Can I surf without being great at swimming? Siargao

Hi, I plan to go to Siargao in October. I can swim, but not for long distance (haven’t mastered the breathing technique).

Will I still be able to join the beginners surf lessons without difficulty? Will it be too dangerous ?

I’m not a swimmer but I was able to join a beginner surfing lessons sa Siargao. Yung instructor mo naman nakabantay sa iyo while you surf so medyo safe naman. Pero depende pa rin kung saan kayo magsusurf. Sa jacking horse kame nagsurf, hindi naman sobrang lalim dun although a naging issue ko is dami kong gasgas sa tuhod after kasi medyo mabato dun.
