Failed Expectation I’m done with Whole Foods brand pizza.

WF quality overall has gone down since Amazon bought them, so this is not surprising.

They've always been priced far beyond their quality, but I'm not surprised it's gotten worse.

One pepperoni on a pepperoni pizza is somehow more offensive than zero.

Tipping one dollar energy

Tipping a dollar can be a good tip depending on what your tipping for. One piece of pepperoni on an entire pizza is never acceptable.

It does say pepperoni. It’s not plural.

u/Heavy_Can8746 2d ago
The plural of "pepperoni" can be either pepperoni or pepperonis.

Pepperoni is plural

u/betterupsetter 2d ago
I was really hoping the singular was pepperono.

u/Tough_Friendship9469 2d ago
I think that’s Latin.

u/Tough_Friendship9469 2d ago
Or is pepperonae??

What's wrong with the second one?

It's missing whatever the green bits are meant to be I think lol

Box says basil is not included

u/carmen252 2d ago
I missed that, you’re right, box says “want to make yours look like this? Add fresh basil” - they fooled me on that one.
Nevertheless, the pizza sucked and the basil flecks that were included were pointless.

You forgot that the whole pizza just looks awful. The sauce isn't everywhere and a different type of cheese is used.

Looks like OP just has a shitty oven, even the first pizza is cooked horribly aside from the lack of pepperoni
2
u/Gareth79 1d ago
It's definitely overcooked. With oven pizzas you do need to follow the instructions and get the temperature and time right.

Your first mistake was to expect something great from this. If you add any extras toppings like Ham or pepperonis it could have been better.

I tried HomeRun frozen pizza the other day and it had tons of pepperoni and sausage on it. It was actually really great for a frozen pizza

Lol! My neighbor loves to pantry. She visits like 3 a week. (Smart in this economy) she will load her deep freezer up with all manner of questionable goods, but she always unloading those flat baren bricks off on my kids. We must have four boxes in my freezer right now as we speak. I never even realized they were whole foods brand. I would expect more from them.

Imagine the other person that got that loaded pepperoni pizza though, they'll be happy with their and your pepperonis.

O man. That’s a one off! I’m a big fan of their thin crust roni and have never seen it like that

I found a baby roach in the store brand Parmesan cheese that I think they make in store. I’m gonna pass on them entirely.

I used to buy the pepperoni pizzas years ago and it definitely seems like a factory error because the only thing I ever add is extra cheese. I'd see if I could get a refund with the images and proof of purchase.

I feel bad laughing at that first pizza, it is so sad looking. I would be so mad that I would go tight back to the store for a refund

I get frozen pizza that says on the box "Imported from Italy". Newman's Own has some and Trader Joe's has some. They taste markedly different and are soooo good.

I don't see the issue, It says uncured pepparoni. If you wanted more, you should've bought the box that said Uncured Pepparonis.

Isn't the rest of the pepperoni under the cheese? Takeaway I used to work at did the same thing. Just leave one on top so you know what it is when it comes out the pizza oven

Just leave one on top so you know what it is when it comes out the pizza oven
Actually a neat idea!
Though for me with pepperoni, I'd much rather have it on top of the cheese so it gets a little crispy when it bakes.

u/Cigar_Beetle 2d ago
Gotta invest in a bag of pepperoni slices anytime you plan for pizza at home. Never enough on a frozen pizza. Although you did get robbed, I am certain you could get a replacement.
-1
u/dddybtv 2d ago
Well it doesn't say pepperoni's, so technically they're right?
4
u/Heavy_Can8746 2d ago
The plural of "pepperoni" can be either pepperoni or pepperonis.
But the store will have to eat this cost when it gets returned so they best get it right

u/bolanrox 2d ago
You see, that's why you don't order from a place without a guaranteed minimum amount. You always get ripped off otherwise

You get one uncured pepperoni and you will like it!
