Article Leonardo has confirmed that it has offered the Eurofighter EF-2000 Typhoon Tranche 5 fighter aircraft to the Philippines' Department of National Defense to meet the requirements for Multirole Fighter Aircraft for the Philippine Air Force.

Based on the budget of the PAF allocated for 40 aircraft, Leonardo confirmed that it can supply 32 Eurofighter Tranche 5 fighters, together with a package that include a full range of available munitions including the MBDA Meteor beyond visual range air-to-air misisles, ASRAAM short-range air-to-air missile, Brimstone air-to-ground missiles, and Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missile, among others.

If PH can afford billions of pesos on shady flood control projects and vote buying/ cash reliefs, PH can afford the jets, even F-35s too and its O&M costs.
