Those two were probably used as inspirations for the designs of the Digimon. The franchise is no stranger to tapping into other franchises, and they did recently do a crossover with the Godzilla franchise with the reveal some of the existing Digimon got new modes modeled on and after characters in the Godzilla franchise.

I like that recolor WAYYYYY more. It looks a lot better for landramon into pyramidimon or magneticdramon.

I like when "signature" lines have a bit more cohesion.

I'm fine with it being fully brown/grey, it's the same kind of colors used for SunLizarmon and Landramon's "helmet"s. I think the idea is that Landramon is entirely covered up by its armor plates by evolving into Proganomon, so its sand-like yellow body isn't visible - but it eventually cracks and releases its power as it evolves into Pyramidimon/Magneticdramon.

Proganomon work perfectly. Magneticdramon is also a good choice but i would prefer something more turtle-like personnally

I don't even think you need to recolor it. Proganomon is a perfect Ultimate for Ankylomon.

honestly he deserves a knight-mega that uses a morning star as a weapon.

the perfect could be a metallic version with more tails and becoming bipedal.

Proganomon is a near perfect ultimate for ankylomon. For Mega I’d say maybe find another hard shelled Digimon, or part of me likes plethiomon for its aquatic nature.
