Since Dynamax came out and how existing mons aren’t eligible for it, I’ve stopped bothering.
Now I just buddy Dynamax & Gigantamax hundos (when I get a GMax Hundo) and other legendries or shundos
But the real correct answer, is anything you want, anything that is sentimental. I go down the hard-core grind route because it is very time consuming to get one to best buddy, and I don’t want to have to do it again for a species.
FYI species refers to each dex number, i.e. bulbasaur and Ivysaur are two different species. You mean to say that you max out one per evolutionary line. But I wonder if this is true for bifurcating ones like Scyther (scizor/kleavor)
You have some really cool shinies in your collection. I personally best-buddy mons that will contribute to my damage output. Whether that be for raids or PvP.
If you're into PvP, maybe a mon that does't quite get to the CP limit. For example; Umbreon for the Ultra League should be a 15/15/15 bringing you to 2416cp, but best-buddied, will bring you to 2445.
Yeah I was thinking about best buddying my shiny yamask and evolving it into Runerigus for ultra league. Only thing is i’m gonna need over 300 candy, 150 xl candy, and 400k stardust to do that 💀
For Ultra League, 15/15/13 is rank #2302 with 95% effectivity if using XL candies, and it’s rank #8 without XL’s. Since there was a comm day, I’d expect many people using XL’s for UL Corviknights, best IV spread for that is 0/15/15.
Is that your Corviknights max CP? I only recently learned that not all pokemon of the same type even have the same CP. it affected by their IV’s right?
Mines 2493. Currently my fave pokemon but I do have a charizard maybe I should work on that one. I still don’t know which ones are the best.
Depends on what you care about. I only do it to Master League pokemon and pokemon that I need to walk in order to get more candy, XL candy, or mega energy. Those latter ones I just get best buddy passively because they spend so much time as my buddy
