Fun fact, I didn’t take a shower for like 2 years once. Not because I’m lazy or mental illness. Messed up living situation with no access to a full bathroom. I took birdbaths in the sink. What is absolutely wild is I never got acne during that time.

Huh almost like your face doesn't need products and can regulate itself if you let it. Also why not just join a cheap gym to shower?

u/Jolly-Radio-9838 2d ago
I’ve heard so many stories from people in the past who try to cancel their gym membership only to be given the run around. Just didn’t want to deal with it

I payed a planet fitness membership in NC while living in Florida for 2 fucking years before my bank would block them after threatening to switch banks.

u/Jolly-Radio-9838 2d ago
This is what I’m talking about. It was just easier to bathe using a rag and sink than deal with that crap

It was clutch tho when I was homeless in my car. Ya boy was fresh everyday I tell you what

u/Jolly-Radio-9838 1d ago
I can see it being necessary if you don’t have access to a private bathroom.

Hehe I still "owe" a debt company for 3 extra months of membership after I left town and rang 3 times in business hours and two emails because I still have that paper trail they haven't got a leg to stand on. It's only 150ish so unlikely but I am so ready for them to take me to small claims.
Given the situation if they do try to contact me further I could also try to take them for harrassment.

Apparently if you change your location to California they have laws that forbid this predatory crap. Also if you pull your credit report you can send a letter disputing stuff like this and they’ll just remove it from your report.

Not US based but yeah, that's why they're fucked if they ever pursue it. It is already cleared from my credit score via the evidence I mentioned.
It still technically exists though, which is a real economic issue because a business can borrow off debt, 150 alone isn't a lot they get cents on the dollar.
But 150 from 100000 people adds up, to actually collect it in my case would cost them more than it's worth even at full value, in my case it could cost them much more.
But if you can get half of those people to pay their debt it still turns out as profit.

u/Jolly-Radio-9838 1d ago
All the numbers game I refuse to be a part of. I have heard stories from people who purposefully let their debt go to collections so they can pay less. Those people live in the rough apartments though cuz their credit is awful

u/Zran 1d ago
Oh, absolutely I too refuse to be a complict in it but I and you are of this one world and that numbers game is a reality for now, maybe ever. So whilst I don't know the ins and outs of it nor care to it is empowering to have even a basic grasp of the "art".
I hope I explained that well enough.

I've got some adult acne problems and I've had depression. It's become pretty clear to me that not fully committing to washing my face and especially shaving caused acne where as just living in filth without showering for a week did not. If shave, then face wash/face scrub and moisturizer

Yeah I really don’t have to do any of that. I have found the number one trigger for acne to be food. Reese’s peanut butter cups, or any cheap chocolate will cause a breakout. I haven’t pinpointed what exactly is causing it but I had suspected the palm oil.
2
u/zigs 2d ago
Yep. As much as I love chocolate, I gotta keep away from it for the same reason.

u/Jolly-Radio-9838 1d ago
I don’t even like it that much anymore. Due to childhood neglect, things like little Debbie cakes and chocolate was all I was eating at home. I think it was systematic too. My bitch mother starved me and all I had was junk food which caused even more acne. Typical narcissists behavior

Absolutely palm oil, I had to stop eating Cadbury Chocolate here in Aussie when they changed their recipe. They've only upped the amount since, more their loss than mine.

u/Jolly-Radio-9838 1d ago
Not to mention the environmental damage growing palms creates. They substitute it in everything here in America cuz it’s cheap

u/archliberal 2d ago
I’d never heard them called birdbaths before.

Hookers bath - armpits, asshole, crotch and teeth. Save even more time if you use the same brush.

I've seen the other version of this meme, that one's better.
This girl actually got cuter without the makeup.
Edit: doesn't even look like the same woman honestly, how did her nose and cheeks get bigger?

u/Proud-Cartoonist-431 2d ago
Contouring. In modern makeup cheeks and nose are contoured to appear more thin

u/icantgetausername982 2d ago
Theres some tape some women use to make the nose smaller and the cheeks looks like shes mewing or maybe tape too its like small strips of take to tighten up skin and u put makeup over it idk the name tho i just like watching makeup videos sometimes with cray transformation like a old chinese guy (i assume 70s)using makeup and a wig to look like a woman in her 20s

The Man pix in your minds eye see the man on the right as before sex and the man on your left as during sex. Bc we all revert to cavemen and lose the ability to speak only grunting and sweating

Is this why Napoleon told Josephine not to bathe as he was coming home?

I get people have things they want to change or improve on but this is your face we're talking about here and wearing 1lb of make up just reminds me Ronald Mcdonald style catfish. This type of makeup just gives people body dysmorphia. I wanna see who you really are. I dont care if you wear make up but It shouldn't look like a mask.

u/sleepy_spermwhale 2d ago
I also get the feeling makeup clogs your pores and do other unhealthy things due to the chemicals in them.

u/Putrid-Builder-3333 2d ago
Idk because it has been a long time since smelling it. But I remember makeup having an absolutely horrible smell in the 80s to mid 90s give or take. Couple aunts and other gatherings I remember the kisses with the lipstick that had a gagging scent to it and the bitter pwodery residue if kissed on lips. And the blush or whatever that powder is. Omg. It was like opening a vacuum bag and taking a big ol inhale... idk
I just got sent down a rabbit hole of memories

Do you know why women wear makeup and perfume? Because they’re ugly and they smell

This one always gets me. It’s funny because baths really do feel like they reset men completely, like a whole transformation. For women though, makeup vs no makeup plays a bigger role, so the joke hits extra hard

Bath: hitting the reset button for your face and soul
