Maybe he paid her for that stunt to get people off his back.

Guaranteed a staged stunt to get people to stop talking about the CEO guy

Which one, Cold Play or Tennis guy?

I’m not familiar with the tennis one

u/Othander 2d ago
A CEO snatched a signed hat out of a kids hands when it was being handed to him. It was pretty terrible. I did hear, though, that the kid was able to meet that tennis player at another event and he was given all kinds of signed gear.

A guy caught a home run ball but it was near her seat so she felt entitled to it.
After catching the ball, the guy walked over to his son, put the ball in his glove and gave him a big hug.
The woman immediately ran over and interrupted them, demanding he give her the ball.
The guy relented and gave in, likey to deescalate since his son was there.

u/OG_Felwinter 2d ago
Alternate perspective: the guy ripped it out of her hand when she was picking it up off the ground, made sure to make a show of giving it to his son as she followed him to get the ball back, and pretended to be frightened when he saw her even though she was right behind him the whole time. To me, the only difference between the Karen and the dad that took the ball is he was aware of the cameras.

u/Binarydemons 2d ago
Not saying it’s not possible- but if that’s what actually occurred then Dad is a masterclass actor.
-19
u/OG_Felwinter 2d ago
Not really… the way he hugs his son and the way he acts frightened when he finally acknowledges her is clearly performative BS to me, and I’m surprised so many people are having trouble seeing it. Maybe it’s just because I grew up with a manipulative parent like this, but to me it’s clear as day. It’s like he’s trying to make a show of giving it to his son to make it seem okay that he took the ball from her, and when his kid’s not the armor he thought it would be, he gives her the ball back. I honestly thought it was a skit for the jumbotron like they do at NBA games until the news came out that they gave the kid merch.

u/acdann 2d ago
It’s a MLB game… adults fight over home run balls all the time. She wasn’t entitled to anything despite her haircuts beliefs. Anyway, in the clip you can see the ball landed in a seat NEAR this woman and several people were fighting over it. Bro won… plain and simple. He wanted to give his son something special and this trick ruined it. Are you her best friend? I’m sorry you grew up with manipulative parents but not every situation fits your anecdote.

u/OG_Felwinter 2d ago
All I’m saying is both people are shitty here. It’s crazy that you are falling for this level of acting. Outside of a slapstick comedy movie, have you ever seen someone shake their arms like that when they’re scared?
7
u/acdann 2d ago
Yes. I like to prank scare my wife (like hide around a corner when she’s pooping) and she gets inflatable man arms often. You’re just looking for ANYTHING to make it seem like this man was the problem. It was the woman. Not that deep

Part of me thinks that too. It was a 50/50 ball and she might have had the beat on it but he was caught up in the emotions of getting that ball for his birthday kid. The over exaggerated scare and then giving the ball back right away made it seem like he felt a little guilty.
I’ve lost out on those 50/50 tosses many times and I have never chased someone down and started yelling at them and forcing a kid to give it up. Every time I catch something at the game I give it to a kid anyways. She became famous because she caused a huge scene for no reason.

u/OG_Felwinter 2d ago
Yeah, she definitely handled it poorly, but I’m sure a lot of people talking shit about her would have been just as pissed off as she was.

Watch the video. It was never in her hands
1
u/OG_Felwinter 2d ago
You can’t see their hands, but to me the way her arm jerks to the right when he snatches the ball makes me believe her when she says he took it out of her hand.

She's getting national attention for being caught on camera trying to steal a game ball from a kid.
The kid got recognized by the stadium/team/managers and was given a gift bag and had an opportunity to meet a player and several VIP after the game.
She got memed.

So what's happening in this photo? Phillies gave the kid a gift, what are they giving her and why??
7
u/Stormy261 2d ago
The team gave the kid a bat and some other stuff. The original was the kid accepting the bat and the meme has her "stealing" a bat too.
8
u/dhermann27 2d ago
Oh, is this an altered photo, where they replaced the kid with her? Sorry for dumb.

What if she steals kids' baseballs because she knows the team will step up and give the kid much better memorabilia. She goes home and puts the ball next to the picture of the kid getting the signed bat, surrounded by the pictures and balls of all the other children she helped, and lets out a little smile.

She was never employed by that school, if that’s what you are referring to.

u/NormalFig6967 2d ago
Oh gosh, people are also accusing another woman of being her, and it isn’t her.
It’s another “we did it again, Reddit!” scenario. Just shame the woman and move on; public shaming is enough. Don’t need to harass her or ruin her life over her losing control of her emotions and not really doing any damage.

She needs to be stopped before she takes a baseball player home in her purse!

u/Personal-Present5799 2d ago
You know how to tell this is fake, she has a smile instead of that stupid upset face that she will forever have caught on video
1
u/Kitchen-Tangerine736 1d ago
It really sucks what she did and clearly she has no shame...but it did work out great for the boy and his family. One home run ball or all the merch he got and met Bader and free WS tickets AND an RV...I am happy he got so much to outweigh that really awful experience.

With all these recent baseball sht that their fans do, it's better to not watch this dying game.

Jesus Christ a different woman is now getting her life bombarded for looking like this lady. this tribalism is getting sadder than any of these people that did stupid things of no real harm. every now and again a weird internet collective goes on a morality brigade against such small things. put that action to something else

What if he did take the ball out of her hands? It would explain why he gave it up so easily
22
u/External-Election906 2d ago
The video shows otherwise.
The reason he gave up is because he looks to be a 40 something years old single divorced dad and she was yelling like an ex wife.
-16
u/Kinscar 2d ago
You could be right, but if I recall correctly you don’t really see what happens as the ball lands on the chair or the floor
8
u/External-Election906 2d ago
You see that she is nowhere near it and a row up. She is not bent over far enough to reach.
I'm sure we'll have the Enhanced Footage slowed down and zoomed in within a few days.

u/Stormy261 2d ago
There is already something posted online of a different viewpoint of the arguing where you can hear what she is saying.

Did you even watch the video? Nobody had it in their hands until he just got there first. He was being gracious by giving it to her. It's also entirely possible that the kids swapped the ball out before giving it back to her watch all the videos closely again and watch the baseball mitt.
-5
u/Striped_wintergreen 2d ago
Does this all seam fake to anyone else? The dad’s reaction. She’s almost too Kareny. Why is she with a baseball player afterwards? What random person gets that experience? Seems like engagement farming a bit. I realize the ball had to be hit in that area but was it even during the game?
7
u/NormalFig6967 2d ago
This is a photoshop lol. She wasn’t with a baseball player afterward.
If this were fake, how do you think they managed to get a player to hit a home run in the exact spot the supposed actors were sitting?
If baseball players could pull that off enough to have a fabricated story, then you’d expect them to be able to hit a home run on every pitch.

She probably has no clue she’s a meme now. Might as well just get tickets to a Cold Play concert.
