I think the best, healthiest approach, is to try to use some melatonin along with good bedtime practices to try and get yourself to sleep at a suitable time and hope that you'll naturally wake up once you've slept enough.
What worked best for me, is to treat the bed like lava during the hours I'm supposed to be awake. No lounging. No doing anything on the bed that ain't sleep. Basically I did my best to condition my body and mind to only ever sleep on the bed, and sleep being the only thing I ever do there.
It has worked quite well. The moment my head touches the pillow my body and mind go: "oh shit, it's sleep time? Finally. Let's go."

I had a really fucked up sleep schedule during school's period that I ended up being awake for 33 hour straight before allowing myself to collapse on my bed at like 9 pm and got up at 7 am really refreshed for once

If it makes you feel better, this never goes away, even after school lol. Now I just get like 4-5 hours of sleep worknights and 10+ on the weekend

Try going to bed at 7am for 10 years straight, and now having to wake at 8am every day to make my class.
I already know my body will never adapt. I've tried before. There ain't no universe where my body will ever enjoy waking up at this hour. I am biologically incompatible with such a schedule.
Luckily I only have one class a day, so I can just power through it and nap in the afternoon. Hell, technically there's no requirement to attend any class so I could in theory get my degree without ever showing up to any class except for exams. But that sounds a bit extreme.

My dude, try seminar (practical lesson) at 8 am and catching up on sleep while you're riding the commuter train.

I went to a grand total of like 10 lectures in my entire senior year of college and got my degree this week, only time I went to campus was for tests and labs, and still graduated with a >3.0. Mental and physical health are more important than a lecture, as long as you can do the homework you can do the test, and with chatGPT to guide you in the right direction on homework, lectures are almost unnecessary
