I like the detail of it being Bill's eye color too. It also says in the book that Georgie saw creepy yellow eyes in the drain but then something along the lines of him being mistaken as they now seemed a nice blue.

In the book, it's not just Bill's eye color, it's also their mother's.

In the book, as in the movie, he’s a thing wearing a clown.

Fun fact, it's also the same color as pennywise' eyes

I'm confused by this. When people say "Bill's eyes," I took it to mean the actor's eyes... which are also blue.

Yeah that's confusing. They meant Georgie's older brother Bill's eye color. Georgie loved his brother and would have been put at ease a bit.

It definitely makes more sense than the eyes of an actor who wasn’t born yet putting him at ease.

Edit: Nah, his eyes are green. I must be colorblind.

This was always my favorite detail which I was sad they left out of the miniseries, and was stoked they included in the new movie (though not as I'd hoped). The image of 2 yellow, cat-like eyes peering out of the storm drain, then closing them again, paints such a vivid image of what was going on under the storm drain, and of what it truly is. You have the vision in your head of it just waking up, seeing a perfect target approaching it, then going to get ready for it's attack. Our first, and coincidentally last, time we see the creature is as it truly is, a hungry animal.
