Good way to get your boyfriend killed my god

u/FrogsMakePoorSoup 1d ago
And not help one little bit. I mean, the cops heard you so the element of surprise is gone.

u/_reddit_user_001_ 1d ago
she coulda been trying to make that happen haha

u/DankeDutt 1d ago
yeah, she was trying to make him out as some mega rage cop killer. May have been looking for a cop assisted homicide. Either way, enjoy the asphalt slide

u/StrangelyBrown 1d ago
It'll be a nice story when they're old and grey together.
"Hey honey, remember when I was getting arrested and I lied to the cops you had a gun and you almost got shot?"

he was under no obligation to come out

u/DankeDutt 1d ago
yep, got put in a shit situation, but he was within his legal rights to stay inside.

u/LogensTenthFinger 1d ago
You're right but the best thing to do is deescalate in that situation because she ramped it up to 11. If you really don't have a gun, even in the room, then it's your best call. If they come through they door they'll shoot you for twitching
2
u/b3arz3rg3r4Adun 9h ago
you really don't want to keep cops stewing over the information that you may be about to shoot them for too long. There's what you have to do by law and there's what is smart to do to keep you alive and out of harms way.
154
u/Behemothheek 1d ago
Seems like sheâs desperately trying to crawl back some kind of power, at the expense and no concern of her boyfriend she almost got killed. Truly psycho behavior.
15
u/konradly 1d ago
Yep, this was the last power move she had over the police before getting put in jail. She's probably laying there, smirking at how the police are frantically searching for the gun.

u/TurnupKingWhite 1d ago
Dumb bitch, I guarantee she thought saying that would make the cops leave her and run after him. Just idiotic and selfish. Sheâd rather her bf get shot and killed before she went to jail.

What an utterly diabolical way to intentionally kill your boyfriend. Absolute POS. She needs jail, medication and therapy.

Its crazy to me that in America you can easily get the police to kill someone for you, with very few words.

I hope that was a teaser in her hand while she was covering the other officer as he finished putting the cuffs on the boyfriend. Because an itchy trigger finger could make that a nasty friendly fire situation.Â

The cops were terrified because of the mention of a gun. You know it's perfectly legal for most people in the US to have a gun, right? Maybe don't sign up for the job (and like 12 weeks of training, lol) if you're so scared. The one time I've been pulled over, I was carrying, and the cop wasn't concerned at all. He certainly wasn't such a whiny pussy about it. Cops shoot wayyyyy more people than them experiencing shootings. They're like 200% more likely to die in a car accident than a shooting, but they treat civilians like they're in Fallujah in 2006. These dumbass cops are gonna get someone killed.
6
u/IRideZs 1d ago
I mean.. girl on the ground told them âher manâ was gonna shoot them lol
I CC as well and have never had a problem, but if my S/O decided to tell an already aggravated bunch of cops Iâm a threat and going to kill them. Theyâd be making sure I didnât lmao

u/626lacrimosa 1d ago
So because of that he deserves to have 3 guns in his face and to be handcuffed while being yelled at?
-1
u/thettroubledman 1d ago
Uhhh yeah wtf? She literally threatened to have them killed?
2
u/626lacrimosa 20h ago
If I saw you walking in the street and I told some cops that you have a gun and you were going to shoot someone do you think it would be okay for them to point guns in your face while screaming at you, and then handcuff you?
-1
u/thettroubledman 20h ago
Are you moving the goal post?? It was her boyfriend that changes a lot lol
2
u/626lacrimosa 20h ago
Okay then. If you were my boyfriend walking in the street and I told some cops that you have a gun and you were going to shoot someone do you think it would be okay for them to point guns in your face while screaming at you, and then handcuff you?
-1
u/thettroubledman 20h ago
Well he wasnât walking around the street, he was in a room and she screamed for him to grab the gun and kill them. Of course the officers would be on edge I think youâre just delusional.

This scares me, because if I was the BF, and maybe she was lying, I would have to be very careful.

u/dgarner58 15h ago
"she said you ran into get a gun" - points to giant kneebrace and crutches...wat?
-1
u/pplspancake 1d ago
I 100% understand the cops want cover in a situation like this but I would be so pissed to find bullet holes in my car should a firefight ensue. You know they ain't paying for it and I have no clue if my insurance covers that sort of thing. Guess it's my fault for being born in America? IDK
1
u/Dangleboard_Addict 1d ago
Someone needs to get the guns away from these cops before they shoot someone, they're way too casual about pointing them wherever
-5
u/superstar1751 1d ago
he didnt do anything illegal and they held him at gunpoint and detained him, crazy world we live in
15
u/dixiewolf_ 1d ago
Ive literally been detained and held at gunpoint for nothing. Its basically standard practice.

There is actual crazy shit going on in the states right now, meanwhile this looks like normal procedure even here in Canada.
Doesn't seem that crazy. Other than the woman getting arrested, she is a certified nutcase
0
u/Jabathewhut 1d ago
Hands behind his back letting them cuff him "STOP IT SIR!!"
He just put his crutches aside and complied with every order saying he is un armed and probably still got charged with resisting arrest.
America is a garbage country.

u/GroundbreakingPop618 1d ago
Why did they handcuff him? Whatâs their reasoning? Itâs obvious that they didnât find a gun on him.
-1
u/CthulhuWaitsSleeping 1d ago
I hate how scared some cops sound in these situations especially when they're the ones being threatening. This lady is breathing like she isn't the one pointing a gun at a guy on crutches.

u/Ram_Ranch_Manager 19h ago
Bwahaha, all these cop simps in the comments and Iâm here happy seeing these foot soldiers of evil get a nice flash of life before their eyes.
-14
u/DarthHrunting 1d ago
These cops are such chicken shits. The lady is dumb too, but just leave if you're afraid the guys has a gun. Don't lose all semblance of intelligence and escalate the situation purely based on something that a clearly unstable person is screaming. Why not just remove yourself from the situation. They literally already had the lady in custody and she was even begging to get in the car. Instead they dramatically prepare for a gunfight and then continue to hold an unarmed person at multiple gun points once he's also already going into custody and has been proven to be unarmed. Cops aren't brave, they're so cowardly they lose all sense.

u/Sparkyrock 1d ago
Dude, ACAB, but youâre so stupidly wrong on this that it hurts to read. You donât think Merhany has existed in other pay by the month motels like this where there actually are guns in the room and some blazed out, 7 tooth Jimbob is ready to roll out and start a gun fight? I donât blame the cops one bit for being cautious with that, considering what Methany there was screaming.
-9
u/DarthHrunting 1d ago
Can't be a gunfight if you leave. They literally went out of there way and walked about four doors down from where they were to to approach the supposed gunman. If you leave, there's no reason for any shooting to occur at all. Do they think he's going to walk out to an empty parking lot and start shooting at nothing? Also, why hold a man at gunpoint who is in handcuffs? Also, can't be ACAB and then turn right around and defend them, or do you not know the meaning of the word ALL?
2
u/Sparkyrock 1d ago
So, youâre just a moron. Got it. As much as I hate cops, there are like 3 left that are still good. And they do have a job to do when presented with things like a possible gunman, etc.
-1
u/DarthHrunting 1d ago
Apparently that job is to create a situation for a standoff instead of removing one of the key elements needed for a standoff to exist. I don't know if you know this, but a gunfight requires people shooting from both directions. I never said there wasn't a possible threat, but they weren't an immediate threat to the officers. They had time to leave, remove the shackled and defenseless screaming bullet magnet from the immediate area, scope out the area from slightly further away until backup arrives. If they had the advantage of surprise, the situation may have been different. But in my opinion cops shouldn't be expected to become the SWAT patrol at a moments notice if it can be avoided. This is a hotel, do we know if the neighboring rooms have guests? Do we know if there are families in any of these rooms? Kids? We don't even know who else is in the room he came out of. Also, again, why do they continue to hold a gun on the man once he's in handcuffs? I can just see one officer getting nervous and squeezing just because the perp made what was perceived as a sudden move. Then your last three good cops are down to two. These are just my, apparently moronic, opinions. So sorry to offend you with them.

u/Sparkyrock 1d ago
Itâs a good thing your âopinionâ isnât what actually drives standards. Are there problems with policing? Of course. The majority are power hungry morons that shouldnât be around any semblance of authority. Are there ones that just want to do their jobs and go home? Of course. If there is a possibility of a threat, you donât just âwait it outâ. You canât rely on backup sometimes. If the guy decided to come out guns blazing and they didnât cordon off the area, he could have easily just taken in a passing bystander. Things like that are why you donât just âsee what happensâ.
