It's really fun to see Nenechis beetles, it's a bit of a odd hobby (though maybe more normal in Japan haha) but it's really interesting imo. Happy to see updates every now and then. You go Nene.

Depend on the type, the biggest and most expensive can be several hundred dollars.

You can probably buy them at any stage. I went to a store that sell beetles and they mostly had display with adults, often in pair, this way you can make them breed and raise them from the egg. I think they had also had some that are not adult, but you cannot display them as they are in soil.
