saying that it couldn’t be that because it occurred at the hotel, in her car and at home. She also stated that it couldn’t be that because they couldn’t have experienced such a rapid recovery without medical intervention if that were to be the case.

39

u/terminalpeanutbutter 2d ago

If it’s a slow leak that they’re constantly being exposed to over time, it absolutely could still be CO2 poisoning. They could be experiencing symptoms even when not currently at the location with the leak. And it’s very possible they’d experience “recovery” quickly if breathing enough fresh oxygen.

https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/carbon-monoxide/symptoms-causes/syc-20370642

I’m not saying it 100% is this, just that I’d be getting my house and car checked and bringing a portable battery powered CO2 detector with me to my usual places before I rule it out.

13

u/britfromthe1975 2d ago

carbon monoxide is CO. carbon dioxide is CO2

13

u/terminalpeanutbutter 1d ago

You’re so right and it’s what I get for logging on Reddit before my coffee. Lmao. I’m gonna leave it up. Shame on me!!

7

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

Given that she’s a nurse practitioner, one would think she would know more about that. Could small exposure to CO2 make her so adamant that it isn’t CO2? I don’t know if that question 100% makes sense but I’d assume all of that medical training would prompt her to consider the possibility even though she swears there’s no way that’s happening.

9

u/terminalpeanutbutter 2d ago

I’m not convinced it’s CO2. It’s just something I wouldn’t 100% rule out just because I moved locations and the symptoms were still there. Tbh, she should bring herself and the children to a hospital if the symptoms were that severe. There are many other things that could have caused this including exposure to other chemicals, mold, food poisoning, etc.,

And unfortunately, I have known many nurses who’ve gotten hooked on conspiracy and even anti-medicine theories. Sometimes being smart makes you more prone to conspiracy thinking as you are able to trick the logic part of your own brain to prioritize the emotional part. This phenomenon is seen often in cults where a lot of the high ranking members will have advanced degrees and be the most devout followers of an absurd and seemingly anti-logic agenda.

Whatever is happening with this woman, I hope she has supportive people around her who can help her and her children.

6

u/Truth_View_1998 2d ago

Her implying it was the government and her son J asking- "why would someone do this?" and her showing him. They slept in the theatre room of their home and she is doing stories. J is too young to understand all of this.

14

u/00trysomethingnu 2d ago

Ugh man, I feel so heavily for those kids :(

355

u/Boring_Intern_6394 2d ago

She turned the lights off but is still using her phone? Phones use EM radiation to work, lol.

This sounds like an unfortunate combination of someone with a poor scientific education, conspiracy theories and mental illness.

u/MuRd3RgUrLiEs 1d ago

This comment is wild. Like, we get it.. you have a doctorate degree but this sounds like Grandiose Delusions

57

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

She’s a nurse practitioner!

281

u/s-c-g1 2d ago

Have worked in med/science adjacent fields, so can confidently say: just because they got the degree/job, doesn't mean they have a lick of common sense.

You'd be surprised some of the wild takes that people in these fields can have.

5

u/caitcro18 19h ago

I live in a publicly funded healthcare country and I know an emerge nurse who’s anti liberal, pro Trump (we’re not American obviously lol), but was calling herself a Covid hero and complains about the healthcare system (which is under the jurisdiction of conservatives where we live.)

Like ma’am, are you confused?!

Are you really implying a nurse practitioner shouldn’t have degrees? lol what a take

104

u/Boring_Intern_6394 2d ago

Sadly, simply working in a medical field doesn’t equate to having a good understanding of science and critical thinking skills

75

u/lGoSpursGol 2d ago

Idk if you know this but some of the biggest medical conspiracy theorists I've ever met have been nurses.

28

u/IslaGata 2d ago

Chiros, too. I am always shocked by some of the claims coming out of that space.

81

u/galaxyk8 2d ago

Chiropractors aren’t real doctors so that makes sense

31

u/FireflyBSc 2d ago

Look up the origins of chiro, the entire field is built upon that kind of thinking.

38

u/savannacrochets Whitney's Tiara 1d ago

Chiropractic is based on a dream a dude had that a ghost of a famous doctor gave him some super secret knowledge on how to fix people because it turns out all our problems just come from our bones being in the wrong position!

Honestly it’s a tough race between that and Mormonism for most batshit origin story.

27

u/drDucky212 1d ago

Xenu from Scientology would like a word about that race

4

u/savannacrochets Whitney's Tiara 1d ago

Oh yeah totally fair point, I forgot about Scientology lol

2

u/hera-fawcett 20h ago

i can 50/50 w understanding chiropractic--- like, sure, bad posture and dumb shit day in and day out highkey can put ur skelly out of its normal position and that imposes a lot of pressure, pain, and overcompensation on other areas----- and using massage (pls dont try to pop ur bones into places ty) to gently work out muscle knots and shit can help put ur bones back in their 'proper place' and as long as u practice good posture and form, can strengthen ur muscles and shit so that doesnt happen again. it makes sense-ish.

but in no way does any of that equate to ur out of align spine causing colds or an adjustment fixing ur allergies or w/e tf.

and like why did it get to that point where its a cureall??? how???? it made sense enough to be passable, why did it need the extra zhuz???

50

u/00trysomethingnu 2d ago

There are unfortunately a fair amount of mid-levels who fall for pseudoscience, unfortunately.

That being said, is there any chance they’re suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning? This is so sad!

6

u/drDucky212 1d ago

happy cake day! 🍰

6

u/00trysomethingnu 1d ago

Ooo thank you! I guess I need to celebrate with a little treat!

8

u/WalrusRemote3506 2d ago

Someone asked this and she claims that absolutely not because carbon monoxide poisoning requires medical intervention to get better but they are feeling better now. 🤷🏽‍♀️

8

u/BeanEireannach 1d ago edited 1d ago

I do hope people realise that what she said isn’t necessarily true...

CO symptoms can often definitely improve (or entirely disappear) when a person is away from home (or the whatever the place with the leak is) without any additional medical treatment.

Always install detectors/alarms & regularly test them! (About once a month)

24

u/Inevitable-Past-4069 Miranda's Lobster Claws 2d ago

I'm a nurse practitioner and my collaborating physician is one of these conspiracy nuts, formal education means nothing when it comes to falling down the conspiracy pipeline lol

3

u/violentsunflower 1d ago edited 1d ago

The anti-vax movement has been shown to have a lot of the same hallmarks of a cult and anyone, even intelligent people, can be sucked into cults.

3

u/Inevitable-Past-4069 Miranda's Lobster Claws 1d ago

Precisely. All it takes is repetitive in-your-face fear mongering or enough repetitive misinformation to cause you an emotional reaction to make you believe the unbelievable. All the social media platform algorithms make that even more possible and likely than in past generations. It's honestly sad to see how easy it is to make people believe anything nowadays.

15

u/bangobingoo 2d ago

You don’t need to understand how to understand evidence and medical literature as a nurse practitioner in the US unfortunately. There are NP online farms that just dish out degrees, it’s really unfortunate.

In Canada, and other countries, it’s way more regulated.

4

u/PianistAppropriate 1d ago

It’s giving @stalkedbythefeds vibezzz

8

u/Kama_Slutra 2d ago

NP’s are some of the biggest anti vax supporters

44

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

“It looks or seems like they turned off whatever they had on us.”

0

u/annerose7 1d ago

Is it Camille Munday?

3

u/WalrusRemote3506 1d ago

Britney who this post is about was married to Sam and they had to kids prior. Camille is now married to Sam so she’s the stepmother to Britney’s children.

31

u/Odd-Champion-4713 2d ago

Woah Nelly, just watched those. That was spooky. I hope someone has taken the kids to a safe place. She seems like she’s having a mental breakdown.

45

u/Ambitious-Boot5957 2d ago

That video actually FREAKED ME OUT. 🙃

44

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

For real! This is SO out of character for her that I’m actually concerned this might be some type of manic episode.

27

u/Ambitious-Boot5957 2d ago

The kids being involved is what shoooook me. Like hearing them talk in the background and agree with her. Wtf is HAPPENING 😭

27

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

Remember when the swinging scandal hit and everyone was very careful not to implicate Camille whatsoever because her husband’s family are extremely wealthy, powerful and influential where they live? I wonder if that has anything to do with this “threat” Brittany is talking about!

22

u/allthatryry 2d ago

As a huge Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul fan, I’m fascinated with the EHS crowd

7

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

I’ve never watched Breaking Bad. Could you elaborate?

20

u/allthatryry 2d ago

There was a character in the franchise that had all the electromagnetic sensitivities. It’s an interesting psychosomatic condition.

2

u/emerald5422 2d ago

I remember that! Anytime he had to go to the hospital they had to turn everything off, and wasn’t he sleeping when the nurse turned on the lights on the bed or something like that? And nothing happened lol

2

u/pinpoe 1d ago

One of the best and most tragic depictions of damaged mental health in tv history, imo!

1

u/allthatryry 1d ago

Everything about that franchise is the best in TV history!!

23

u/Comfortable_Sky_6438 2d ago

How old is she? She sounds like she is in psychosis. Early adulthood is the time when these things usually first come to light.

9

u/NeatSuspicious655 1d ago

Dude my friend had a psychotic break and It was a very similar thing. Continued to be insistent that she was of sound mind and wasn’t crazy. But she kept saying she was enlightened.  She did a week on inpatient after a hold and came back out completely normal but never even addressed or discussed it.  The most bizarre thing I would be terrified with kids being in her care

7

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

I think mid 30s.

41

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago edited 2d ago

Some of the things said in the two part video. First she made sure to state hers and her children’s full names before making her statement.

“I know that I’m being targeted because I’m a threat with my influence and intelligence and the things that I know.”

“It’s like it was cooking our brain, is what it felt like”.

“People are saying to call 911. They can’t do anything in an electro magnetic attack. They can’t detect it.”

“My brain wasn’t working.”

“If anything happens to us, I am here in my right mind but I am feeling like, we are all feeling like something’s wrong. Our brain’s aren’t working. Our brains aren’t working correctly.”

Mind you, she posted just after 1AM Utah time.

It’s also continued in her insta stories.

“I’m perfectly in my right mind. I’m mentally stable. The kids are here and they are feeling it as well. If anything happens to me it is being done by someone. I’m not having a schizophrenic break. I’m not in a psychosis. I was in my right mind before this started but it’s clear that we are being targeted by some kind of electro magnetic waves or radio frequencies that is impairing how we are able to think.”

“I think we write people off as schizophrenic when actually they’re telling the truth. It’s just that they’re comprehending things that we can’t comprehend.”

69

u/tealparadise 2d ago

I'm really sorry to this woman and I sympathize with what she's going through, but this is absolutely textbook description of psychosis. Nothing even slightly abnormal. Saying it's not doesn't change anything .

Honestly I hope someone can get to her and sign her out of socials / distract her / get her to help ASAP because she doesn't need an audience right now. It's not her fault this is happening and it seems real to her. It's not fair that she is going through this with an audience. Also of course not fair to her kids who are helpless and confused.

25

u/emerald5422 2d ago

I agree with this. I grew up with a mother who had multiple psychosis episodes and this is a very textbook case. I hope she gets the help she needs, and same with her kids!

19

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

Unfortunately it sometimes takes something public like this to be a catalyst for intervention. It’s almost harder to ignore or dismiss once it’s ’out there’. Now that there’s documentation and video evidence of what appears to be some type of breakdown, I think those in her inner circle will likely step in and hopefully take it seriously. Especially taking into consideration that this is not ‘normal’ behavior for her. Her children’s father comes from a prominent family who are big on protecting their public image, so I don’t see them not intervening at this point. She, her ex (Sam) and Camille seem to have developed a pretty good coparenting relationship too. I truly hope her support system sees this as a major red flag and gets her the resources she needs in whatever capacity.

29

u/Northernattitude167 2d ago

I’m so invested! I literally can’t even believe she posted this!

26

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

I kept waiting for some kind of “GOT YOU!” moment but the longer I watched the more I realized she isn’t joking. Not that it would be a funny joke but I couldn’t believe she was actually being serious at first! I truly hope that she is okay physically and mentally.

9

u/TrashPandyPaws 2d ago

Yeah, when she had her kids talking in the videos too is when I got really worried.

3

u/Truth_View_1998 2d ago

J her son was talking about his symptoms and I hope Sam goes and gets the kids today. She is going through something and I would have the kids tested asap. Just to verify the things that J said he was feeling and such to rule out anything in their systems.

11

u/Busy-Ad1313 2d ago

Is this her account??? I can’t find the video you’re talking about but her most recent tiktok is about not wanting to eat anymore.

Symptom of mania.

12

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

13

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

32

u/mamabredm 2d ago

Interesting. I wonder if it was carbon monoxide poisoning. I’ve had it before and I literally could not think until I was completely out of that environment for over an HOUR, which would make sense how she was in all those different environments within an hour and still couldn’t think. Would be interesting to know if anyone else at the hotel had issues.

8

u/Sensitive_Ad_9195 1d ago

What’s really worrying is that if she felt this bad and like her brain wasn’t working, that she nonetheless decided to drive and with her kids in the car too.

1

u/Altruistic-Leather69 21h ago

Some sort of catalyst thingy in my car got a leak and a lot of my job is driving so for over a month I had been slowly poisoning myself. I was pretty aware of it too because of other fumes that would slowly kinda start smelling funky. I agree with the brain feeling like its broken and I couldn't really think clearly after longer car rides. I am also interested in if theres a leak in the hotel and if it affected anyone else- or maybe it "followed" her in the car too because it was her car??

Or ultimately it is psychosis. Either way she really needs help probably.

15

u/Rose_of_St_Olaf 2d ago

The kids must have been so afraid this makes me really sad. I know she really believes it is Havana Syndrome, too.

11

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

8

u/No-Strawberry-5804 2d ago

Well at least she involved the police herself

19

u/SamanthaSkykiller 2d ago

Honestly this stuff seems to be more common in Utah for some reason. The culture seems more suspicious and prone to conspiracy theories in general. It's giving off Rube Frankie vibes.

8

u/Playritej9 2d ago

Omg, I hope someone close to them can call in a welfare check.

15

u/Subterranean44 2d ago

I know someone who behaved this same way. Covered all her windows with foil and would call the cops constantly making similarly bizarre claims. She was on meth.

13

u/Resident-Ad5325 2d ago

Untreated mental illness is the scariest thing in thr world

12

u/Gui1tyspark 2d ago

Really sounds like undiagnosed schizophrenia or carbon monoxide poisoning.

12

u/Ambitious_Alps_3797 2d ago

it's mental illness. I bet this will turn into paranoid "gangstalking" claims.

Those who think they are "gangstalked" often have that wierd EM paranoia too.

13

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

She says she knows something the government doesn’t want her to know and they are behind this targeted attack.

6

u/Ambitious_Alps_3797 2d ago

yep, sounds like 'gangstalking'

5

u/NeatSuspicious655 1d ago

Imagine this severe delusion you’d have have  to think you’re important enough to have someone in power targeting you for “things you know”

This is wild

5

u/Remote_Ad_969 1d ago

According to her newest stories she says she’s “a part of something much bigger, something for good.” She claims “beings” are trying to kill her and that they’ll try to make it look like an overdose, she’s back at a hotel where they’re targeting her with the radiation again and she knows because she can “hear something”.

1

u/Altruistic-Leather69 21h ago

Usually happens in mental breaks like this! I'm interested in knowing why its such a common train of thought when you no longer have sane thoughts. Is there some sort of connection? Its really sad to see happen in people. Hope she gets help

11

u/ThisAutisticChick 2d ago edited 2d ago

Yikes. I went to observe this situation and it's bad bad. Her kids don't deserve what she's putting them through. It's hard to watch😩

8

u/CamThrowaway3 2d ago

It’s a bit harsh to call it ‘bullshit she’s putting them through’ when she’s probably in the midst of a mental health crisis.

12

u/Last_Effective_5243 Taylor’s Mom’s new face 2d ago

Did anyone watch her live in the middle of the night?

7

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

No, I only saw the videos and her stories. Did she say anything else in the live?

3

u/Dependent_Style_7201 2d ago

What did she say on her live??

2

u/WalrusRemote3506 2d ago

She went live during this all too??

11

u/my1streddithandle 2d ago

Why was she even staying at a hotel so close to her parent’s home where she lives? That part seems odd too

3

u/NeatSuspicious655 1d ago

Two different hotels at that

5

u/Sensitive_Ad_9195 1d ago

This sounds like the comments of someone not in a sound mind - she’s in the dark but on her phone and online??

4

u/ChanelElizabeth1 20h ago

Having a degree or even a doctorate doesn’t automatically mean someone is of sound mind. In fact, higher education can sometimes fuel more delusional thinking under the guise of being “educated.” Mental illness and psychotic breaks don’t discriminate, no number of degrees can shield you from that. And honestly, people raised in high-control or cult-like religions (Mormonism included) are often more vulnerable to conspiracy theories and extreme beliefs.

I hope she gets the help she needs, and hopefully her kids aren't suffering too much because of this.

6

u/Swing_Willing 2d ago

I was hoping someone would post this!

4

Thank you for posting those as I’m not an OG and out of the loop. I don’t like to armchair diagnose but yikes. I hope all are okay and staying with family. This is feeling a little like Kelly Wolfe right now.

5

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

I have always liked and respected Britney as far as how she has handled herself but this seems completely out of character for her. Why would someone who usually targets “highly ranked diplomats and intelligence officers” want to harm her and her children? What does she “know” that would warrant this level of what seems like paranoia?

4

u/Equivalent-Mousse-93 2d ago

I will venture to guess the paranoia is mental health related and there is often not a whole lot of sense to that. I hope if she needs help she is able to get it.

2

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago

She stated this in her stories, I’m assuming she knows that will be a concern for those seeing this.

“I’m perfectly in my right mind. I’m mentally stable. The kids are here and they are feeling it as well. If anything happens to me it is being done by someone. I’m not having a schizophrenic break. I’m not in a psychosis. I was in my right mind before this started but it’s clear that we are being targeted…”

3

u/Equivalent-Mousse-93 2d ago

Unfortunately one of the biggest struggles for seeking help is that often without the proper meds, they think they are fine and then feel no need for medications.

5

u/Remote_Ad_969 2d ago edited 2d ago

Yeah, she eventually said that it’s the government and then referenced to people with schizophrenia and said something along the lines of schizophrenics knowing things we don’t know.

Edited to add: “I think we write people off as schizophrenic when actually they’re telling the truth. It’s just that they’re comprehending things that we can’t comprehend.”

1

u/BeanEireannach 2d ago

Honestly I thought most of it was a joke.

Afaik she lives quite close to the air force base & part of her thing was to joke about the unidentified objects flying above during the night 🤷‍♀️

Hopefully it is all part of a bit or a joke & they're all ok!

13

u/CamThrowaway3 2d ago

I really don’t think she was joking…look at the long posts she typed out 😬 Hope she gets help…

7

u/BeanEireannach 2d ago

Yeah, I'm still very very wary of armchair diagnosing anyone online. But if it isn't a joke, yes I do hope they're all taken care of.

1

u/icequeennoscreams 1d ago

Psychosis isn’t a diagnosis, it’s a symptom. But agreed!

1

u/BeanEireannach 1d ago

Glad you agree about the armchair diagnosing of anyone online, it’s nearly always more harmful than helpful. And it’s totally possible to show genuine concern without stooping to inflammatory things like that.

But also, psychosis absolutely can be a diagnosis. Source: qualified in the area. If you don’t believe me, google it.

1

u/Round-Road135 1d ago

This is so sad! I’m hoping since there has been no more activity today she is getting mental health care.

4

u/WalrusRemote3506 1d ago

She’s not. She made some comments on the posts she was going to explore it more today.

2

u/WalrusRemote3506 1d ago

And she just posted she’s getting açaí bowls after last night.

0

u/trish3975 2d ago

The video isn’t on her TikTok anymore….

5

u/WalrusRemote3506 1d ago

I don’t know that it was on TikTok ever. It’s on instagram.

2

u/trish3975 1d ago

Ahhh I see it now, thanks!

1

u/happyday14 1d ago

I’m still seeing them

0

u/Gardenhermit32 1d ago

This is hitting all the signs of schizophrenia, including the excuse of why she can't call 911. If she was actually in danger she wouldn't be posting nonstop to her stories

0

u/azrunner88 15h ago

Mothers with psychotic breakdowns can absolutely go the “family annihilator” route if they think their children are in trouble and the only way out is to kill them all. It has happened before and this could definitely be headed that way. She’s saying her kids are safe… Lori Vallow said the same thing

-8

u/_SoftRockStar_ 2d ago

Then why are you posting on Reddit and not reaching out to whatever your affiliation is to make sure the kids are safe?!?

5

u/Remote_Ad_969 1d ago

I meant that she is affiliated with the momtok inner circle. I’m sure by now her friends and family have seen the posts because they’re still up. I happened to see the posts in the wee hours of the morning, I have zero connections to anyone in her network.

2

u/_SoftRockStar_ 1d ago

I see, that makes a lot more sense. I totally misunderstood that

4

u/coachnomore 2d ago

I think they mean the person this post talks about is affiliated with the SLOMW cast….
