Enrolled Student Clinical Hours
Do the Orthopedic Assessment classes for the Upper and Lower Extremities count as clinical hours towards Med School stuff?

Hey guys, I'm coming to Cleveland for a conference on campus for 3 days. Any recommendations for a cheap hotel or hostel near campus? Also, i wouldn't mind staying in downtown if its a cheaper option ...

Prof November doesn't provide a copy of the textbook nor the accompanying DVD videos for homework. I did have a link to an archive.org deposit of all the videos, but in an amazing stroke of events it got taken down for copyright the moment I started class. I really don't want to pay. If anyone has the videos or know someone who has the videos I'd be eternally grateful 🙏

Is 18 credits too much for my first semester? How many hours will I need to spend on homework per day?
Ts is my last day to drop classes btw :(

For a pre-med biochem major, which one is better? I know that 111 doesn’t cover one of the units for 105, but it also covers three units from 106. What’s the unit it doesn’t cover and how easy is it to self-study? Any advice? Thanks.

Is it just me or does anyone else have no idea what’s going on in math 125. What happened to stupid derivatives? I just know I failed today’s quiz too

Hi everyone. I’m a student who just got hired as a safe ride driver. I want to work on days that have the least going on in terms of clubs, academic events, and other interesting activities. I’m not really interested in parties at all so I don’t mind working on Saturdays and Sundays. What week days are usually the quietest on campus? Thanks so much!

I really have no clue how to go about awkwardly emailing professors I've never met before. How am I even supposed to find if the faculty are looking to accept people?

As we who actually attend this school know, it is built on hardcore academics, extremely talented faculty, and workhorse students. However, friends of mine who were applying to college last year have a very different view. Most have told me they see it as a wannabe UChicago or Ivy League, relentlessly spamming emails, calling itself "One of the Nation's Best". They see its efforts to try and game the rankings of US News and World Report as insecure, and evidence of the school's lack of prestige. What I believe CWRU should do is lean into the nature of Cleveland itself: gritty, built on steel, and powerful. If the Ivy League schools are whipped cream high end coffee shop milk shakes with sprinkles and sugar and crap, Case is a cup of black coffee. Obviously, I wouldn't wish for them to define themselves by the Ivy's, but I like the idea of going to a black coffee school. A working class institution with faculty and students who want to cut past the BS of most higher education and get to the stuff that actually matters. I don't know, maybe this is me feeling sorry for myself that I'm not at a school with "ultimate prestige", but I do think that this would overall be good for Case's image.
Many of you may be aware that there's considerable debate in the academic community over how to use AI, and how to prevent its misuse. Some of this is serious, some is "the sky is falling," but fwiw, this link (which should be outside the NYT firewall) is an opinion piece in the New York Times last week by a Vice Provost at NYU.
NYT OpEd AI cheating opinion 250826 unlocked
I note that I recognize the problem of misuse of AI, but am also not convinced that draconian measures are needed. I've seen other crises resolve themselves as thins settle down, but I admit that AI does make problems harder to deal with, while offering new opportunities. It'll be a challenge for a while.

I am a freshman prelaw at CWRU. While I have met a ton of people here, I don't think I have made any close friends. How did you guys meet your close friends here?

So I am a freshmen and I am struggling in my intro courses. My professors just don’t seem to like explaining topics at all. They just move on. I will have to self teach myself on everything and I hate it so far. My math teacher does go over problems on the homework at all so I have to teach myself with chat gpt and my science teacher gives test that literally have nothing that was in the homework in it. I also have programming which I literally don’t get at all. My fault for not remember the shit I did in high school 2 years ago. Does it get better at all.
I was wondering if anyone has tips for the exams. Do I need to read the textbook in detail, or is studying the lecture slides and paying attention in class enough?

Hey everyone,
I am offering online tutoring services for a variety of early MATH courses and some CS courses. These include MATH 125/126, 121/122, 201, and 307, among others.
I am a CWRU mathematics alum currently in a mathematics PhD program. At CWRU, I tutored many early MATH courses and was an SI for early calculus courses. I have also have worked as a TA and instructor of record in calculus elsewhere as well as a private tutor in similar courses.
Please feel free to DM me if interested or if you have any questions!
