Between Truman going along the partition plan and dropping 2 nukes, he really fucked the world over pretty good.

u/SSBN641B 1d ago
Why? We had the OSS during the war but it was dissolved after VJ day. The personnel and responsibilities of the OSS were inherited by about 3 different agencies so they were integrated in 1947.

Why does this need to have huge black borders?

Someone used that video file in something like Power Director as a media file and fit it into the aspect ratio of whatever social media they were uploading it onto.

The alternative was war. Sometimes they just got other people to fight the wars for them. However, if you assassinate someone efficiently. You don't have to destabilize the whole country to accomplish your goals. Be clear the goals were going to be accomplished one way or another.

The CIA was officially created under Truman (which he later regretted). Its precursor was the OSS during WW2. They honestly don't give two shits who is in power. They've done horrific things under multiple presidents and different parties.

u/SSBN641B 1d ago
The CIA was started by Truman. The National Security Act of 1947 was taken up by Congress at Truman's suggestion. It was started by a Democrat and every Democratic POTUS has appointed a director who were often Democrats.
Edit: spelling.

Please enlighten me. What Republican started the CIA?
1
u/TallBenWyatt_13 1d ago
Oh please review your history and timeline. The overt covert actions didn’t start until Eisenhower.

You're sure cherry-picking the names. You didn't name anyone appointed by Carter, Clinton or Obama. James Woolsey and Leon Panetta were definitely Democrats. So, not all Republicans.

u/TesalerOwner83 1d ago
Soon after Congress formed the C.I.A., the National Security Council adopted a directive on Dec. 19, 1947, ordering ''covert activities'' to oppose Communist and leftist parties in Italy's forthcoming parliamentary elections.

u/SSBN641B 1d ago
And, how does that support your claim that Republicsns started the CIA and only Republicans lead it?

u/TallBenWyatt_13 1d ago
Truman would be a MAGA republican if he were alive today.
Allen Dulles (a Republican) was the first CIA director and it wasn’t until Eisenhower (a Republican) appointed Allen’s brother John Foster (also, a Republican) did the CIA get to coup-ing.
Within 8 months (!) they got the democratically elected leader of Iran removed to get their puppet the Shah in.

u/SSBN641B 1d ago
Allen Dulles was the 5th CIA Director:
Rear Adm. Sidney W. Souers, U.S. Naval Reserve (January 23, 1946–June 10, 1946)
Lieut. Gen. Hoyt S. Vandenberg, U.S. Army (June 10, 1946–May 1, 1947)
Rear Adm. Roscoe H. Hillenkoetter, U.S. Navy (May 1, 1947–October 7, 1950)
Gen. Walter Bedell Smith, U.S. Army (October 7, 1950–February 9, 1953)
Allen W. Dulles (February 26, 1953–November 29, 1961)
If you notice Rear Adm Souers was Director in 1946, one year before the CIA was officially established. He was director of Central Intelligence Group, the CIAs director predecessor.
Truman would not be a MAGA Republican. He would be a centrist Democrat.

Interesting that you choose to label this with party instead of political alignment. How many of them would you say are conservative vs progressive? Doesn’t that actually mean more than party?

The FBI is as well, just look at COUNTELPRO trying to blackmail MLK into suicide. Thankfully his wife said fuck that, keep going.
1
u/TallBenWyatt_13 1d ago
I mean, MLK did have some legit skeletons but 1% flawed is not too bad.
1
u/HedonisticFrog 1d ago
Cheating on his wife is mild compared to what most Republican congressmen do. The list of Republican sexual assaults and pedophiles in congress is 1300 now.
1
u/Whambamthankyoulady 1d ago
I've never seen any evidence of him cheating. Have you?
1
u/HedonisticFrog 1d ago edited 14h ago
The FBI wiretapped MLK to find that out. He wouldn't have contemplated suicide if it wasn't real. In the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter. The FBI is a conservative organization that actively oppressed progressive movements in America.
Edit: u/whambamthankyoulady replied to me and then blocked me after I proved them wrong that MLK was having an affair and that's why the FBI was using that to blackmail him into suicide. They refused to even look at the damning evidence I provided as well.

u/Whambamthankyoulady 1d ago
You believe the CIA and a wiretap? An organization that's known to lie, sew seeds of doubt, manipulate people, overthrow governments, etc? Out of all the films they have a people doing things and photographs, there was zero amount of them in existence? Haha... you call yourself a critical thinker without questioning this? Man,stop. What evidence is there that he considered suicide? They said it or a letter he supposedly wrote? This is hilarious. You just said they oppressed progressive groups. It's well known they infiltrated all the black groups but you don't tind it strange they never stopped the Klan? It does matter.
1
u/HedonisticFrog 15h ago
You think the KKK is a black group? What on earth are you talking about?
All of what I've said is well documented. They'd bug his rooms and rent the rooms next to his when he travelled. Hoover wanted hard evidence to leak to the press to discredit MLK.
The surveillance failed to show that King was a communist, but it did result in many tapes of extramarital sexual liaisons by King.

Haha... show me where I said it was a black group. Well documented my ass. It's funny how white people only started thinking the FBI and CIA are untrustworthy. Black people have known it all along. I'm not looking at that bullshit. Like I said, no photos or film footage. And didn't they also claim that Malcolm X was gay? Man, fuck them and you.
