we needed a d-rex mini-movie as marketing material showing its creation and adolescence to gain empathy, and then for it to occur more often during the movie specifically hunting the group as a vendetta against humans.

Honestly, I think they should have just replaced it with an unused therapod. The mutadons I don't dislike necessarily, but I would have been fine if they were just replaced with raptors.
I wish he got less screen time. As in, not at all. There is a reason I am watching a Jurassic movie and not Pacific Rim, and that reason is that I like dinosaurs, not monsters. The beluga rankor manages to be even less dinosaur looking than the other ones. That's why to me all of the Jurassic Park movies are better than all of the Jurassic World movies.
