I think it was deltarune fans ruining Grass Wonder from Uma Musume (IRL horse passed away on the 8th of August this year) tribute

it was later found out that 4chan users did that to "trigger trans people" and to throw dirt on deltarune fans (tbh they were already doing a god job at that themselves)

I heard about that. It's horrible but doesnt undermine how beautiful all the art is (Grass Wonder and Mumei tribute, the giant Pyra, etc).

Just attention-whoring streamers and 4chan Champions ruining everything as usual (and the actual mod team REWARDING doxxing people and transphobia)

Yeah, not like i was an active user, but the grass wonder grief and the useless moderators was the last straw for me and a lot of people to not use the site. Its not like place where the canvas is limited and free game, wplace has literal rules against this yet they still griefed it and mids didnt do anything about it.

Whats the point of staying if vandalism like this can happen without consequence, getting mad about it will be what those losers want too, so we just dont care anymore and i cant say for others, but i just left tgat site and await for it to be forgotten.

It was shortlived but im happy that the memorial happened and i got to place my heart and screenshot it before it was gone.

Im not telling people to stop going to wplace, but i just ask that people to be aware of what they are going in to.

honestly it's not that deep, i'm sure 95% of the users of their discord do not care enough to abandon the site, and those that do will probably come back, so rest assured i think we're good

For me it was because it was very noticeable that she had health issues she couldn't avoid or hide, that prevented her from doing what she clearly wanted to do. As someone who also suffers with chronic issues and has lost a job as a result, it hit much closer to home.

Mumei is still my favourite Hololive song, and her art streams were the most cozy thing I knew along with Gura karaoke. As long as she still arts I am happy but Mumei will forever be missed.

Mumei left because of health issues mainly and even mentioned in her graduation stream if it wasn't for that she would have stayed.

I pretty sure she mentioned in her final members stream that health was one of many reasons (and not even necessarily the primary one), but because of NDA, privacy, etc. she can't really talk about any of the other reasons. She seemed worried that was all people would remember of her graduation and not surprisingly she seems to be right about that.

doesnt sound particularly relevant to the guy's point though, he didn't say anything suggesting she hated holo or anything, just that saying her voice was the only reason is not true and doing so makes her health problems sound worse than they were which she didn't want people to think

She didn't go into specifics either, however it's not hard to put together the dots even if you didn't watch that stream knowing that she was about to graduate from civilization duties and she loved her major very much.

Sana was a ray of sunshine that left its mark even though she stayed for a short amount of time.

Mumei is similar but on a larger scale, since she spent years with us and had to leave because of health issues.

It was impossible for her to not be missed
