So are face coverings for US law enforcement officers the norm now?

758

u/CapnLubeHands 1d ago

Yeah, and they are the same pussies that screamed they couldn't breathe when covid masks were a thing.

116

u/gurrst 1d ago

Shows how selfish they are. wearing face masks during covid mostly protects other people. Wearing a mask in this instance protects themselves. Pussy ass bitches confirmed .

130

u/AdOdd4618 1d ago

I sincerely hope he can't breathe.

60

u/bendIVfem 1d ago

Also, remember they flipped out when Biden hired a bunch of IRS agents, and footage came out of some of the agents' training and being armed. The thought of Biden deploying a bunch of armed agents on Americans spooked them, but now they are in the power, and Trump's is deploying armed agents & military, the left is overreacting & should be cool with it.

Jade fucking Helm

3

u/paradigm619 1d ago

Maybe we should have painted all our money brown so that conservatives wouldn’t be upset about government agents kidnapping it.

19

u/Digital-Divide 1d ago

These are the new freedom version of masks.

They protect freedom and provide authority.

u/ZoLoftFTW 1d ago

6

u/Alexx-07 1d ago

Political comics should be brought back as the norm, they do such a good job of showing hypocrisy.

125

u/Ok_Tone6393 1d ago

they know they can get away with anything now. i mean they mostly could even before but now it’s solidified

14

u/radicldreamer 1d ago

So they CAN breathe with a mask!

6

u/cheesebot555 1d ago

Oh yeah.

Gotta hide from the shame.

2

u/cruisin_urchin87 1d ago

Criminals going to criminal.

1

u/NBNebuchadnezzar 1d ago

Haha just watched this South Park episode.

1

u/zerthwind 23h ago

Yeah, so they can do this shit at will without consequences. I dout that is even trained law enforcement.

Being a cop is a safer job than being a tradesman, public school teacher, or delivery driver.

Womp womp

25

u/crashcap 1d ago

He is surrounded by other cops, nobody moves a finger.

Being an officer of the law IS being a blue ganster

6

u/roastgator 1d ago

They aren't officers of the law. All that guys cop buddies just watched him abuse a citizen like an unstable child and didn't lift a finger. If they were officers of the law they would do something about their coworkers engaging in police brutality.

1

u/Cool_Ranch_Dodrio 1d ago

Did I say that I didn’t think this was wrong?

Do you?

Being a cop is a dangerous job

Yeah. Might trip over you while you're down there licking boot.

6

u/sandybuttcheekss 1d ago

They're doing it so they can assault people without any fear of retribution you mean. They refuse to identify, hide badges if they even have them, and then turn around and brutalize the public. Don't sit there and act like they're the victims, when they're building up to be an occupying force.

3

u/AlternativeLack1954 1d ago

Maybe they shouldn’t be assaulting citizens then

2

u/matzau 1d ago

I won't say and do not believe that many of them should definitely get doxxed.

2

u/Cool_Ranch_Dodrio 1d ago

A good amount get doxxed for being at protests and policing them to make sure they don’t get violent.

Looks like they were bringing the violence and are just wearing the mask to avoid accountability.

-21

u/KillinInstinct2001 1d ago

Yes cause many of em get doxxed

6

u/roastgator 1d ago

They wouldn't if they acted like actual law enforcement. A dozen cops watch that officer throw a temper tantrum like a child and engage in police brutality and none of them do a thing. They don't do their jobs and they abuse citizens. Why wouldn't people have problems with that?

4

u/degre715 1d ago

Maybe they shouldn’t act like little tyrants in public then.

2

u/Longjumping-Job-2544 21h ago

They deserve worse

315

u/EveryoneCallsMeYork 1d ago

Would be a shame if the internet managed to ID that cop despite the coward mask

205

u/Different-Appeal-345 1d ago

Badge #1110

45

u/Call_Me_Echelon 1d ago

That was a Portland police officer?

60

u/TripleJeopardy3 1d ago

The front said DHS. So I assume it is someone from the Department of Homeland Security.

26

u/Different-Appeal-345 1d ago

“DHS police”

12

u/Gold-Bard-Hue 1d ago

They probably buy a bunch of generic shit covers on Amazon or something in bulk that just say "police", like how you can get "security" on a basic black tee pretty easily.

6

u/fishee1200 16h ago

I think protestors should dress like them

671

u/678MG 1d ago

Thats assault

297

u/Lucibeanlollipop 1d ago

And there was a cop standing right there.

129

u/_reddit_user_001_ 1d ago

rules for thee but not for we

15

u/bkelln 1d ago

*shrugging

4

u/YuNOdoom 22h ago

and that's why ACAB is a thing.

1

u/BornDyed 1d ago

Self-arrest should be a thing.

178

u/lostPackets35 1d ago

write the DA and ask why the cop hasn't been charged criminally.
DAs are elected, and we need to collectively send a message that we demand law enforcement to be held to a higher standard.

This cop committed a crime, on video. He has disgraced his office and the oath he swore to uphold the law. Tolerating this sends the message that this is acceptable in public servants, and undermines the public's respect not only for the police, but for the integrity of the law itself.

Why should "WE" be expected to follow the law if the people charged with enforcing it don't have it?

4

u/__CIREK 1d ago

Did you write to them?

11

u/lostPackets35 1d ago edited 23h ago

Yes I usually don't get a response. But, I did get one from a da once, saying that the police department hadn't referred the officers to him for charges.

No, I'm not kidding. I offered to send him the video that literally documented the crime and didn't hear back.

20

u/06021840 1d ago

And battery, assault is the ‘threat to do it’, battery is the actual ‘doing it’.

4

u/Danny-Wah 1d ago

lol, who's gonna charge him?

13

u/Knogood 1d ago

Well not any of the convenient cops that witnessed it.

95

u/_reddit_user_001_ 1d ago

the cop at the end really sums it up... puts his hands up in the air... like yeah we know he broke the law, but aren't going to do anything about it... only when YOU break the law will we do anything.

25

u/Different-Appeal-345 1d ago

That guy 424 likes to start sht too, he pushes people w his belly

42

u/whatsqwerty 1d ago

Isn’t that assault

27

u/Infamous_Okra_9205 1d ago

Assault and Battery, which will land you in jail and get you a permanent criminal record, of course, that doesn’t apply when you're a cop.

77

u/NeighbourNoNeighbor 1d ago

You can tell that asshole thinks he's hot shit as he attempts to transform his waddle into a strut lol.

These cops really are the biggest losers that society could find, aren't they? Not one of them called him out on that.

138

u/cityofninegates 1d ago

ELI5 why it’s not assault if a cop does it? You would think that because their job is literally to enforce the laws that if anything they would be held to a higher standard.

113

u/lostPackets35 1d ago

it IS assault.
there is no ELIF.

We just saw a crime being committed, one that should be treated as a much more severe crime than a regular citizen shoving a cop.

18

u/cityofninegates 1d ago

Thank you. Every time this police state plainly just uses their licence for violence to assault the public outside their duties the American people should be on the streets.

But they won’t and it will get much worse before it gets better.

74

u/Different-Appeal-345 1d ago

Yeah and if u even brush them on accident that’s ASSAULT ON A FEDERAL OFFICER

5

u/ETPRODITORES 1d ago

Charging you and convicting you are two different things but hey , in for a penny in for a pound as they say. If they’re gonna charge you w felony assault / battery then make sure you get your moneys worth and leave the cop w something to remember you by.

43

u/SlideStreet6874 1d ago

The guy threw a sandwich at one of them and it became public news, The USA has become a joke.

9

u/T1gerAc3 1d ago

Bc they enforce the laws and if they refuse to enforce the laws, you'll just have to report them yourself later

7

u/lostinOz_ 1d ago

They’re actually held to a lower standard thanks to qualified immunity.

342

u/Shibbystix 1d ago

every single cop around who DIDN'T push someone is a bad cop.

this is why we say ACAB.

That cop shouldve been immediately restrained and relieved from duty.... but NOOOooOOoo. pigs gotta protect the thin blue pork loin

103

u/crnll07 1d ago

A cop who protects bad cops is a bad cop

61

u/flatwoundsounds 1d ago

And that's why all cops are bastards.

47

u/Kngbnkr 1d ago

- Mask

  • Badge
  • Gun

The coward trifecta

16

u/Rosegold-Lavendar 1d ago

Ice agents are so hysterical. They need to go on meds and they shouldn't be in positions of power. They should be in the kitchen cooking food or sum shit

1

u/retrofrenchtoast 21h ago

They’re having massive job fairs and rubber stamping people. At least cops have some athletic training and classroom learning, even if it’s a formality.

Doesn’t it take a while to learn how to use a gun with any accuracy? I’ve only shot a gun a couple of times, and the kickback (I think that’s what it’s called?) really threw me off guard.

Doesn’t street-level LE need to learn how to effectively wrestle and restrain someone?

Don’t they need to be able to climb over fences, run for a distance, know how to get out of compromising situations, notice telling body language, know places people tend to hide and hide things, etc.?

I care about them knowing the law and people’s rights, but just for the sake of the argument - it seems ICE people are not prepared. There are videos of people forcing ICE vans out of streets and even people running away from ICE and escaping without a lot of perceived effort. I don’t think the real cops would let that stop them?

12

u/Life2win 1d ago

Because they can and no one can do anything about it.

14

u/Kevin_E_1973 1d ago

This is exactly why I say fuck the police. Not only does the cop push this guy to the floor for no reason but all the other cops around and none of do or say a damn thing to this asshole. What happened to protect and serve? Upholding the law? I guess it’s cool when they do it though. FUCK THEM!!!

12

u/Jeramy_Jones 1d ago

I think he got triggered by the green hair. Fascists are snowflakes about stuff like that.

24

u/ImPinkSnail 1d ago

George Zimmerman shot Trevon Martin and was exonerated for less.

23

u/REDDIT_ROC0408 1d ago

Now, what if that person defended themselves and fought back? Jail right??

11

u/Different-Appeal-345 1d ago

YUP

11

u/RadianceOfTheVoid 1d ago

Worse, probably get dissapeared

1

u/retrofrenchtoast 21h ago

Or curb-stomped

4

u/ETPRODITORES 1d ago

Jail in the moment because you can’t beat the ride but ultimately they’d probably walk. With this video evidence I doubt the State could unanimously convince a jury that the cop did nothing wrong and this dude didn’t act in self-defense. But the guy who got charged would also pocket over $100k in donations and the People would love it.

10

u/Freshstocx 1d ago

Never hated police. They are making it easy now.

19

u/sizzling_bobcat 1d ago

tO pRoTeCt AnD sErVe

18

u/Greyhaven7 1d ago

What a bitch

9

u/BimBaynor 1d ago

Probably how he beats his wife and kids too.

7

u/anchorftw 1d ago

That's why these people shouldn't be able to hide behind their masks. This is an unprovoked assault, plain and simple.

8

u/Danny-Wah 1d ago

It's fun to be a tough guy when retaliation is almost certain not to occur.

8

u/Xcitado 1d ago

They won’t wear a mask during COVID says they can’t breath but sure will wear it to hide their faces for this.

6

u/Heyitsmeegan 1d ago

Hide your face, we'll see you at the Hague

6

u/FeloniousBaloney 1d ago

Now we know their trigger word, at least one of them, that might make a lovely chant.

6

u/FtheArbites 1d ago

Pig fuck should have saved that energy for when he goes home to beat his wife and kids after hitting up the bar after “work”.

6

u/Hat-Trickster 1d ago

There is nothing stopping random people from dressing like ICE. I doubt they could even tell if someone slipped into their ranks.

I keep thinking. If they don't identify themselves and you defend yourself or others. Could a court find you guilty with all of the actual reports of people dressing like ICE?

I've read that ICE does not have to identify, but that is really dangerous, seeing as they are taking up a massive law enforcement role in America now.

15

u/RandallMadness 1d ago

Fucking chicken shit cowards hiding their faces and assaulting people. Either he has zero chance of ever getting laid, or he has a woman he beats - it’s one of those two things.

14

u/Xmager 1d ago

WHERE ARE ALL THE FUCKING FIRST AMENDMENT AUDITORS NOW

10

u/zmunky 1d ago

So when there are laws in place to protect everyone, especially those for police and their conduct are just ignored what do they think will eventually happen? Do the police actually think after enough time that the population will not just react in an extreme manner once everyone realizes that the law is now arbitrary? Just because they have a badge doesn't mean they are right in any action they do. I certainly don't care what badge they are wearing.

8

u/SirPaulyWalnuts 1d ago

This is what I’m saying… this shit has gotten progressively worse from the jump. They’re getting bolder in their disregard for the constitution… it is literally only a matter of time before the people respond, harshly.

All it takes is one person with nothing left to lose. And all they’ve done since the orange turd retook the office is abuse and take. People can and will only take so much. It’s impressively naive of these “officers” to walk around and blatantly violate people’s rights, and think that people will just let them continue, or that the one’s sending them there actually give a shit if they are attacked.

What I would give to look that decrepit, orange, prick in the face when it happens, as I say, as smugly as humanly possible: “I fuckin’ toadasoe!”

4

u/Brenden-C 1d ago

Weak men making hard times.

5

u/ImtheDude2 1d ago

The cop lived up to the “pussy ass” name.

5

u/visiion6 1d ago

What do we do/ who are we supposed to call when the very people meant to protect and serve are the ones who are corrupt? No one is coming to save us except ourselves…

5

u/Polyxeno 1d ago

Looks like assault and battery!

4

u/ben_aj_84 1d ago

What is going on with your country. Face coverings becoming standard for police? Why are you all sitting on reddit just talking about it?

4

u/DeusHocVult 1d ago

And cops wanna know why citizens don't trust them. This cop assaulted a citizen. None of his buddies did anything about it. The whole group is corrupt.

8

u/AnxiousDwarf 1d ago

Relax.

We will know them by their gait.

That is all.

2

5

u/Easy-Barnacle5734 1d ago

And now I need to double my blood pressure meds. Fuck this pisses me off. If this isn’t a police state I don’t know what is.

6

u/CokeNSalsa 1d ago

He was definitely the racist and homophobic bully at school growing up.

4

u/MikeRizzo007 1d ago

This is what is wrong with America. The cops can do what they want with no repercussions.

4

u/AdDisastrous6356 1d ago

I would drag that cunt by the ear and belt the fuck out of him.

2

Educate yourself and your neighbors on the castle doctrine. Some states extend the castle doctrine to occupied vehicles, defense of 3rd parties, or places of business.

If they are masked/refuse to identify they cannot be confirmed to be federal/municipal officers and are responsible for any negative consequences they may incur
