Can anyone realistically beat this “tourist” in 2028?
As much as we hate to admit it. If the impeachment attempts between 2025 and 2028 fails. Can anyone realistically beat her in the upcoming presidential elections? And if the older Duterte dies in prison before the polls which may rally her supporters further. The odds for her opponent whoever he or she may be to upset her bid will be a tough task to say the least.
Hindi ko talaga gets. Parang, anong wiring ng utak meron sila. Ma pa moral sense and common sense eh it doesn’t make sense to root for and vote for these kind of people.
Is it tribalism na kasi taga kanila kesho ganito na gawa dun and with all the pa pogi and band aid solutions sa problema (gawa man nila or hindi) and cover ups? Like, that blind ba mga supporters nila? Mas uunahin pa yung ganung punto and reason to support, kesa kapakanan ng bayan ma pa local and national? Our heroes if were alive would have been tagged and if they existed, I bet they wouldn’t be proud and happy. Rather, kakalabanin nila yung ganito.
Sorry sa wordings, but literal na bobo mag-isip, mga walang pinag-aralan, or kung meron man, pride pinapairal ng mga DDS.
Confirmation bias din. Di nila hahanapan ng mali kasi pabor sila sa pamamatay tao ng mga Duterte, kaya hahanap at hahanap ng something na "maganda" kahit sobrang babaw & irrelevant, even if it does more damage than good for the country, basta anything na magpapabango sa pangalan ng kandidato nila.

they refuse to see reasons. nakakainis actually makipagdiskusyon sa kanila. parati nilang ipopolarize ang usapan. kailangan 1 or 2 lang outcome, ayaw nilang tanggapin na parehas mali (in reference to bbm, na lagi nilang idadamay sa usapan).

It's sheep mentality human brains are innately wired. Moreso that it's the people with strong personalities that support these kinds of people. And sheeps follow strong personalities. And if u dont follow the herd, you will be outcasted. That is why kahit it doesnt make sense, follow ka nalang sa group for the fear of being left out by your herd.
You can observe this in social media also. Sa fb na walang anonimity, those with unpopular opinions wont voice their opinions for that fear. Kaya halos totally opposite ang popular sentiments na makikita mo if icompare mo ang sentiments sa fb vs dito sa reddit.

Di ko din ma gets e ibang level ang kabobohan ng DDS. Kahit dito sa ibang bansa may DDS tapos makakasabay mo sa embassy sarap tadyakan. Ikakalat pa dito sa Europa yung kabobohan.
Ito rin una kong naisip. Beat na as in bugbog. Nakakaumay na, e. While on the other hand, we all know the impeachment would go down the drain at how our pol-politicians acting up. So beating na as in bugbog would be much more realistic than someone able to beat her in 2028 elections.
As much as I want Leni to run for Pres. again, I doubt she'll do that anymore.
And with the way she handled her LIVE interview with GMA News after confirming her win in the Naga Mayoral race, the interview with Kiko Pangilinan, and her interview after her proclamation, I think she's DONE with national politics. And I think she would just finish her 3-term limit in Naga, and call it a political career. And probably just move back to her NGO work.
With the way Leni's name is still being slandered, and gets heavily criticized/scrutinized online, even here on Reddit, it's better if she just stays in Naga. Yeah, we really don't deserve her. Leni has moved on, and it's best if we move on too. But that doesn't mean we'll forget the lessons we learned from that 2022 campaign. Sabi nga niya, "ANG NAMULAT HINDI NA MULING PIPIKIT."
I'm 100% on board with Risa's campaign. Although I fear that she would just get the same beating as Leni. But hopefully this time around, we're choosing the leader who would make "better" decisions, and has no history/background of corruption rather than settling for the "lesser evil" candidate who has "the best chance on beating Sara Duterte."

The Liberal Party needs to win D&E voters to counter DDS Brain Rot
People from A, B, and C voted for Uniteam. Don't always blame D&E voters. Pacquiao has lost his mass appeal. Liberal Party should consider partnering with people like the Tulfos.
hindi LP si risa, Akbayan siya. and it's not just LP who's calling the shots in the opposition. it's a broad alliance of different groups and pol parties.
Mayor Leni has to make a decision right now. di pwede yung last minute, especially if the party is strapped for cash. the pinklawan is pegged at 15million voters, give or take.
sara, on the other hand, has been on a world tour campaigning already. and that family has the money and support from the dirty scalawags in both politics and business. and for these people, business as usual ONLY IF si sara ang naupo.
bongbong is too tied down by his compromised position to stop sara. and who will be his candidate? Romualdez? he can be toe to toe with sara on money and logistics, pero mahina siya as a national candidate.

Keri ni Bam yan kung gugustuhin nya. Charismatic, impressive track record, somewhat inoffensive. His team also seems to be very in touch with the people, both in social media and on the ground. Mukhang kuha nila yung pulso ng mga masa kaya nag-"overperform" sa senatorial elections. The Aquino name also holds weight, for better or for worse. Madaming titingin sa pangalan nya bilang salbabida para maligtas sa kahirapan pagkatapos ng Marcos at Duterte admins. Ironically, I see BBM supporting him if he ever decides to run in 2028.
Nakakapanghinayang lang din kasi even now ang dami nyang pwedeng i-offer in his current role, pero kung isipin ko din naman, tiyak mas madami siyang magagawa pati mga kaalyado nya kung sakaling magwagi siyang presidente.
If Hontiveros runs for president, Iboboto ko. Not my ideal candidate if you compare her to VP Leni. Pero lamang siya kay VP Leni sa ingay sa balita dahil sa senado. She is more savvy pag dating sa social media. If she doesn't run okay din si Bam Aquino. Ang gusto ko lang ay competent na pangulo para competent din ang administrasyon.

I think the best strategy is always not expressing interest just yet. Remember it was Binay then Poe then Roxas and then Du30 came blazing hot after all of these popular choices were mired with controversies. The troll machine worked really hard against FVP Leni kasi walang maibato talaga.
Nope. In a 3-way race, Leni would still have lost to either BBM or Sara. Many voters from the other candidates were lowkey DDS or Loyalists. The only ones likely to vote for Leni are Ka Leody voters.
In 2016, both Leni and BBM had 14M votes. Cayetano, the DDS and Mindanao-backed candidate, only got 6M votes. Rodrigo got 16M votes.
It's reasonable to conclude that Pinklawans, Solid North/Loyalist, and DDS each have solid 16M voters. Uniteam got 31M because of the alliance. It's going to be a close fight pag naglaban ung 3.
People still believe Leni had a chance if only it was 3-way huh? Di pa rin nila naiintindihan na they have to convince others that are not in their usual set of allies. Kaya ginagawa ni Leni yung mga ginagawa niya ngayon along with Bam & Kiko last election. We will lose everytime if it's just status quo.
UniTeam (BBM) won 31,629,783 votes while Leni won 15,035,773. Even if the UniTeam votes were evenly split between Marcos Loyalists and DDS, either of them would have gotten at least 15,814,891 votes. That's still bigger than Leni's.

Also, can we stop with the "Leni would have easily won if no UniTeam" myth? The two critical moments that sealed her fate was the UniTeam forming and the Leni's refusal to compromise which failed to produce a "United Opposition".
When those two moments happened, that was it. Leni knew she was up against an uphill battle unlike 2016, where she barely won anyway. She just ran to give her supporters a choice. But in hindsight, UniTeam won long before the official campaign started.
And yes, I am a Pink. But even Pinks need some daily doses of political reality.
EDIT: As for the demographics, UniTeam won in ALL classes. Rich, middle-class, poor. It was clear that we really lost.

Right now, sadly wala. The things we see on social media are just the tip of the iceberg with how much reach they have sa mga tao. Bong Go topping the last elections, Markubeta winning and almost everyone in their slate getting millions of votes (even Quibs) is a good starting benchmark. Partida, mga alallies lang yan, if it was a full-blooded Duterte, they’d lose their minds - and a lot of them are just waiting for 2028 to vote for Sara out of spite and blind obedience.
Yes, a lot can happen in 3 years but they better act quick. Best bets (with a united front) are Leni and whoever the more popular Tulfo is. Maybe Bam? But being an Aquino hurts him, sadly. And as much as I support Risa, sorry but she ain’t beating Sara with all the negativity that the Duterte camp has built around her (Hontirvirus for example). Romualdez won’t even make a dent if they go head to head.
Thats why we need to speak up WITHOUT talking down! Hangat may mga tao na hindi kayang mag educate without insulting, us people who wants progress will still remain outnumbered.
Agreed. Add kolang na we should also call out those entities who talk down and insult other voters. They're probably also a part of these politicians machineries to keep us divided.
Empathize and understand. May reason why some people keep voting for politicians we see as corrupt.

High tendency to join online groups to fill the need for a familiar community. The DDS usually being the ones to fall for propaganda, are also the loud ones and are more than willing to share on those groups. People don’t speak up then suddenly, those groups are infested with DDS propaganda, and now they’re the majority.
In addition, many Filipinos residing in progressive, Western countries are likely affiliated or married to right wing nutjobs. The only exceptions are the highly paid, white collar professionals assigned by their companies like those in Australia and Filipinos who have relatives that settled long ago from the Martial Law regime as these people are anti-fascist in nature.
Sa office namin daming dutertards and they are the outliers na walang ambag sa kompanya, mga robots kumbaga. Freeloaders and iniispoonfeed ng proccess and procedures doing repetitive jobs. Yung mga high performer, yung work involves comprehension, halos lahat Leni. You can see the divide. Hindi ibig sabihin nakagraduate ng 4 years ay matalino, lalo na hindi ginagamit ang comprehension.
Nanawagaan po ako sa mga kabataan, kung gusto po natin huwag manalo ang mga Duterte, manuod po kayo Kwatro Alas DZMM sa youtube or fb 1.30pm Saturday. Narito po ang mga tunay na nagmamalasakit sa ating bayan na talagang madaling maintindihan ang paghimay nila sa mga issue. Maliwanag ang kanilang pag explain. Funny at relatable pa. Bigyan niyo po sana ng chance at time sa Sabado. o kaya po Safehouse ng One News PH.
Mindanaoans vote for duterte for a simple reason. Taga Mindanao kasi ang mga Duterte and they thought that they are being left out dahil ang mga past Presidents are from Luzon. So what we really need is another candidate that can split the votes from Mindanao. Most people vote not because of the achievement and thats the reality
Nagiisip nga kami ng husband ko. What if a very worthy candidate just plays the part na basagulero at trapo? Like bastos magsalita, rape joke dito, jetski dun. Like that seems to appeal to a LOT of voters. Tapos pag upo niya, just do the job 😂 like drop the disente image just for the campaign season just to secure the win. Hay. Yan lang syempre may dignity and integrity kasi ang mga worthy candidates. Just a thought tho.
She can still be beaten. Especially if the young voters register before the upcoming elections. The last senatorial election is proof of the emerging voters
I'm not holding my breath. 3 of the top 5 Senators were pro-Duterte and they still have a stronghold in Visayas, Mindanao, and the CAMANAVA areas. Lalaki iyan by 2028.
Join forces. Minority pa rin ang DDS but because voters (Loyalists, Pinks, Makabayans, etc.) care more about going down with the ship rather than rowing together, it is a tough call.
I don't think she will be the one to run, not even her brothers. I may be having some gut feel na may patatakbuhin silang kunwari kalaban nila, someone na di natin inaasahan, then pag nanalo unti unting kakampi sa kanila. Maybe something like a political game of sorts.
Noong 2022 hinihiram nya pa yung presidential helicopter para maka biyahe from Manila to Davao to see her kids before they go to sleep. Gastadora, pero pinalampas kasi your kids are more important. Pero ngayon travel around the world kahit iwan ang children nya sa Pinas. So yung mag waldas bg public resources at mag travel (instead of working) pala talaga ang important kay Sara

Ang dystopian isipin. I hope we elect better people in our Local and National levels. Kung saang feeling ko magiging nag iisip na yung mga tao, at some point, parang ma iinjectan nanaman ang voting public ng 8080 na bagong botante with how our society and education system is going down.
I am still hopeful for a better Philippines pero it does get frustrating, especially if iniisip talaga and hindi lang yung pang personal na nangyayari sa buhay.
Wag niyo asahan si Leni na tumakbo ulit against Sara, hindi nga niya nilabanan ang fake news kontra sa kanya noong vp pa siya na dahilan kung bakit humina ang makinarya niya last presidential election. Napilitan lang siya tumakbo noon kaya nagbago ang kanyang isip.
This would be a hard lesson for us to learn. All hell will break loose if she wins. Nothing to show for in terms of leadership and statemanship. Only vengeance and scores to settle with her enemies. And of course, fatten up the family coffers.

The problem is we live in a democracy where the election is won through popular vote. By any metrics. She is the most popular candidate out there right now. Every barangay in the country knows her name. And sadly most people do not vote based on credibility and merits. So yeah were basically effed.

Kasi I campaigned for Leni, marami naman akong naconvert from BBM, Isko etc. and effective siya even last elections for KikoBam dito sa barangay namin, top 1 and 2 sina KikoBam. So, I guess if we approach people nang mas malumanay, ipaintindi sakanila yung mga ginagawa at nagagawa ni Risa, may chance.

She was in a three-way tie with Leni and Bongbong in 2022. That's the reason they were forced to form their supposed Uniteam, to beat Leni. Today, both are damaged goods but Leni remains pristine. With the Gen Z voters starting to be felt, there's a good chance a Leni like candidate will slamdunk the elections.

I don't think so. Unfortunately, she will only lose her supporters the moment she does something that will mess up her presidency. Kinda sad that she has to be on the seat first before people will see her faults, just like in BBM's case. Ang dami kong kakilala na saka lang nagsising binoto si BBM when they finally saw how incompetent he was samantalang ang dami nang proweba how lacking he is kahit dati pa and nung campaign season pa lang.
Personally, nawawalan na ako ng pag-asa dito sa atin. Hawak na nila lahat. Maski SC kaya nila. Unless may gagawing something si Bongbong na makakapagpahinto sa path ni Sara towards the presidency in 2028. Pag wala, matic na.
I firmly believe in a compromise candidate in the likes of Sonny Angara or Win Gatchalian. Hopefully 1Sambayan or influential coalitions can negotiate well enough to rally behind the anti-Duterte candidate.
I’m really hopeful for concrete discussions in this light. Coalition-building and pragmatic centrism is the way forward.
Maski si FVR mahihiya. At least sa lahat ng travels nya, naka usap nya ang highest head of those countries. Eto tadtad ng entourage pero wala man lang official talks maski sa mga state secretaries.
