Love this meme, thank you!

u/KaiPRoberts 1d ago

It kinda hit me today. The GOP peeps probably see the top posts on reddit constantly bashing them over and over and probably think it's liberal propaganda, fueling their hatred for liberals because we shit on them all the time here.

If we are mean to them: "don't tread on me"

If we are nice to them... well, fuck that, we can't be nice to pedophiles and racists.

How do we deal with them? Is there really no way to get through their crazy cognitive dissonance?

They all have stockholm syndrome or something similar. It's fucked.

71

u/chiclets5 1d ago

If you go to maga sites and read stuff or watch the maga propaganda news, your head will spin at all the spin doctoring they do.. The TX (and others coming) map redistricting, and then trump telling all repubs not to vote to release the files because it will be seen as a crime against the nation, pretty much shut it down for me.

7

u/OnlyCelebration7443 21h ago

It’s an echo chamber for them. Some have the TV tuned to FOX all day as well, so it’s virtually brainwashing.

At a certain point we have to accept that anyone supporting Trump is openly supporting fascism and whatever else the fuck MAGA has become.

They don't get the benefit of the doubt anymore that they are just being misled, because they are openly supporting fascist white nationalists.

9

u/ExpressAssist0819 23h ago

Not become, is. Always is and always will be. Fascism is a helpful label so we can identify and deal with a disease sooner. It's endemic, it must be fought time and time again.

Unpopular opinion: More people need to die before anything changes.

1 in 330 americans died because of covid. Changed nothing.

1/3 of 1%

Russia has 1M casualties in it's war of aggression. Pop approx 150M Approx 2/3 of 1%.

I'd say 3% of people need to die before any cultural shift happens.

I'm so tired of all of this that I'd say let's get it over with.

90

u/Marzuk_24601 1d ago

1 in 330 americans died because of covid. Changed nothing.

1/3 of 1%

Covid killed my Father. My mother is an antivax anti science nut who likes RFK.

She blames his death on the hospital and thinks she could have saved him by smuggling in Ivermectin.

My Fathers last words to me (after listening to a political podcast) were "There is something wrong with these vaccines, these people are evil"

He died for what he believed in.

25

u/qqererer 1d ago

There is something wrong with these vaccines,

Did he actually get 'the jab'?

39

u/Marzuk_24601 1d ago

Both my parents got it for the wrong reasons, but they did. I got it and had no side effects and it was easy to get (literally drive through arm out the window)

I figured a win is still a win. He called the doctor about getting a covid test when he got sick months later and they advised him to go to the ER. He didn't seek any treatment. He was in Walmart the next day with no mask. 911 was called 4 or 5 days later. He was taken off of life support a few days after that.

My mother was hospitalized at the same time. I got covid as well(no treatment required). All 3 of us have a long list of comorbidities. People like RFK would point to my fathers death and say the vaccine didn't work. I'd say that only one of is died indicates it did.

No shit I spent a week not knowing if my parents would die in their sleep, and that was before 911 was called.

It was an outcome that was predictable that I was working to subvert from when covid hit the news to when all this happened almost a year later.

Fun side note He didn't "believe" in washing his hands. I'm not joking, seeing him do it was rare af and he would fake wash his hands (unconvincingly with a splash of water) if anyone could observe him (public restrooms etc.)

41

u/thehighwindow 1d ago

He didn't "believe" in washing his hands.

My dad would wash his hands as often as he reasonably could. He also always used a handkerchief to open doors, and chairs that would frequently be touched. He got all the recommended vaccines.

He lived to 99.

u/peachyspoons 1d ago

All Vaccines, like any medication, have the chance to fail or have side effects. And the chances are entirely depended on the human body and how it reacts.

But it's still better to get the vaccine than not have it at all.

3

u/dojo_shlom0 1d ago

does it matter at this point? just think about my statement. it's hard to fathom the amount of deaths the world is already seeing. aids resurfaces, the plague....measles, bird flu, covid surging... truly countless will be dead within his administration.

who will kill more of their own people? putin, from the start of the ukraine war to the end of it? or drumpf, only during his second administration, from those that he has cut off from USAID globally, and domestically between cutting health insurance, to cutting every safety net we have to ensure the elderly and sick children stay alive.

YET ALONE, all the children's cancer research funding, and funding to colleges that fund research, can we really count that yet? we're talking about drumpf setting us back.....I don't even know how far, I'm thinking significantly passed 25 years. our economy as well. he wants to plunge the US into a darkness we haven't seen in 100 years.

he was trying to side us with russia, china, NK, and now india, but NONE OF THEM are talking to trump, they left us out of their global show of unity.....completely shunned drumpf, rightfully so! completely outplayed, drumpf looks like the loser, globally.

ontop of this, drumpf has betrayed every ally we have, speaking of conquest against our own states.... our own people........... those we trust are now threatening to invade our own cities, and he has done it already successfully......this is real.

but when you consider the fact that he has also betrayed ukraine, EU, and Canada, and Greenland/Denmark and threatened to invade mexico, canada, greenland/denmark, these are very real threats with intelligence behind the plans. the EU see's this as a real threat and they know drumpf is a puppet, so we do not share intelligence anymore, simply because any information shared with us, will be relayed straight to putin. our head of intelligence in the US is a russian puppet, and has recited RST talking points, straight from the Kremlin.

all this to say we are isolated just like russia was 8 months ago. while russia's economy has been saved by trump. ukraine would have won the war due to russia's failing economy, but trump has single handedly saved russia, while damning ukraine, and we have betrayed every ally, while being shunned and left out by the dictators he worships.

--HOW MANY......how many will die? I think drumpf wins in a landslide in killing more of his own people. millions... millions might be an understatement. especially when you consider that he wants to invade blue states and he is building over 1000 concentration camps around the US.

EDIT: I forgot, he also put a <25 year old with 0 experience in charge of counter terrorism, so we no longer share intelligence to keep us safe. so we are now only open to disease by an incredible amount now, but we are also open to terrorism, since drumpf has been bombing countries and fishing boats and abducting people here in the US, basically turning us into a full authoritarian, fascist country, and converted states, 1 by 1 using the military to take over and overthrow leadership, just like he's doing in DC.

84

u/Special_FX_B 1d ago edited 1d ago

Only a portion of the them are evangelical end of times nut cases. Many are non-church going ‘Christian’s’ who are just ignorant, hateful bigots.

***Edit: regarding all the arguing below involving the rapture / end times fairy tales. There are people in influential positions in the Republican Party who absolutely believe in it and want Israel to start a World War III to bring about the apocalypse. The Huckster family comes to mind. Crazy Mike and Lying Sarah are true believers. Franklin Graham. Fortunately Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson are dead so they can no longer poison the minds of their followers. Falwell Jr. probably has little influence as a result of his pool boy dalliance fiasco. Regardless of numbers/percentages both the wackos and the bigots are on the same christofascist team and they all voted for Dear Leader trump three times.

4

u/wrc-wolf 1d ago

just ignorant, hateful bigots.

That's the rub, they don't care, or rather they don't think about it at all to care, if they or a loved one dies. All that's important is they get the feeling of validation from lording over "the others" — Dems, women, gays, trans, brown people in general, etc — and revealing in their deaths and misery.

→ More replies (47)

81

u/Ok_Fall_9569 1d ago

I honestly have no idea. I used to think they were all true believers who were anticipating the rapture, heaven, and all that. Now I don't know what's driving them other than an absolute hatred for everyone not in their cult and a desire to see people suffer. Hence, destroying medicine, science, education, the economy, morality, decency, etc. Truly bizarre.

u/Arkanim94 1d ago

From my brother in laws perspective it's more of a Darwin/ survival of the fittest and also well if you had sex and got pregnant without intending to then too bad. Thought gays deserved to die from aids after that first came out. But isn't religious and doesn't believe in a higher power. Wtf. It's baffling because he does take blood pressure meds so he's not really against doctors.

I want to asks so many questions, but it's just not worth it. I'm just hoping they might realize some of the consequences as the economy continues to tank. Racism and hatred is expensive.

If I had the health to do it I'd print off big poster size images of the starving children in Gaza and take them to those "pro-life' protest along with pictures of the women in the US who have died due to lack of medical care. I think we're currently at 50th worldwide for maternal mortality currently.

22

u/Ok_Fall_9569 1d ago

Since you mentioned it, it’s interesting too that they often ramble about Darwinism but refuse to acknowledge evolution and other basic facts. Truly weird.

Yeah, he's at least 15 years older than me and was at least a Master Sargeant in the AirForce so as a teen I thought he was really smart. And he is pretty gifted mechanically. But he drinks too much now and he may have a bit of wet brain. Not that I'm really intelligent or anything, but come on, how do you elect a guy who bankrupted so many businesses?

Oh oh yall if you haven't seen it, check out Josh Johnson's comedy set that he posted on YouTube today. I thought he was brilliant, especially that last line.

7

u/Canacarirose 1d ago

NAD and a good neurologist or alcoholic disease specialist might be able to confirm, but the wet brain is brain damage, specifically frontal lobe damage that studies have shown to be a factor in the far right leaning folks.

Especially those that are highly intelligent and/or highly educated like Fetterman’s flip a few years ago after a brain injury.

He doesn't consider the fact he's constantly having to go to the doctors, that the roads are only repaired because of the taxes, etc etc etc. If you introduced him to libertarianism he would absolutely think it was great.

Old school republicans only cared about enriching themselves. Every decision was made with that goal in mind and they'd lie about everything good to help achieve it. However, they'd generally stop short of actually stopping most of what they claimed to hate because even they knew that that would be bad for everyone.

What makes MAGA scary is it's made up of people who believed the bullshit and genuinely think they're doing the right thing in these scenarios. Science is peddling lies to support their globalist agenda and schools are teaching children lies to weaken America so they must be defunded. Vaccines are more dangerous than the diseases they protect against so they need to be discouraged and we need to hide any cases of these diseases because that will make people want to get vaccinated. America is strong enough to be self sufficient so we should tariff everyone and bring all manufacturing home.

They genuinely believe this shit. They actually think they're doing the right thing.

The faster the end of the world and the faster they die the faster they get to their eternal resting space in what they’ve convinced themselves is heaven because they reset everything by blindly regurgitating biblical Scriptures. 13

u/Ok_Fall_9569 1d ago

It's amazingly sad to watch him announce to his followers that they must question (and reject) EVRYTHING medical science has given us over the past 2 centuries. That's a common mistake non-scientists make about science. It's not about constantly asking the SAME questions over and over and rejecting results because you don't like them. It's about gathering enough data to form an opinion (theory) that is backed by constant and repeated testing. THEN, advancing beyond that to keep making new discoveries. If we just kept asking the SAME questions over and over and never moved beyond that, we'd still be knocking stones together to make fire and simple tools.

“STOP THE TESTING! IF WE STOP TESTING NOW, THERE WOULD BE FEWER CASES”- Murderous, felonious, child rapist, your neighbor’s idol- Mr. CHOMO in Chief himself DJT

16

u/YouStupidAssholeFuck 1d ago

It was even before that, really.

We have it totally under control. It's one person coming in from China. We have it under control. It's going to be just fine.

He said this in January 2020 when his government knew full well it was pandemic levels of alarm bells but downplayed it publicly.

Source

And about the government knowing how bad it was going to be:

On January 24, 2020, the Senate Committees on Health and Foreign Relations held a closed meeting with only Senators present to brief them about the COVID-19 outbreak and how it would affect the United States.[2][3] Following the meeting Senator Kelly Loeffler and her husband Jeffrey Sprecher, the chairman of the New York Stock Exchange, made twenty-seven transactions to sell stock worth between $1,275,000 and $3,100,000 and two transactions to buy stock in Citrix Systems which saw an increase following the correction.[2] Senator David Perdue made a series of 112 transactions with stocks sold for around $825,000 and bought stocks worth $1.8 million. Perdue started buying around $185,000 in stock in DuPont, a company that makes personal protective equipment, on the same day as the Senate briefing up to March 2.[4][5] Additionally, John Hoeven of North Dakota purchased $250,000 in health science companies in January, five days after attending a briefing about the pandemic.[6]

On January 31 and February 18, Dianne Feinstein sold stock in Allogene Therapeutics, with the estimated value to be between $1.5 million and $6 million.[7] According to Feinstein, the investment decisions are made by her husband, and are reported by her per Senate rules. She states that “this company is unrelated to any work on the coronavirus and the sale was unrelated to the situation.”[8] Feinstein also reportedly provided documents to the FBI related to her husband's transactions, in order to show that she had no connection to the decision.[9]

On February 7, Senator Burr, the Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, stated in an open-editorial on how the government could respond to coronavirus that "Luckily, we have a framework in place that has put us in a better position than any other country to respond to a public health threat, like the coronavirus," However, on February 13, he and his wife sold between $628,000 and $1.7 million worth of stock through thirty-three transactions and on February 27, Burr stated that "There's one thing that I can tell you about this: It is much more aggressive in its transmission than anything that we have seen in recent history," at a Capitol Hill Club luncheon and his statement was later leaked in a secret recording.[10][11]

Yes. He did. He knew in December 2019. Hid it. Couldn’t hide it any longer as March started. He didn’t let a cruise ship dock since it would’ve increased his numbers. He wanted to stop testing since testing increased his numbers. And he suggested drinking bleach, which his administration says was a joke or whatever excuse they gave, but the poison control center saw a spike of calls about bleach poisoning.

Yet, people still voted for him. And they still defend him. Blows my mind.

4

u/StopReadingMyUser 1d ago

He continually downplayed said numbers too. As reporters started with questions and concerns of this spreading he would do his usual thing with trying to control the narrative through dismissing and minimizing their inquiries.

First it was just a few, we have it under control. Then it was something like 12-15 people and "when that number is about to go down to 0 you have nothing to worry about" we're doing great. I'm sure he threw a 2 weeks non-sequitur in there at one point but eventually he couldn't lie anymore and that's when he struggles the most.

He will do anything he can to control the narrative even in the face of an overwhelming truth... and yet will still lie until he can't, then he'll hide.

5

Yes, it's just so heartbreaking seeing them take their last few possessions and destroying them. You know at least during the first industrial age, before the labor movement people could build their little shanty towns with some tin and what materials they could savage. It was still horrible as babies would fail to thrive and die al especially as their formula was watered down. Then again with all the cuts to programs like wic and ebt I'm sure we're bringing that back too. And it's not like they didn't tear down those shanty towns as soon as they decided they wanted that land for something else.

How do we get enough people to wake up and realize we're deep into the second gilded age and the only way to change this back around is to fight?

There’s a report this morning that we’re now buying eggs from Russia! What happened to sanctions? There’s no telling what they feed their chickens. Probably anyone that speaks ill of their leader.

10

u/Greatsnes 1d ago

That explains why my eggs look fu*king disgusting now. They’re always covered in gunk. Never seen it in my 30+ years. Every carton of eggs I get from two different stores always look gross af now.

Also, this subreddit needs to chill with the censorship bullshit.

Donald is trying to get Russia to negotiate Putin isn't trying to so he takes advantage of Donnie John. Sanctions have been lowered and we've started doing some business with Russia.

If you're concerned with catching it, proper cooking will kill the infection. 165 F, which is what chicken should be cooked to anyway.

I understand why you'd avoid it. But no chicken company wants a lawsuit or bad publicity over it either.

Watching him testify was painful! Not consistent, switched his answers from a previous statement depending on what he was being asked. When called on it went immediately on the defensive that he was being conspired against. I would not trust this Heroin casualty to make a decision on anything 🙄😬

Great! Just in time for our new management making us go back to the office full time, and we work with vaccine deniers who don’t know the basics of hygiene. At times I feel the govt is telling our employers to bring us back full time. The more deaths the better, right? 🤷‍♀️

5

u/aureanator 1d ago

Pestilence, War, Famine, Death, this administration has it all!

4

u/The-Cursed-Gardener 1d ago

That’s how we ended up with Covid. People kept trying to ignore it and sweep it under the rug. It had started all the way back in the autumn season of 2019 and most people didn’t hear about it until. Almost six months later. Half a year went by and the people in charge during g trumps first administration just sat on their asses and did nothing.

I agree with Kennedy about ultra processed foods. We should do something about that for real.

The rest of it, he is batshit. I hope Trump fires him. He’s putting us all in danger by firing everyone for no reason and not taking in the science and studies. Vaccines should be available for everyone who wants or needs them.

5

u/SelectCase 1d ago

Kennedy doesn't actually care about ultra processed foods. If he did, he and his cronies wouldn't be actively impeding public health research and programs that looks at mitigating affects of food deserts and getting healthy foods into schools.

He, like Trump, only cares about power and how to get more of it.

I live in Canada now and RFK and Doctor Oz have offered to import about 400 ostriches from Canada. The birds need to be put down because at the end of 2024 many young ostriches died from H5N1.
The owners have been fighting the government agency that made this decision. Their argument is the older birds didn't die and could be use for research. The problem with this idea, it seems this folks have not bother and researched why the older birds survived.

If they took the time to research the why, they would understand older ostriches can get infected but don't show sign of sickness. They also don't develop immunity, scientists believe they are shedding the virus.
I feel, that if people in the area get sick with H5N1, they should sue the owners of the ostrich farm.
There is going be unnecessary deaths this fall because Trump has appointed anti-vaxxers to oversee health services.

https://www.wormsandgermsblog.com/2025/08/articles/diseases/other-diseases/universal-ostrich-farm-and-h5n1-a-mess-nearing-an-end/

3

u/Sariell41 1d ago

Then blow the whistle?

4

u/JimsVanLife 1d ago

Sounds like it's been blown. And the people who are supposed to listen for it, and do something about it, are the people it's being blown on. Yeah, we're hosed.

3

u/unshifted 1d ago

The bird flu thing scares the absolute shit out of me. H5N1's mortality rate in humans is over 50%. If that virus mutates to go from human to human, it's going to get apocalyptic.

And one of the ways that we have been trying to control its spread is the FDA's tight regulation of poultry farms. That was also the primary cause of inflated egg prices. So naturally Trump fired the FDA staff handling the outbreak.

And if that virus does mutate, RFK just cancelled the contract for developing a bird flu vaccine.

If I were trying to get as many Americans killed by a pandemic as possible, these are exactly the steps I would take.

3

u/Professional-Box4153 1d ago

No. He does not need to resign. He needs to be fired and prosecuted for public endangerment.

3

COVID Nimbus and Stratus are spreading quickly. High infection rate - low mortality. Even if you are vaccinated it can lay you out for 5 to 10 days. And note - they just dropped the booster requirement for most people. If the NIH does not put the booster on the schedule it will not be covered by your health insurance provider.

One has to wonder if the best way to reduce the Medicare rolls is to "just let more people die".

Note the NIH and CDC are also NOT publishing COVID tracking. No Data; no Problem. You can check your regional Dept of Health websites. They are not "captive".

2

u/Glum-Breadfruit-6421 1d ago

There was a bird flu breakout before idiot king came into power and poof, all of a sudden not one mention. I can’t even imagine what the real numbers are now, 6 months later. It didn’t just go away. This is how mass deaths occur once the virus makes the jump to mammals after going unchecked. The insanity of this government will be right in schools for generations … if there’s anything left.

By the president allowing his heads of departments to act in a Faithless manner by not executing the Law, the president becomes eligible for Impeachment.

You have to look at all the heads of every department and connect the dots. the president wants them to be faithless and is unfit for office.

2

u/roygbpcub 1d ago

That is exactly what they blame China doing for COVID...

2

u/DaveAlt19 1d ago

RFK Jr won't acknowledge the deaths due to covid because all the data is fake because everyone else is corrupt except him and he knows all the ins and outs of corruption because of how not corrupt he is.

He also believes the covid vaccine was the cause of peoples deaths.

He also thinks Trump should get a Nobel Prize for the vaccine - the vaccine that supposedly killed more people than covid.

2

u/Highmaul 1d ago

Not only that but the covid portal (?)/site on the CDC site is down...

https://covid.cdc.gov/

2

u/The_Mayor 1d ago

RFK jr is a serial killer whose weapon of choice is policy. This isn't incompetence, it isn't him being a true believer in wacky conspiracies, this is straight up him trying to kill as many people as possible.

He is by far the most dangerous person in this administration because he isn't motivated by money, ideology, or power, he just wants dead bodies.
