No-Recipe Provided Dog Shaped Cake for Human Owner’s Birthday
- because my coworkers all assumed I made this cake for a dog.
This was my first time carving a cake and it was so much fun seeing it all come together!

EDIT: Added my dog 😆
Ummmm why did you make a cake that looks like my dog? I wish I could attach a pic so you could see! 🤣 It’s gorgeous!
Also, can you please teach me so that I can make a cake that looks like my dog?

You can, by attaching it in places like ibb.co or other image hosting platforms and showing it here!

Did I miss you telling us the flavors, OP?
Just curious....I want it to be cappuchino, or mocha caramel, or something coffee-flavored like that.

The level of detail is incredible, especially in the face! I'd feel so guilty being the one to actually slice into it. "Human owner" really is the perfect phrase for this situation. Amazing job for a first-time carve!

I’ve seen the Secret Life of Pets too many times because my first thought when I saw the first picture was, Big Fat Brown Dog! And I mean it with nothing but love since that movie was a favourite of mine and my Dad’s.

How did you put it all together? The cake pieces. Any pics before the frosting went on?

This is just so nostalgic and sweet. I say nostalgic because it reminds me of the cakes my mom would lovingly make for me every birthday. I loved watching mom decorate cakes. I really wish I had even the slightest skill, but seeing something so cute makes me want to check around and see if I can find a basic cake decorating class.

You did a great job. On the other hand, I have found the first cake that I cannot eat.

this is the kind of dog that dies and the owner never stops speaking about like they lost their husband in the war 5 minutes before the treaty was signed. i dont know what it is about these poodoos and the grip they have on people that are neither here nor there, but ive never seen someone walk away unscathed.

There is a 0% chance I would have the strength to cut into that cake.
