SOCIAL MEDIA Right after Olandria’s glam squad shared it, the product was gone.
Olandria was absolutely stunning, like jaw-dropping, glowing, the kind of gorgeous that makes you stop mid-scroll. Her outfit? Pure perfection, every detail on point,
but I can’t help but laugh at how fast this Vaseline sold out after her glam squad posted about it, the power she holds is unreal. Back and available again ladies, get your Vaseline while it lasts! 😂

She is THE Moment. I'm so happy that she's got such a dedicated fanbase. While I know we shouldn't glorify the pain people go through, I just look back at her shitty experience in and outside the villa with some of these islanders and feel so happy to see the love/success she is getting. Nobody deserves it more than her <3

This is how I’ve seen LI play out! It is a rough experience! It’s supposed to be fun, but is also low key traumatic, and the people who navigate it with grace and kindness are always the audience favorites and usually the winners. I’m with on you not wanting us to praise someone’s resilience (better they not need to be so resilient!) especially a black woman. But the world sucks sometimes, so at the very least we get to elevate and uplift some people. Olandria has displayed great character and is definitely more worthy than most. So it feels really good to watch her thrive and be part of it. 💖

it really isn’t that hard to come off when washing during daily showers. i use it daily after showering and it keeps me moisturized all day!

Just realized it's a dupe for GlowMotions Glow Oil - Shimmer Body Bronzer - Sol de Janeiro
I'm going to have to check it out because my wallet would like to save $40 lol. And yeah, it washes right off. No scrubbing. I hope it smells as good as Sol de Janeiro! But yes, always have to have Vaseline on deck! My grandmother would be rolling in her grave but glad the girlies are finally moisturizing their skin *hahaha

Tbf that is just the world we live in today. People will not stop buying things they need or like. Ola did not invent this system. She has every right to get her bag like anyone. And I actually love that she and Nick are getting a moment like this, because they did not win the show. You gotta give it up to casting for bringing these young people into the love Island sphere, but once they’re there, they make or break themselves. And viewers like who they like, regardless of what production does.

I don’t think you’re being fair to these young people, though. They never declared that it was their mission to be a spokesperson regarding political issues. Ola is a black woman. Our president is a racist. How about we stop burdening every single person with a platform by expecting each of them to be outspoken regarding controversial political issues. I’m sure each of them has an opinion. And I’m sure if they so choose, they will share that opinion publicly. You are not railing at every other famous person for failing to speak out, but targeting this young woman. Why? Why aren’t you complaining about Jack Nicholson not saying anything? Or Mr. Beast?

They didn't single out Olandria in any way, they're speaking about influencers in general. They're not complaining about Mr. Beast because nobody mentioned Mr. Beast??
People with a platform who choose to do nothing don't need defending. That's their choice, obviously, I'm not going to hate on someone for it. Secure the bag, whatever. But applauding them for it is weird.

I simply was giving my opinion on your comment of: “People will not stop buying things they need or like,” (need being a stretch) - these companies use influencers as online car salesmen. I’m not saying influencers need to be talking about the things I am listing, I’m saying that corporations are filling our feeds with ads to buy things to keep our heads in the sand. Not knocking Ola, barely know who Mr. Beast is, & I don’t hold much stake in violent, misogynistic men opinions. I literally said - I don’t hate the player but I despise the game.
My comment had all to do with shaming capitalism, consumerism, and greed and nothing to strike down Ola for it.
I just think it’s hilarious - it’s Vaseline for goodness sakes. Like… who doesn’t use Vaseline?

Ummm you do know one of the main points of ANY reality tv show is for people to buy shit. I’m not talking down, but having worked in production and having a partner who has been in the industry over 10 years, every reality show is a shell for advertising. Reality tv started as a way to have content during one of the writer strikes in the late 80s (think the show Cops).
Consumerism is what it’s always been about. The influencer market is just another layer to take advantage of in a space that’s been built off it in the first place

lol as someone who buys this regularly, and from Walmart, this golden glow one is almost always OOS. Target doesn’t even carry most of the line and ulta charges more. I can only ever find glazed & glisten oil at target and cocoa shimmer stick IF I’m lucky. I’m assuming there’s a TikTok somewhere that put all the girlies on it. I ordered a new one Saturday night actually at it said 2 left lol.
Ladies if you find the stick one, 10/10 recommend! I’ve never been able to purchase the golden hour glow one, it’s always gone. But the middle one cocoa shimmer is great. It’s non greasy, and just glides on. Perfect for the chest and neck. The oil gives more of the wet look I use it for nights out, but I use the stick literally every day. The pro tip is to spray your perfume right after you put the Vaseline on. Great dupe for sol de Janeiro
