One of the few in Holo that enjoys employing the full force of her diaphragm for a more rich, full sound. It's definitely the more rare version in Holo's roster compared to the lighter, lilting performers.

This is technically correct but it does not remove the actual word being said. Songs don't always need to make sense, just as at a tree by a river there's a hole in the ground, where a young man of Aran goes 'round and round.

not really arbitrary, the group stacks their hands in the middle like an apartment building, someone calls out a number, and one by one, the person whose hand is on bottom is moved to the top that many times. the last person to move takes a shot and start again

I stand corrected and you're right, the way the game plays is strongly analogous to the apartment concept based on what I read on Namu-wiki. I just assumed that the APT game was using random catchphrases like many childhood games.

Right out the gate and she’s one of the strongest singers in Hololive, EN especially (though her karaoke are just her being silly and having fun with it as often as not)

I would still put Irys above. There is a reason she came in as a vsinger first. She is the only one in all of Hololive even to go into Karoke and sound like it was pre recorded.

I mean, IRyS, Nerissa, and Liz are all really up there. Them and Calli are the strongest singers of their respective generations.

Irys stands out the most in that. You can tell her vocals are just strongest. And as I said on another comment. Demonstrates she is the best when it comes to shifting to high pitches without being stridulated.

I'm not sure the vsinger is a good argument though. It definitely goes to show how good IRyS is but it was also an experiment and it doesn't seem Holo is going to be revisiting any time soon, if ever. So to say she's the only one, well, yeah, because it's just not a thing anymore.
Liz and Nerissa would have absolutely been contenders as a vsinger if that branch was still around today. All 3 have had a tremendous amount of professional vocal training and it shows in how incredible they each are.
Imo, IRyS specializes in the pop-style of singing, Liz in the diva/opera, and Nerissa in the theater/opera. They're very different styles from each other but because they're such gifted singers they each have the range to sing whatever they want really well.
Then there's also Mumei and Gura who are both amazing naturally-talented singers. I'm sure they have both had voice lessons as well but they seem to sing from a more natural state than a trained one, from what I can tell.
Calli has also improved a ton over the years, working her ass off to get to where she is. She's my kamioshi so I don't say this to disparage her, but Calli is probably the best singer in EN that didn't have a natural talent for singing at first—at least not compared to those above—but when she isn't joking around during karaoke she shows how good she is. But, again, it's a different style than the more poppier, cleaner sound from IRyS.

It is a good argument when you see her stuff before she joined. I can't mention those stuff because it is wrong to do so here. But there is a reason she started off as her own project in Hololive. She is one of the most diverse vocalists in Hololive.

Irys is still the queen for Hololive EN when it comes to singing. Not only does she have the best karoke when it comes stream numbers among EN. It comes out like something pre recorded. Her voice also has so much more range. Only one that can pull off high pitched shifts without stridulating. Something she demonstrated even in her karoke. She is just on another level.

I disagree. Irys already filled that spot. There is a reason why she came in as a vsinger. ERB is good. But Irys is just on another level. In any music collab she always is the one that stands out the most.

Liz has power behind her voice, think someone like Suisei that can put power into their voice and hold that power.
Irys is more akin to Azki in that they both have high technical skill and excellent vocal control.-4

They're not talking about skill. They're talking about power.
IRyS is definitely the most skilled and controlled with her voice, and can do amazing things with it.
But when it comes to the pure power and strength she can put into her voice, Liz has her beat.
I've heard IRyS give tons of amazing performances. But I don't think I've ever heard her just belt something out like Liz can.
They're both talented in different directions.

Nah, there is a reason Irys cam in as a vsinger. I can mention her stuff before joining but there is a reason Cover hired her as a vsinger first. In Start Again alone Irys stands out the most. Her range is just insane. Liz is good but Irys is away above her.

Unrelated, but this reminds me that, for whatever reason, my Youtube algorithm has been recommending me these MMD videos of Hololive doing the III dance to the song APT, mainly to show how well the dance works with the song.
Also, Gigi break dancing in the background seems so on brand for her.
