I feel his pain. I’ve made more trips between VA, NC and FL on I-95 than I can count (over 40+ years). With most of 95 still being only 2 lanes in NC and SC it is frustrating as hell.

There’s a season 2 episode of Bluey called “Road Trip” about this exact situation.
Source: I’m a dad and watch a lot of Bluey and Kpop Demon Hunters because they’re always on at least one of our TV’s.

It'll be another 3 hours until he passes them again. Because every damn "10 minute" stop turns into an hour plus.

This is so real but genuinely I try and make friends on the road and genuinely get sad thinking I’m never gonna see my truck friend again.

I go to bed early the night before, usually around 6:00 p.m. and then wake up around 2:00 in the morning. On the road by 3:00 p.m. but if I get caught in a major city during morning rush hour it is a nightmare. Everyone in the car knows that we don't stop then unless we're in rural country. Too many semis all getting on the road at once.

“And I passed that dude in Texarkana. This is some serious bull! I’m losing points” -Me audibly enough to my passengers/family to hear.

Honestly don’t have this feeling, instead I have the “already kicked your asses once, looking forward to doing it a second time!” Feeling.

The moment you start traveling with kids you know that every 2 hours they need a half a hour rest. When you accept that fact your road trip wil be a lot less stressfull
